I had a thought while praying. I thought Jesus is coming here. He is just about to walk towards me. I was on my knees both in prayer and because I couldn't stand before him let alone look him in the eye. I was ashamed at how much i had let Him down. I'm determined that one day I may be able to at least sit at the back of the group Jesus is talking to. Just sat listening and not feeling unworthy and feeling at home. Saint Teresa of Avila wrote about guided meditation/prayer like this.

If I had one day with Christ I would say where's my dad? Is he in heaven in the house of God? I loved my dad
I saw Christ many years ago in a a nightdream. I will always remember this. In that period I had a sinful life, I wanted to come back to faith but I didn't know how to do. He was surrounded by light. Nothing in this universe can't be compared with the light of Christ. I still have a sinful life, but my faith is that He helps me to change.
Christ always makes the first step to bring us out of our life of sin, dear Malina. Whether we see it clearly or not, whether He does it in secret or in plain sight, this is always the way: He comes to us before we can make our first step to Him.

I am thinking you do not perceive that every time you give us a glimpse of your world and open your mouth to tell us your thoughts and feelings a bright beam of light comes from your being to our beings. This beam changes our realities for a time and if it lingers with us, it may change us forever. Unless you have been us you would never know this. I hope you do not decide to go back into your internal cave, leaving us to feel lost and neglected again. Our God has given you this amazing ability for a reason. I hope I make you feel guilty. I send love and my tiny flashlight beam back to you. I hope you can see it.
I would say Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me a sinner. No questions, no words, nothing...
May your heart have the courage and the love to do just that when you do eventually stand before Him, dear one. May that moment be the beginning of your eternal Joy, and may we all be partakers of it in His Kingdom.

May God help you through this temptation, dear James. This is nothing but a temptation - Christ IS Love, and He created you in that Love, for that Love (for Him).
I feel the same way at times. I will pray for you.
Jesus loves you. He can't not love you. And me , sinner that I am, love you too. I feel exactly like you say sometimes. But its not true, I know this for certain. We are ALL one in the body of Christ. All loved equally despite our sin.
The same thing I say daily in my prayers. Prayer of Confession followed by Thanksgiving.

It's still a struggle as a catechumen to train my brain to be internally still & quiet despite the external silence.
External silence is a great treasure, dear one. Slowly, in time, learn to use it and it will nourish internal silence as well. Use your nights wisely - prayer at night will reveal spiritual treasures in you beyond your wildest hopes and desires.
Please please pray for me. If I had one day I would ask him to allow me to hold all my children and grandchildren with him. My son withholding my grandchildren as an abuse tool..
Where can I hide from your spirit oh Lord? When my dark self faces your ultimate light and the realization of my true self comes to light , what possible words would come out? Like the sinful woman who washed your feet- complete silence and tears of repentance is the only plausible answer and my supplication.

I’m not where you are yet…I think I would sit and listen to Him, just as Mary did. But maybe I would run around like Martha!
There is value in both, dear one, but it is clear which path is higher - Christ Himself tells us. Whatever your heart will do (for one day we all shall stand before Him), may that be for your salvation and eternal Joy, dear one.

Today, there was an armed attack on a church in Istanbul, Turkey. Fortunately, the weapons of both attackers were jammed, and only one person got shot among dozens of people. Blessed is the one who embraces death for love of Christ. My brothers and sisters in Christ, difficult times are coming for us who live in the homelands of our ancestors. Please pray for us, pray for all Christians persecuted in Turkey and the Middle East. Many perished for the love of Christ in these lands and I think time is closing in for the rest of us. Please pray for us that we may find the courage to perish from this world for the love of Christ. ☦️🛐☦️

What a truly wonderful video, Father. I have always loved winter and autumn. In my younger years, I trained and ran sled dogs. The joy and peace I felt while in the forest with my team of dogs. Goes beyond words. A professional dog musher once told me the feeling she had while running her team of dogs in the beautiful forest was a feeling of truly being close to God. This is what I long for, like a desser starving for water. All im surounded and perceive through sense and body and soul is rush for consumtion to have more to be more faster with doing things etc. Being more sicker of it all and grumpier. The good thing is that awarness of it all.

Thank you, Holy Father! Listening, I remembered something from the time when I taught 3rd graders in church school. We did a lesson about Zacchaeus climbing into the tree to see Christ and Christ coming to his house to share a meal and I asked the children (maybe it was the question in the teacher's guide) - oh what would you serve Jesus if He came to eat at your house. Most children said bread and wine --perceiving the connection between their receiving communion and Jesus coming to visit them at their house--and one child said "pizza" because that was their favorite food so they were sure Jesus would also really like it. One child said they would offer Jesus poison. I was a little surprised and I don't remember how I responded. but after class I wrote to my spiritual father and said what had happened and asked how to respond. He told me: thank you for your confession. Don't you know that each of us is constantly offering Jesus poison? that put everything into perspective for me suddenly.

