Chubs is blue not green he is a very intelligent blue who uses rarely his abilities so I can kinda understand the change it makes it a more diverse group with 4 of the 5 colors

There are mini books in between the main books. InTime,Sparks Rise, and Beyond the Night.
Seth Tolar “through the dark” is a bind up of those. And even if that’s what the interviewer meant, it would mean TDL is the seventh one. So that wouldn’t make sense with what they said.

I don’t care about the plot. the characters and the relationships they have are what’s fundamental for a novel or movie to be good. a movie could have the most unique plot but flat and bland characters. so what if the plot has been used before? lots of movies take ideas from each other.

It's been a long time since the movie first came out but eh. Anyway, I knew for one that they changed yellow to gold and it did sound better. I've never read the book but, holy, the movie just made me want to buy the whole series. I also recently learned that Chubs was originally Blue. In the movie, he fit in much more as a Green and there's really no way he could be Blue in the movie or he wouldn't fit at all but I'm excited to see how he is portrayed in the books. Learning that the movie was quite different from the books gave me the excitement to read their character development in the books, how they started off but most importantly, how was the story told and the writing style. I would call myself a book enthusiast and I would definitely add The Darkest Minds books series into my must read list before even having any preview of them except, of course, for the movie which, might I add, is absolutely perfect. I am definitely looking forward to a second movie, assuming that they won't disappoint us.
