You encouraged him to leverage his weight from the back leg but he was naturally working off his front leg. Is that an issue or an expected outcome? Would be nice to know. The outcome looked good but what’s the ideal leg to pivot from?

slow balls are harder to hit bc there's less pace and more of your own power and precision needed. Pace on you just need to co ordinate everything and it goes

that's what "practice" is for, to improve your technique first.
Pretty poor observation by the coach. From 4:20 to 4.30 the batsman doesn't have a clear base and keeps moving the back leg across to the leg side and is off balance. The coach keeps complimenting and stating well played and good hands. The the back leg needs to stay and have a L shape and the front leg needs to be braced.