As I was listening to your beautiful words, Ibtried to imagine myself alone in the presence of Christ beside the words of St. Thomas ‘my Lord and my God’ all the millions of chaotic words and thoughts disappeared and evaporated. Eternal stillness that I wanted to loose myself in it surrounded me and realized that I am still restless and lack the peace in my heart. But that I want to experience that alone moment with my God again and more frequently and to be ready to be with him forever and hope to understand so Zi can fight my restlessness and lack of stillness even when intrusive thoughts dissipate. Thank you Father for this video and for your spiritual guidance.

That is very kind of you to say, dear one. There IS hope for humanity despite our mountain of sin, because Christ (His Love, His Sacrifice, His Longing to save us) is eternally the same. May we all be blessed, may we all rejoice in His Kingdom.
It's weird that you're asking this question at this moment in time where i personality believe second coming is closer than most people think. I have a theory that once humanity extends average human lifespan beyond 1000 years we'll witness God. Of course before that antichrist would have to have already been present for some time which is the thing that scares me the most. I pray that everyone will survive these dark hours not with our own strength but with His strength.
It should be the prayer of all Christian hearts that everyone survives spiritually those times, dear ones. It should be the one prayer of the all humanity that we should all be saved by the grace and love of Christ. Be blessed, dear one.

Thank you for your words. Maybe there is something in there I can take to answer my question. I just had a conversation with my priest about this yesterday. We were just talking about connecting with God personally. He said something about it being a fearful thing to approach God. I was a kind of disturbed by this response and what that meant. Maybe because I wouldn't be ready to meet Him... kind of reminds me of something I'll never forget: when my God daughter first started going to Church at around 5 years old. She started to cry with fear for a bit when she first approached our priest, but she kept walking forward. I realized later that it was very likely that she thought our priest was God.
I remember reading that once when I was in my first monastery in Moldavia - that Christ appears only to some because they are the ones who are able to 'survive' His presence while they are still in the flesh. Even during His Transfiguration on Mount Tabor, we know that Christ revealed Himself (His Divinity) to the three Apostles only according to their measure.
If He was right beside me, I'd ask Him why can't we all be good, why can't we all be love, compassion, truth, honesty, self controlled, and perfect?😢
In that situation, I would say nothing to Christ apart from to tell Him I love Him. I’d no doubt be in floods of tears, but I’d just want to listen, and listen some more.
I would ask Him to work with me in my garden or sit by the creek and watch it flow by.
I just want to say that you are bringing me back to orthodoxy. You are one of the only Christian youtubers that I feel like I can trust. I can literally feel, from this side of the screen, love radiating from you and your words. Kindness. Peace. Joy. All the other youtubers, even some orthodox ones, are just another distraction in a world full of distractions. Watching them, you never feel encouraged. It's ALWAYS about something you're doing wrong and how to fix it, just more responsibilities that break me down. And yet, here on this channel you also talk about things we do wrong. But it is always out of love, so it never feels like you are. Of course, watching your videos on the upcoming judgement between us and Christ, I don't think there's anything more terrifying to a heart like mine. To have to stand before God and be finally, completely judged by him for everything I did, and more importantly, for everything I became or didn't become?
God wouldn't even have to be condescending or disappointed, just by virtue of seeing God, and being seen BY God, even if it's a loving gaze, I would instantly be overcome by... terror? I know it's something we all have to face. But there is honestly nothing more terrifying to me. I know I do a lot of things because psychologically, my parents and generations before have done pretty traumatizing things. I know I suffer greatly, and it's even more difficult to be young today, let alone just LIVING in this time period in history. But will Christ say to me, "Those were just excuses you have made for your failures. None of those actually affected you like you claim." or will he say, "Well done, you had to deal with a lot but you did good with the hand you were dealt. I'm proud of you, I knew you could do it."
The idea that whatever he says to me in that moment will define my eternity, and whatever he says is FINAL, I can only hope that even in my apostasy, and even as a prodigal son, he will have mercy on me and more importantly help me to hear the latter rather than the former. Because I may still be saved if I hear the former, but at a terrible cost.
All my questions would evaporate being in such an ineffable presence.
May you rejoice eternally in His Presence when the time comes, my dear one, and may we all partake of that Joy.
In one dry period of prayer these days. I miss the stillness, solitude and internal quiet that winter used toi bring me. Please pray for me that this passes sooner than later.
I can't afford to go to monasteries, but would I ever run off to one now!
Use your nights wisely, dear one. Even just for half an hour, wake up and stay awake in the dark, waiting for Christ. Nothing else, no words, nothing bu a state of quietly, humbly waiting for him. Do this for three days and your prayer will return to you. Do this for a week and your prayer will be renewed in ways you never thought possible.

