The Denver news has been featuring this guy Carlos for almost half a year now. He still has no job. All the data points to the fact that he is not very employable. No references, no verifiable work history, doesn't speak English. Does he have tuberculosis like a lot of Venezuelans? If so he shouldn't be near public service or food prep. Venezuela will not accept returning/deported Venezuelans. What does that say about the quality of Venezuelans when their own country rejects them?

Their just getting the freebies with their story until it runs out. he can definitely get a free ticket back home. The mayor is offering tickets now that he housed all the ones who didn't get TPS work authorization for 6 months and now their getting evicted.

I’m sorry, I have to admit I roll my eyes that when I hear this. Of course this is Socialism when it comes to paying for law enforcement and firefighters and other services like that. Which many people will think it’s perfectly fine. Also it’s Socialism now that we have public school available to everybody, and even though there are problems with the school imagine back in the day when you had to pay for one room school house with kids of all different age and if you couldn’t afford it then your kid would just be illiterate. And the Socialism we have to get a higher education loans so we can compete with the global marketplace. And socialism we have to make these roads the laws deliver goods and travel. There’s definitely problems, but a lot of the problems are most likely from corporate “lobbying“ dark money and everything else like that.
I guess kind of what made me roll my eyes is how much is framed of Socialism in our system but it’s the exact opposite of just corporate giveaways and corporate greed. And often people say they’re going to “drain the ___” but ends up doing the exact opposite by stuffing his pockets.

      1. I have to admit I roll my eyes when I hear this phrase. Maybe it’s just lazy. I don’t know. I think that’s my main problem, it’s lazy. Because the same people don’t mind Socialism when it comes to cops, firefighters, educating kids in K-12 so it’s not like back 100 years ago when you had to pay for your own child to go to school or they would be chained to a certain lower status without an education, certain medical treatment, etc.
