Luthando Qave from South Africa (baritone) sings "Rivolgete a lui lo sguardo" from Così fan tutte by Mozart in the final concert of NEUE STIMMEN 2015.
The final was accompanied by the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra, led by the English conductor Graeme Jenkins.
Recorded on October 24, 2015 in Gütersloh, Germany.

The singer is not singing forward, he is not singing over the note it is all in the throat, not lifting the soft palet on high notes. This is just a sound, will he be heard beyond the second row. I think the singing is awful.

What an expert you are. Please tell us when you heard this singer live. If by any chance you haven't, then quietly sit down. I have not heard him live, and if you haven't either then don't assume to know what works and what doesn't. Also the "soft palet" is consistently raised when singing vowels unless you sing nasally to one degree or another, which this singer does not- regardless of all other technical abilities he has or lacks. Thanks for you contribution to the discussion, it was nearly totally worthless.
