That Starman to Star Guitar is so awe inspiring.
"The Test" sample sure turned into a sweet tune with Richard Ashcroft vocals
The intro to the Test is unreal! Wicked use of the sample.
It just amazes me the work that they put on this snippets and transform into mega hits
Despite being a big Chems and Bowie fan, I never noticed the Starman sample before. Great videos
Same, long time of both, that was the biggest revelation to me, many of the ones that were shown I knew what songs they were going to be from and that was totally new lol
That's why the track is called Star Guitar
Hahaha me neither and I loved both songs! A lot of years and I just noticed !
The sample on 3:36 of Leave Home is from «The Defector» (Recoil, 1992)
“The Sunshine Underground” samples “Asian Workshop” by James Asher.
0:27 I KNEW IT!!! when I listen "galvanize" song first time, I guessed the melody is a sample and it can be from middle east
Just shows the diversity of what they listen to to make banging tunes for over twenty years
I’m pretty sure each one of The Chemical Brothers’ songs samples at least 5 other tracks. Trying to make a complete list would be mental.
Omg I just realized why I loved both Starman and Star Guitar ❤ I never noticed that
Czesław Niemen reference totally blew my mind :O They searched deep for sure!
Star Guitar 😍❤️❤️❤️
+Videoclip
Star guitar and Starman ❤️
"Schoolly D - Gucci Again" - vocal sample on "Block Rockin Beats", drum breaks from Bernard Purdie - Changes
wow! didn't know they had that much sampling. good job!!
Sometimes I Feel So Deserted 🤩
I'd never think they've sampled it 🤷♂️
I would like to see more Chemical Brothers and The Crystal Method please. Also Basement Jaxx. I think a Bentley Rhythm Ace one would be very interesting. Even though they only have 2 full albums, there's a shitload of samples between the two.
these guys are pretty damn good at this
one more drop:
The Chemical Brothers 'Got Glint'
uses sample (melody) from
Bernard Fevre 'Earth Message'
Thank you for your work, after your work on the Daft, I directly put you in my list, and, I ‘m discovering you channel with passion, supa great work ! Me big fan...
Extremely underrated video. Subscribing righ effing now
really enjoy these! basement jaxx, and just a general house music sample video would be great
“Hey boy, hey girl” Has the bass line (a recreation?) from “I Sit On Acid” by Lords Of Acid.
Front Line Assembly would be a great project for this video series. They've sampled artists like Chemical Brothers, Aphex Twin and Autechre to name a few. Be a different take on these videos👍
Beautiful TheCB
Beethoven would be proud
х)
Why? Beethoven was original. These guys use other people's music to create with.
Everyone use everything from everyone else to create. Pure creativity does not exists. It is just a matter of obvious link or not between the original and the sources of inspiration.
Chemical Brothers songs are greats tributes to their originals.
There is nothing original, or at least very little. Everything is derived.
Bethoven would like heard this song
This is mind blowing. Starman>Star Guitar and the Afro Blue vocal flip were highlights. Thanks!
Clearly one of the best channels on CZcams
O.O and now I'm listening to Chemical Brothers again.
Chemical Brothers sampling Klaxons for a song featuring Klaxons
Well spotted 😃
Love this series !
Just discovered your channel. This is incredible. Thanks so much for your hard work putting this together
Mang I love this channel.
The Chems really love Q-Tip, do they?
Would love to watch these series made from the glitch mob! congratulations from all your efforts and shares! keep it coming 😍 peace
Make part 2
Yeaahhh Part 2 I love this, i'm huge fan of them, it's awesome how many samples there are
Great, now I have to break out my Chemical Brothers CDs and give them a listen now. First it was Fatboy Slim a couple weeks ago, then Prodigy...who's next? Looks like I need to catch up...last Chemical Bros CD I bought was We Are the Night...oopsie.
I remember hearing "Setting Sun" when I went to see the move "The Saint" (Elizabeth Shue was sooo hot); I just HAD to buy the soundtrack, which introduced me to Moby, Sneaker Pimps, and Daft Punk and opened my door to the world of electronica. Remember the company/website CDNow? I was probably their best customer from 1997-2000 as I bought at least 200 CDs off their website during that time frame.
Setting Sun still my first and favorite track. The Saint and Hackers; then went from there.
damn that salmon dance is a really nice sample
Do boards of Canada.

