My family recently all came down with Covid and had to be home for two weeks.THANK GOD I had food and medicine storage because we were so stocked up and needed for nothing for two weeks!
I bet the freezer meals were a God send for fast meals. So glad your all much better now.
As a young wife whose constantly trying to figure out how to feed not just my hubby but his work friends and family these videos have helped me out so so much and I just want to say thank you for making them ❤️ God Bless
I have a suggestion on the food storage inventory. I don't have one like yours but if I did I would take my laptop down and make an inventory in excel. That way you can print it out and know exactly what you have and mark off what you use. Then every month you can update it with what was uws and if anything was added.
I'm a busy wife who work and felt guilty about my family hungry for all along. Thank to you!!!!
You have definitely inspired me to organize my pantry of which I have never done very well before. Once things are in the cabinets, past 6 inches, I never have remembered what was there. I took everything out, staked like items in shelves in rows and made a list on paper with amounts in pantry and taped them on the door of my pantry/ per shelf. I don't have an open pantry walk in like you do so things really have to be cataloged to even have any idea what it past the front 6-inches. When I remove something I now change the inventory number next to the product. I'm 72 and have never done this before and I have you to thank you for that. It wasn't easy, but I did it over weeks!! Melaney from SoCal
Kimmy, you are such a wonderful homemaker. 😊 Preparing such nutritious foods for your family, and saving soo much money, too.
I love your music selections. They are not too loud, or distracting from your content. You've become one of my favorite vloggers.
I retired in 2019 and moved away from my family. I still cook like I’m cooking for a family. Sunday afternoon I cook eight meals and freeze four. Then I prep two salads and two sides. I eat buffet style all week except Wednesday . I make fresh pasta and sauce and put leftover taco meal in the sauce . Saturday I eat all the leftovers and go do groceries I need for Sunday . I’m glad I caught this video. I like the idea of flattening the meals to take up less space and making smaller meat loaves . I usually make a huge one and freeze 1/2. Great video !!!
I love when you post freezer meals, same ones as previously shown or not. I am currently on bed rest with this pregnancy, so my husband is helping me do meal prep. Thanks for sharing!
I was in`the hospital for over 3 weeks and on bed rest for 3 1/2 months our baby came out perfect and I Pray yours does also.
I've been following your channel for over a year now but I suddenly had this urge to rewatch most of your freezer meals + baking videos!! They're so comforting to watch 🥰
You are amazing! I love how you just plow through it and get her done. Oh man, when you showed the all those dishes in the sink. I thought that’s the last thing I’d want to do. But you did it and then kept going with more cooking. Yes ma’am, you are amazing! Love watching all your videos. I’m looking forward to the next one. Take care! 😊
My roommate and I make meat loaf ahead as well, but a bit differently, we make individual loaves about palm sized. We bake them off and then freeze them and put up in baggies and pull out 2 for a meal. It helps when we don't feel like cooking a full meal!
I actually always save my onion and celery scraps and freeze them for future broths,
Agreed 💯 I save all my vegetable scraps and make a batch of froth then can it.
I've been binging your make ahead meals videos. Adding more to the shopping list and meal plan for this week now! 🥰😍
Absolutely love your videos, I’m from London, England your take on Shepherds pie is very different to our. Shepherds pie here is lamb mince and the only vegetables would be onions , cottage pie however has veg in, I use peas, carrots and onions. The history behind cottage pie is cool, the servants that would work for a Manor House would get the left overs vegetables wise and would mix in with beef mince, gravy and top with mash then oven cook until brown absolutely gorgeous when you swivel a fork on top of the mash to form peeks and then add fresh crushed black pepper. I MUST try your meat loaf sounds fantastic and not something people in England really have, keep the vids coming they are fantastic!! xx
The onions!!! 🤣🤣🤣 This is the motivation I needed for the week ahead! We’ve been eating out TOO much!!! Love you, friend!!! 💜💜💜
This is so great! I have surgery in two weeks and this was really inspiring, a good way to spend the day before surgery...family can eat well and my anxiety can be kept busy!
