Like many Konami slot machines, a unique feature can be randomly triggered during any paid game although during the bonus, it's more likely to occur.
The Volcanic Rock Fire Twin Fever Feature will transform a random number of reel positions wild when activated: sometimes you'll be treated to one volcano and other times both! This feature can occur both before and after a spin.
The bonus is triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 bonus symbols for 8, 12, or 20 free games respectively. During the bonus, you'll be treated to the feature frequently, or at least that's the hope, Enjoy!

I like how Konami uses the psychology of colors and sound to keep the player in the game.
The happy tune that is played when you get a nice line hit is telling the brain how happy you are and that you want to hear more so it keeps the player at the machine longer.
For this and other reasons I keep the sound off (when I can) or at a barely audible level.

With sound even if I was losing I wanted to continue and play so that I could be in that happy place.
Without sound and the machine was in the Hoover mode I had no problem leaving.
In your case I see why you play with sound: for your fans.
However if you ever play for yourself without recording turn off the sound and your experience and perception will be different. Uncomfortable and awkward at first because your brain wants to hear the happy tunes associated with wins.

For the Twin Fever machines, if you hear the extra sound effects of the avatars, like the boiler-room sound of the dual volcanoes or the screeching of the twin dragons for example, that's the cue that it's going to be your biggest hit on the machine to that point. For me at least, this is my cue that after that payout, the machine will only lose more than it'll give out from that point on. It's also a good indicator that if you don't hit a jackpot with a max bet when this frenzy feature happens, you probably won't hit it at all on that machine and it's not worth chasing one if it was your intention to do so from the start.... Congrats on the great run!

I'm pretty sure that the feature only appear after if you have no winning lines, if you see you are still losing the second one will appear.
You know, I tend to not think the feature will only appear on non-winning spins, although it may be impossible to say. Certainly it DID appear on a spin that I triggered the bonus, unless that's differentiated. I think though, you have a point that the second one will trigger if the first doesn't result in win, great point, promoted comment!
Most of the time if you have shitty wilds on the left with no connections, you are sure to have the second volcano feature, one think I'm sure is that you HAVE a win each time there's a feature and that happens on all the Konami games (even if it's crap of course). Of course you might noticed that if you see a special animation (bursting, screaming or bees screaming you are a winner or big winner, it's an instant big to huge win). That's something I like about the Konami games (that come from the Japanese Pachinko actually you have in Japan, when you get a win it warns you before happening, so you get more exited).