Thx for The Prodigy, maybe next will be MOBY? I will not get angry if you do The Chemical Brothers part 2 :)
Boards of Canada
cane creek- do the boards sample a lot?
@@beepst is that what you think, heres a list of known samples they've used bocpages.org/wiki/List_of_samples_used_by_Boards_of_Canada
Wow star guitar is from David Bowie... unbelievable
Great labor, I've just discovered your channel and Im in love; Thanks!
Great work! Just wanted to let you know that Klaxons sample ended up in the track "All Rights Reversed" not "Reserved"
Ah crap! Thanks for the info mate.
makes sense they sampled kraftwerks, after all they are surely a great inspiration to everyone who makes electronic music.
Excellent work
Now this is the kind of video I like to see pop up on recommended. I'll be checking out your others.
30m3 Thanks mate 😊 appreciate the feedback.
6:48 amazing
Orbital next?
Love it.....good stuff ...
Need a part 2 of this video
This is so awesome! Always wondered were It Began in Afrika came from. Great job!!!
LOVE IT, long live sonic exploration
i will never get tired of star guitar
1:01 I was playing this PSVita game called Lumines Electronic Symphony and I heard this song on one of the levels I played. :D
Super!!! Thnx
First time I see this channel , instantly subscribed ❤
David Kalbo
nice one mate
I’m flabbergasted by your works.
Star Guitar = Starman...... Mind blown.
My new favorite channel.
Paul Brendan That means a lot mate 😊
"Three Little Birdies Down Beats" used "Song Of Sophia" from Dead Can Dance !
Chemical Brothers rock
Wow! All these years and I didn't pick up on Star Guitar being based on a sample of Star Man.
My life will never be the same.
2:42 They used this sample originally IIRC but couldn't clear it, it's obviously not the same sample in the final version
Okay, that Mortal Kombat song is freakin' AWESOME at the end!!! What's it called and where can I find it? :)
Music: Response sampled 'The Whip' by Darnell Simpkins.
great video man very interesting !
Jajaj
The best way to think about it is that their records would not exist without them and few of these samples make the difference between 'liking' it or not.
@@johntgw great! I love so much this guys! TCB ❤️
s tcb = Taking Care of Business?
Yoooo I love you so much!! I always wanted to know where some of the samples were from!
Amazing, thanks for this
great job! ótimo trabalho...divertido.
lovin these vids..
The right sample from "Block Rocking Beats " it's the bassline taken from "Coup" by 23 Skidoo" so i knew...
It is in two Mr. Oizo's tracks : Skrillex collab and To Takes It. 5:19
So cool! thanks!
Amazing
Awesome video!
Fantastic work with all of these videos! Can't help but being lost on figuring out your approach in finding the root samples. Seems like a daunting task. Can you share something on this or is it trade secrets? :)
whosampled.org is where its at
They also sampled Recoil "deflector" (4'13mn) for Leave Home, just to add to your work :)
Thanks. I discovering new songs
Under the Influence)), The Tesт конечно же, Surface To Air с его клипом), We Are The Night просто супер!, но когда я недавно услышал их треки Reflection и Sometimes I Feel So Deserted (Skream Remix)

3:27 reminds me of Bob Mortimer saying "Ulrika-kakaka!"
Epic begining
Next please, Genaside II and Orbital.

Fenomenal amigo ♥ paiky en linea 🔥
Just saw a suggestion for DJ Shadows. That would be an interesting one for sure. I would goes as far as saying that would be the best one because, it might just be impossible. What you gone do now???
Escape Velocity samples Baba O’Riley by The Who. Two great songs.
Thanks for this, mate. So educative!
Do DJ Krush, please )
I would like to listen to the original ones too!
Nice there's a handful I didn't know in here! But you're missing a lot too! like the samples for HOOPS. Part 2 perhaps?
Good job!Thanks.