Chicken enchiladas: I cook my own chicken, I like the Hatch brand for enchilada sauce. I cook a little bit of diced onion, then warm up the sauce with the onion. I use corn tortillas, warm them on comal ( cast iron flat pan). Then dip tortilla in sauce, fill with chicken and jack cheese, and roll. Once my tray is full, I top the enchiladas with any left over sauce and a little cheese. That is it.
I'm tired just watching you! Wow girl! How nice to have all those meals ready to go!
You can cook dry noodles in a fresh lasagne as well. Just use plenty of sauce. I add a little water around edges of casserole so noodles cook completely. A friend taught me this years ago. So much easier.
So glad to see this video! Perfect timing! I need to fill my freezer with some meals as we have been taking food to some church families who have been having different difficulties right now.
It’s not “traditional” at all but I use cream of chicken soup and sour cream with green chiles or Rotel and Colby Jack for chicken enchiladas (grandmother’s recipe)
Whew I'm exhausted....but you are right it's very satisfying when it's all completed 😻
For your chicken bone broth/stock, don't you ever use the skin and fat? I use it along with the bones and it gives the broth incredible flavor. After straining, I just cool it overnight in fridge then scrape off the fat layer before using. You can use the fat layer for frying.
I have struggled with being a Mother to four boys and a husband over the years to cook them healthy consistent meals. We would be so busy, takeout was 2 or 3 times a week, Since stumbling across your channel I am on my way to being well organised. I would 100% prefer to spend a day cooking and prepping so that we're ready to go by dinner time. Sad confession to make but change is on the way. Thank you for your channel
Try using your Instant Pot on the Soup setting for making stock! I do it for 90 minutes. Thanks for this video-I just added a few things to my grocery list in order to make a few freezer meals this week, and I’m excited for how easy they look!
Love your channel I only have one daughter but with work and school cooking every night is too much. Definitely doing these recipes. ❤
In our culture, or at least in south Africa they say when u cry while cutting onions ur mum in law will love u
Yes! Perfect timing, it's like you telepathically knew 😂
I’ve heard you can use regular lasagna noodles, but never wanted to risk wasting so much food because I’ve also heard you *have* to use the oven-ready ones, so I’m glad you mentioned that!
My 3.5 year old wanted to watch with me and was trying to call your dogs through the computer 😂😍
Watching your videos makes me want to cook...and be organized
The Texan in me died a little inside hearing y’all talk about Dr. Pepper
Lol. I’m a native Texan and I don’t like DrPepper either (or Whataburger!). Lol. 🤣🤣🤣
Me too @HeatherHarris😱. My oldest daughter is an Ambassador for Dr P-we’ve been to the original Dr P museum in Dublin TX-I’d be a rich woman if I didn’t buy so much Dr Pepper 🤪
@@Mamadriggs That is a crime! (ofc i'm joking for anyone who takes this seriously.
Wow! Impressive meals ready to go. The all look delicious.
Totally agree with you 100% I'll take 1 day and spend hours meal prepping, it's a lot of work to do in 1 day and it can be tiring but it is sooooo worth it in the long run!!!
Everybody in my family likes the 'end slices'. So I make mini loaves for each person or a little bigger for 2 people. It cooks faster than one big loaf.
Kimmy you're such an inspiration! I need to be doing this on the weekends to help myself during the week when I'm busy with work and so tired when I get home. My dear late grandmother would always tell me I was "smart" if I did something industrious...so she would definitely say you were very "smart" getting all this done! Love your channel 😊
I have always use corn tortillas. And I use the red sauce from las palmas. And I also add some onion to the chicken mixture. I layer it the same way as you do.
I haven't cried from onions in years! don't cut off the stem , cut thru stem in half, place face down and cut verical strips with stem in tact always, then chop away! it's not hard ,end result is chopped onions just like you have . I honestly couldn't take the misery anymore and came across this from a chef!
