Hi Vanessa I am Nigerian can you come we be friends?
Iâve just started falling in love with these Afrobeats/tunes. They pull you in to a land that only you can imagine through the song and smiles from the people.
Such gentle calming beats, which I wish I had been more open to decades ago. These different types of music transport me from my everyday mundane problems and make me smile.
Your translations adds more impact and true understanding to the tunes and makes me love them even more.đ„°

Thanks bro for breaking it down for those who don't know what the song is saying...but for those of us who speak Yoruba, this song is an ORIGINAL đŻ% FUN WON TAN song â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž!
You're welcome. Appreciate the feedback!
Much đđ€ & Gratitude to U, @Mr đ”đșđŸExpressionâŁïžU r energetically empowering & fun! I đ€Your Dance Moves & serious facial expressions, Buga! As a Business Wombman & Dance Director in Miami Gardens, FLorida; & passionately LOVES to dance, I Am keenly inquisitive đ€š & highly concerned when it comes to word meanings. Specifically, lyrically & generally. Altho the beat of songs may hav Gr8 Vibes, the lyrics r significantly important & can make or break a song! Due to the fact that Buga is #1 on My Afro Beats Chart, Your Interpretational Expression added value & a GR8er understanding & appreciation! With that said, I Am indubitably empowered to create a dance to Buga without hesitation as I was prior to hearing & seeing U break it down bit by bit! Which is how I direct & teach!
Thanks Bro. I just liked the song even though I didn't understand it fully. Now I like it even more. Easily my best song of the year!
Would like to see you dancing..go low low buga!
Thank you for the translation.
Thank you bro...you did an amazing job translating

Cool! Nice work. Just to add. Kala means no sentiment or don't be sentimental. Kala gbowo yen therefore means collect your money without showing any sentiment cuz you worked for it.

I must have watched this masterpiece 20 times...
Great job!!!
Thank you for helping me to understand what this song is about.. I love it so much... I saw in many dances to it people would sort of make the stance as he sang buga won... And I said to my self it has to mean something specific.. I actually thought it meant raise up or be strong because that's the feel I got ... Lol .. I also loved your video..
Thanks for your beautiful feedback! Appreciate it. â€ïž
Buga means "show off" or "prime up your shoulders " in yoruba. Though it historically has a negative meaning it has recently had a positive vibe among the youth as a slang to mean "show off your earnings".
Well its more less the same thing. Get up and be strong. Since you have worked hard.
Great job amazing thank you
Thank you.
Good translation. I think you should have started to identify the language before translation...Yoruba language, that would have help ur subs!
You gain one more sub...awesome.
Noted. Thanks for the feedback!

You're welcome. Thanks!
Thank you so much. I was wondering what that song mean
Once again thanks for the translation. I AM SHOWING MYSELF . BUGA
Wow! Well done for the interpretation. I've fallen in love with you from now.
Lots of love from me too! â€ïž
I really enjoy your channel it really adds Value to us who like Nigerian songs but their slang and youruba language makes it hard ti appreciate their creativity and poetry in the musicđ
Yes. I agree there are lots of slangs in the music. But we must also find a way to appreciate the storytelling and implied meanings. Thanks for your feedback!
I think pidgin English and local languages is what made up Afrobeats genre. That's why you rarely see other countries make Afrobeats aside Nigeria and Ghana. Nigerians started making this genre first to capture local audience before the whole world caught the vibe. But Afrobeats will surely evolve with time and you'll be seeing more songs in English language hopefully.
@ ochaya emmanuel...what an odd thing to say....are you a hater in disguise ????đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł....Their slang and Yoruba language is the distinction that distinguishes them from all others....I'm on another continent and personally I find the Yoruba's the Most Creative and Brilliant đđŸđŻđđđ
The pidgin and Yoruba and Igbo makes it Afrobeat.
Thanks. Buga is rocking zim. Faith

Wow this great interpretation thanks bro
You're welcome!
Well done Mr Xpression. The Buga song... When I land, I land softly, which could also mean that there is no need to get high on anything but to land softly with a cool head and later pride yourself with joy, in your hard work - you worked for the money.
I really love the song! #Kizz Daniel and Tekno! :)
@Blossom C. sorry that's not what it means. From the song's implication, it's simply enjoining his audience not to be timid in request ing compensation for the job they did. Also, that he doesn't need to bother about his critics whom he says are already crazy. And whatever the case, even if he was to fall (probably from any potential harm they may cause him), he would land softly, in a cushioned floor. (No injuries). In any case thus far, it's been good and won't get worse. Therefore, he enjoins everyone to lift their shoulder up and walk with pride and swag because there's nothing their critics can do to them.
I like the way you speak
Thanks!
Good job
