    If Apokolips is from outside the multiverse, then so should Steppenwolf... therefore there should only be one version of Steppenwolf in existence...
    New theory:
    After Josstice League, Desaad experimented on Steppenwolf as punishment for losing against Earth a second time, and that's why he looks/sounds different in ZSJL
    Yeah, I consider that canon now

    The (cancelled) Snyderverse is the only comic book universe I ever cared about more than "Yea its a good movie". Zack Snyder makes art out of the good old trope characters we are used to. They had it all planned out, a 5 movie arc, with every character gettings their own solo movie, stretching out in like 10 movies in total, perhaps more. Most of them having a more serious tone to them, but the 5 part of Snyders and Afflecks solo Batman would have been the darkest chapters.

    His theory doesn’t make sense. Snyder always intended for his timeline to lead to the Knightmare future. That means the Knightmare future was always intended to be cannon to the Snyder Verse. Therefore it was always intended to be cannon to the Snyder Cut, not the Josstice League. What this means is that the Snyder Cut is supposed to lead to the Knightmare, not the Josstice League. Also, despite the fact that Flash travels back in time to warn Batman, the Knightmare still comes to pass.

    • @Omn1Media
      @Omn1Media  Před 3 lety +6

      No one was arguing Snyder’s intent but how it can be made the current canon as a middle ground for what they have been doing already and what fans are wanting now. The logic is sound in this and is set up in the film and it’s explained extremely well. We do already know that the Flash has made multiple attempts and that it fails one more time to set up the new Nightmare future and in Zacks drafts for the final encounter, the Knightmare is actually prevented from ever happening when Flash gets the timing right and Batman sacrifices himself to save Lois. That can easily be reworked to fit MatPats theory so they aren’t forced to have the Knightmare come to pass using the logic and set ups already in the film to say that, these changes did happen in this version thanks to Flash’s message in BvS. While it’s intended Josstice League followed BvS, it never references that scene so you can retcon to say that Batman never received a message from the Flash in the Joss timeline. Either way, Flashpoint is going to erase both movies from the continuity. This just allows Zacks version to be the canon version until the universe is reset/rebooted in the Flash film.

    • @shawn980
      @shawn980 Před 3 lety +1

      @@Omn1Media The logic is not sound though. The Snyder Verse timeline is already paradoxical. If you’re right about Flash having to attempt to prevent the end of the world multiple times because they fail to do it in the timeline, then it’s also just a waste of time. Also if Flash Point is going to erase the continuities, then there is no point to fixing the timeline.

    • @Omn1Media
      @Omn1Media  Před 3 lety +4

      Agree to disagree on that then because it makes sense to me perfectly and isn’t paradoxical unlike in the comics such as “Barry Allen is the Lightning bolt that gave him his powers in the first place” now that’s a paradox. This follows the rules set up in the comics and in the movie itself. We already know they’ve failed at least once. The Joker alludes to them having tried this more than that. And just because they failed once, twice, three times, doesn’t mean there is some variation where they win and in the original plan, the key was Lois’ survival and Batman’s death. The visions themselves are the side effect of an altered timeline at least in the comics. Key figures in events experience the erased timelines and events in the forms of memories, dreams, visions. etc. So it doesn't inherently mean that they will come ot pass again. The writers can make the winning scenario whatever they want it to be going forward or they can just continue to ignore both films altogether. The only reason it would matter to fix the timeline is as a white flag and truce with the fans who just want it to be acknowledged as canon even if they don’t follow up on it. It doesn’t help matters that they have things like Aquaman that ignored both versions of the film and the bird of prey does its best to not reference anything else. Then you have WW84 which just throws so much up in the air just because they wanted to that you have to do mental gymnastics to make it line up with either version of the movies set in it’s future. They are so scared to touch anything close to either Justice league that until they settle on something or some plan they are just going to continue to walk on eggshells until something breaks or they reset the timeline completely or retcon it. My best guess is after the Flash movie, they will use that to erase what or who they don’t want to continue with anymore and keep who and what they do want to and possibly introduce some new elements to their world and leave anything tied to Snyder’s film short of a few actors and plot points and discard everything else completely.

      @@Omn1Media Unfortunately, I think that’s where the DCEU is heading as well. I think if DC fans ever want to see a cinematic universe that we’re satisfied with, Warner Bros. cannot be part of it.

    • @shawn980
      @shawn980 Před 3 lety +1

      @@Omn1Media For the most part, it makes a lot of sense on paper. Justice League is the bad ending that Knightmare visions allude to, Flash goes back in time to prevent it from happening, and then the Justice League learns about Darkseid ahead of time so they can prepare. But I also see problem with Snyder’s original plan. He intended for Flash to use the cosmic treadmill to go back in time, right? So why did he give Flash the knowledge of how to travel back in time without the cosmic treadmill in the Snyder Cut? How much of this did he improvise?

  • @Shortyd17
    @Shortyd17 Před 3 lety

    This is why I strongly dislike the whole multiverse concept. You can just retcon everything and it makes things REALLY messy. DC could become more convoluted then the X Men franchise lol. This is what I PRAY doesn’t happen to the MCU. I hope they wrap up the multiverse with Dr. Strange 2 and stay away from it for the time being. The MCU has been so clean and consistent with continuity and I really don’t think they should mess with it.

    Bruh his theory makes no sense. Cuz I know what dimensjons and time travel has in this movie series.sensejust between different choices of this team in knightmare only. Not different batmans or different characters. Just choices like he killed joker once, other time he didn't, in one timeline batman does and other one he doesn't. Like one we saw in bvs. And just few days ago terrio trashed josstice league and said there was no multiverse plan till 2018(when they decided to move away from snyderverse). A lot of stuff he said completely doesn't make any sense

      @@shawn980 It is a case of the Flash having to do it twice. The first time on purpose which stopped Darkseid. Because the Knightmare can now be stopped fully, whereas before, it occurred.
      All that is needed is Green Lantern showing up and Darkseid is stopped totally.
      The second time Flash goes back in time, he clearly changed how and who stopped Zod.
      Most likely because the meeting between the Ezra Flash and the Grant Flash occurred in the Josstice League timeline.
      My guess is the Speed Force needs this Flash to anchor both timelines to protect reality, because of the Grant meeting possibly losing the Monitor fight if that moment between those two Flashes does not happen.