I would ask Him what the truth is.
I have lived my entire life surrounded by lies, to the point where I have difficulty telling what is real and what isn't. I would ask Him what the truth is and how to tell the difference between that which is true and that which is false.
If you ever had a chance to ask Him that question face to face, you would already see the answer to your question before your own eyes.

Yes most definitely,I would be petrified and I'm sure that I wouldn't need to ask any questions because I would probably know the answers to my questions just by seeing our Almighty Lord... and oh yes complete silent and contentment
I think it's him having a day with me and not the opposite but lets assume a humble mortal can spend whole day with God, and this is what I'll say to him:
1. Can I hug you?
2. What do I need to know?
3. What is the purpose of creating us and everything around us?
I'd like to say that if I only had just one day with God, that I'd thank Him for making me and worship him that whole day. But I know me. I'd waste that one day worrying about Him going away and then I would be crushed and lost when He actually does go.
But thankfully we don't just have one day, we have these seven days and then the eternal 8th whose sun will never set.
I wouldn't say anything. I would try to absorb his presence and mercy.

I can only imagine collapsing into His Presence, flesh failing entirely before His Holiness. Creation perceives Creator in surrender alone, yearning to merge into His Mystery in an embrace that annihilates the self - skin, flesh, bones, even the soul cries to be devoured by its Creator for Union. Emptying the world of its innards and then the shell of it into the flame of His Mystery which consumes all constructs attempting to name Him even. " I AM THAT I AM " is All .. And all of creation trembling in absolute stupidity before the Total Capacity of its Creator

Trusting in Jesus means more than one day.
I know some body ,born orthodox, but she didn’t been to confess for long time and she was afraid to confess because she didn’t know what to say and priest ask her : what you will say if you instant meet Jesus . She has no answer just cray , so priest considered this as confess and her life was changed for ever. Thank Fr.Serafim
There was a question asked by a priest to a child at elementary school: "What would you do if you knew tomorrow would be the end of time?" The child answered: I would keep up playing with my friends"...
What would I do...? I would do many think. I would ask/discuss/marvel at his creations with Jesus. But, I would ask him knowledge
Of His last creation, how to be.
If Jesus said, we have to be as a child, I hope to be as "pure receiver in mind and Heart of God's Love"... Then, I suppose, sharing would be one of his Marvel for Mankind's hearts.

You are blessed to have that desire, dear one. My prayer is that once you fall to the ground asking for mercy, it will take only one fraction of a second for Christ to see the fullness of your repentance and to lift you up Himself, so you may spend the rest of the day in the Joy of His Love.

This was my first thought to the question. I’d beg for His mercy and forgiveness and to create in me a clean heart filled with His love so that I can return His love , which is perfect. Then I’d beg that He would give my Mom the gift of a perfect act of contrition as she is in late stage Alzheimer’s and cannot pray for herself. But, I wonder if, in the deepest recesses of her soul, God is communing with her and transforming her to Himself. Is this possible? Her brain is dying, but her soul is alive. Fr, would you know about this? Fr I thank you for your selflessness in assisting us all in our spiritual needs. You are like fresh water in the midst of the desert. Please pray for my conversion and for the salvation of my mother, Cecelia.

I know it could be the best if I was silent and bow down before Him, but I have a feeling that I would most likely say (when I'm able to talk once again) "Umm... let's make some tea" or something equally stupid instead - depending on whether "one day with God" is at my home or somewhere else. Or perhaps I could finally see all my sins as they are, and would try to say like Simon Peter, "Go away from me Lord, for I am a sinful man"...

Does God condem people here on earth? I feel like my mental state is so bad at times I feel like I’m condemned and I’m a catholic. Please can you explain this to me?
He dont do that we do that if we live in sin.
He dont punish ppl we punish ourself sinning.
Orthodoxy can help you brother, that with the liturghy, comunnion, confession is the key.
Alone we cant cope with the life we have.
I have depression too, due to bulling, my sins, parents divorce...and only this helped me.