I found you awhile back and subscribed but just in the last couple of days have started watching your videos - oh my goodness!! You have just made my life so much easier, your recipes are real, everyday kid-friendly foods just the way we like!! Thank you for sharing your recipes and ideas!!
Thanks for showing how you do your cook ahead meals they look awesome, I love it, Enjoy!
These are my FAVORITE videos of yours! Aside from your Black Friday hauls of course! Thank you for the cooking inspiration!
It has been such a long time since I have seen one of your videos! I miss them so much but when you start making your own videos it’s literally almost impossible to find time to actually watch CZcams! So excited to be sitting down to watch this one FINALLY! and who knows maybe baby will sleep long enough that I can catch up on a couple! 🤗💗
Single parents and wives who have to do all this on a regular basis need a spa day. Not just a massage but get pampered and relax for a full weekend. They so deserve it.
Girl You Rock!!! Thanks so much for all you do to share with all of us!!!
My Sunday is always better when I watch your videos. Thank you for sharing your yummy recipes Kimmy. Sending prayers and love from Croatia
Love love love freezer meal videos! Thank you!
Extremely motivating for me today! I've been procrastinating and I'm tired of the same old meals. Thank you so much!
How did you know, I need this video right now?! Thank you! 🥰
Kimmy that was a great video! Everything looked yummy 😋 Thanks for showing us some wonderful meals to make ahead - I’m exhausted watching you!😂
These are one of my favorite video series you do. Thank you!
I just feel like you are a modern day wonder woman lol. Lovely video thank you. May God bless you all x
Kim, a tip is to not put salt In your stock before it is done. If you reduce the liquid it Can become too salty.😊 If you wait, you Can salt to taste.
Loved the entire video! I’m all about quick meals!! Thank you!
👏🏻 awesome video. I love meal prepping. I cooked dry black beans yesterday in my crockpot all day and then packaged them in 2 cup containers for my freezer. I use them a lot in my black bean and turkey tacos.
I have made your Uncle Rudy’s pizza sauce and it’s the best I’ve ever had. Think I may make some today for my freezer ❤️
Thanks for the meals video. I loved the apron you had on and I love your sense of humor. I got so hungry watching the food. Yum!
Loved all of your recipe ideas! You get so much done in a day!😀 I just love your family and how they are all helping and working around the house in the background! You are truly blessed!
I love it, thank you for all your suggestions. Me and my sister really enjoy and have taken so many of your ideas.
I ❤️ watching your freezer meals Kimmy...they are awesome! Please keep them coming 😘👍🏻💕
Goodness girl!! Thank you SO much for the motivation! Meal Planning was on my to-do list, but I’m going to call it DONE and copy yours and knock out LOTS of meals tomorrow. Have a great week!😘
I literally have to eat my freezer meal stash so I can make more! I’m so motivated to cook more now.
I use the canned chicken from Sam's or Costco, it comes out creamy. I add cream of chicken soup and green chillies and a couple spoons of sour cream, green onions, cheddar or blend cheese. Scoop into the flour Tortillas and cover with green sauce and a bit more cheese on top, bake em up.
You didn't get Jonah to help you this time. That video was so funny when he was trying to make Meatloaf with you. God bless you and love you.
Oh my goodness Kimmie, you are like my TWIN! Love making “make ahead meals”, never mind it’s just my husband and I now 😂 BUT... growing up in a family of ten and having to help with the work load, I STILL find it hard to cook for two. I have a pretty good food storage as well and have a master list of both freezer and shelves and rotate foods often. You are much more organized than I with your pre-printed labels but it is something I should do being as I give away so many meals. It would definitely be quicker than hand writing out the instructions every time. TFS and keep these kinds of videos coming.
Stay well!
Am I the only one who thinks, 'oo her nails are sooo pretty' in EVERY video I watch? 🤣💅
Thank you for the meal prep ideas! 😋Very Motivational and Informative!🌸🌸 Really enjoyed the video!
