This drill is one of the most enjoyable ones to shoot. Great for learning to shoot better and more accurately...and starting with 1 shot and progressing up really helps build confidence in novice and experienced shooters alike. Cheers!
My buddy and I were just talking about you tonight actually. Thanks for the video! Question. Which shot clock/timer are you using? Club Timer or Pocket Pro? Or a different one. They seem to be the two most popular. If you do in fact reply, thank you!
A lot of private clubs open their gates for competitions. I was a Range Officer at a club for eighteen years before I joined their membership. If you're willing to help, take responsibility and join their work parties, it's like having your own private range. There is also dry firing. It teaches the fundamentals.
Fundamentals are key here folks. Reset in recoil, have the trigger prepped and the gun ready to fire when your sights are lined up! Challenge yourself!
Larry's a sfod-d legend, but preaching that outdated low ready, arms locked out like 80s vintage sonny crocket, means he's stopped learning. Clearing a structure with your arms like that blocks your vision, and you gotta compress anyway at every threshold and corner or you'll telegraph yourself.

Great video Larry & Fernando.
If I cannot replicate what you did, I can blame that I do not have my own shooting range like you have. Great shooting !

Nice drill. One of my favorites!
Great drill Larry. Thanks!🇺🇸
The Jensen low ready strikes again!
Love me some Jensen-Ready.
Great demo!!!
Very good drill to make the most of your ammo. I like to do 4 @5yds in 4 seconds. Then move back.
Larry is a national treasure. His influence on gun carriers has saved thousands of lives.
I agree. Shame he's going to prison..
Solid advice.
Nice drill. Thanks
Definitely going to have to try this drill out 🤙🏼

“Move closer to the target.” Now there’s a novel idea. Course when I say it people look at me like I’ve grown a horn out of the center of my forehead.
Ok, ok. But what pants are those?!
Love me some LAV
🤙🏽
Nice Rob jenson famous
ROFL. If you ain't cheating you ain't trying. 😉
Yep!
NAW, IPSC Rules you would still have been over.
First taught as the Gila Hayes 5x5.
Yeah, she invented shooting 5 rounds at a target.
Come on Larry. A red dot at 5 yards?
please do the same exercise with draw from the holster 😉
What would you rather be do? Remove the red dot for close drills, and then reinstall it for far stuff?
@@tsfj1265a fast shooter will run a bill drill in 2 seconds or less at 7 yards. This drill is pathetic for even a casual shooter.
A good drill for starting out, but with five seconds you should be able to make and eat a sandwich and still get your five shots off.
Yeah pretty bad… especially from low ready. Ridiculously low standard.
This is a play on the “Triple Nickle”, but not nearly as challenging. 😬👍 Awful lot of upper body movement during that reload. 🤨
Nothing close to the Trip Nick!

Am curious who asked your opinion.
He's not clearing a structure.
Difference between training shooting fundamentals . And tactics for cqb.
The emphasis is on the drill, not tacticool badassery.
First here!!!!
