The camp boots you were wearing when fishing in the tent look fantastic, what are they? Where can I get them? Cool adventure. Nice equipment, beautiful place

Thanks! This was a great winter trip i had last winter in Hardangervidda, which is a big mountain plateau and Norway's biggest national park. In the video I'm using the NEOS Navigator 5 Overshoe.

    Hi there!
We are considering to take the same route like you. Would it please be ok to go around mid of april? Isn’t it too warm then?
Is it possible to spend some of the nights in the cabins in case needed? Are they open? Where can we get the key from?
    Thanks a lot for helping!

April is usually wonderful at Hardangervidda with excellent conditions for both skiing and winter tenting. However, the weather can shift from beautiful and sunny spring weather to harsh winter in no time, so you must be prepared for all conditions! Also remember to bring sunscreen/sunblock and polarized sunglasses 😎 to avoid sun burns and sun blindness (but I guess you already knew that…).
I prefer tenting, but the DNT-cabins are a very good alternative. At Hardangervidda there are quite a few cabins, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic I believe you have to pre-book your stay also in 2022. If you join the Join the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT), you’ll get a 25% discount (ish) on your stay so it is well worth checking out. With a valid membership you can also buy a key to get access to the unmanned cabins. Visit www.dnt.no for more details about the different cabins, prices and membership.
      Have a nice trip!