Great great!! Just what I've been waiting for!!! I love watching you make freezer meals. It makes me feel inspired to do so also!!! Thank you!!!💗
I love these freezer meals they look so yummy! It’s always great to have extra meals prepared
Hey Kimmie! Another great video. I’m starting to meal prep and do freezer meals. Thank you for all the motivation. ❤️
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting and cooking with you. Your meals always look so good! Have a great week!
I love this video. I will be making every recipe in the next month. Thank You!!
Such great recipes. Everything looks delicious
I just found your channel and I love it. Thanks for taking your time to share all these wonderful meals❤
I put the onions in the freezer for 15 min. before chopping. NO TEARS!
Sounds weird and looks weirder but putting a stainless steel spoon in your mouth while you cut really works too!
I take the outa shell off and chop it in half then run it under water then cut and dice it doesn't make you cry 😊
Last week I made a couple of meals ahead for the first time and it was amazing. I didn't have to worry about making dinner because I already had meals made that I can choose from. Love your videos 🙂
I use the recipe on the back of the regular size can of "Hatch" green enchiladas sauce. It is so good and I always have everything I need in my pantry refrigerator. It's so easy to make.
I love your freezer meal videos Kim❤️ Thank you.
Good timing! I happen to be freezer cooking this morning and needed something to watch!
You are inspiring to me today to get to work and get some things in the freezer. Thank you Kimmie and have a relaxing Sunday!
Was so excited to see this pop up on my notifications!! Thanks kimmy !! Love, love when you do videos like these ❤
I knew we were best friends when you said "Dr. Pepper tastes like death." It is the worst. Also, thank you for making so many freezer meal dinners - so helpful for this working mom of four kids!
Your pizza kits are the best! The sauce is so good. I think I will make some sauce ahead of time. Can't wait to see all your recipes.
Needed this! I’ve been in a same old-same old dinner rut. These ideas were helpful, thanks!,
Just discovered your videos , and love the ones I've watched so far. Thanks for such great ideas.
I use cream cheeses, salsa , velveeta, and shredded chicken. It's totally a family favorite! ❤️
These motivate me, especially when I'm working from home for now!
I'm catching up on your channel, love it! Def going to try making that chicken pesto ranch in the crockpot, sounds amazing, and I've never heard of it before, so thanks!
Your videos always inspire me to do better, thank you !
I got what I'm gonna make for dinner this week; thank you!!
Love the freezer prep inspiration.
I don’t pre cook my lasagna noodles ever. If you are making it without freezing just prepare as you did but then add 1 cup of water around edge of pan before baking and they turn our perfect (also do not need to be oven ready).
I do the same except I add about a cup or so more water to the sauce and let it sit for a few hours in the fridge before baking.
Keep onions in the fridge! Cutting them cold helps soooooooo much and 9/10 times doesn’t make me cry at all, and if it ever does bother me, it’s very minimally! Always do that now, and wish somebody would have told me sooner lol.
I throw my diced tomatoes in the blender before I put them in the pot. I've done the same thing, I've accidentally bought Diced, when I was trying to buy crushed 🤷♀️
Whatever works! Lol
I also despise Dr. Pepper, but I like to use a splash of it in green beans while they're cooking! It's kinda amazing 🤭
So excited for a freezer meal video! I already have two in my rotation now. Well three with your pizza kits. We love chicken in a hurry and the pesto chicken. I try to keep a couple pizza doughs and sauce available too. Thank you Kimmy!
Loved all the recipes! I just felt how tired you were after you were done. Whew!
Thanks for all the inspiration Sweetheart. Everything looked so Tasty! Love your Indiana Friend.
I love that you measure Italian seasoning with your heart. 😆
I greatly admire your stamina to accomplish all that you did.i am in awe.
Such a goober! Lol 🤣🤣🤣 “I’m just so happy”
Nearly lost my coffee on the "I"m just so happy to make these meals for me family" crying onion moment! LOL :)
😂
I did too! She's so, so FUNNY! I actually had to pause the video because I was laughing so loud I couldn't hear what she was saying after that. 🤣
