Well there have been leaks in the dota 2 files hinting at another Half-Life game. The leaks are real but there is still a chance nothing will come out of it. People are calling it Half-Life VR, not sure how I feel about a VR Half-Life.

2:12 The end 6 seconds of racing Hunters across snow, avoiding Hopper mines with Striders gunning for you. I want this to be made so badly. It's amazing work from a fan, Valve should hire them and get working on making it come to life with the vision shown here. This would be a great to see in a sequel.

Valve already stated they're not going to ever work on HL3 because gamers have become beyond toxic over the years and they're worried that the game would not live up to expectations and result in backlash like with Mass Effect

This is the best trailer made by fans I've ever seen!
Half Life has a lot of story to tell, whether in characters or locations. How I wanted this video to be canonical. Cut-scenes graphics significantly better than "hunt down the freeman". I still have hope for the third episode and beyond the return of Adrian Shepard!
Kinda cool to see Adrian Shepard in that last split second group shot toward the end, I've always hoped Valve would bring him back.
The Shield Bug from Alien Swarm doesn't fit so much at 1:16, the rest of the trailer is perfect, well done!

So his suit magically changed colors? Nope. Dr. Kleiner didn't change it's color when he made the modifications at the beginning of Half-life 2, so the color would remain the same since no one else modified it since then.

hl2 had a grayish color theme, episode 1 had an orange/yellow tint to it and episode 2 was deep green and blue

+G4 Legacy It's actually urban camouflage. If it were arctic colors they wouldn't have OD equipment and the uniforms would be all white or white/gray, not white and black.

With such dedication from fans, the creation of Half-Life 3 is almost inevitable. Think about it, Valve must know that Half Life 3, if released, would be one of the biggest releases in gaming history and would make billions. I have an inkling that Valve were waiting for the new generation of gaming to do it justice, so it is not impossible to see it be announced over the next year or two. However, I also think it is unlikely to see the game if it goes beyond the 15-year mark after Half-Life 2.

I'm afraid that HL3, if ever reliesed, will be much like Skyrim - lot's and lot's of hype, development investments will be paid back during the first week of sales, but once the excitement dies down, everyone will notice that the product is barely enough to wrap up the storyline, not to mention dumbed down and plain boring. Same happened with almost every franchise reboot nowadays: Far Cry 3, Deus Ex 3, Dead Space 3, anything-else-3. Maybe Gaben doesn't want the same fate for Half-Life series. In all honesty, it's hard to nail down the true reasons behind the Valve's silence.
Just announced today Gabe Newell confirms that Half Life 3 will come out in Spring 2015.
They should just release the new game on an upcoming April Fool's with absolutely no warning so that nobody'd believe them

My favorite part is when the combine use a suit battery for a door charge.
I think Valve needs to make a chapter when Gordon, Alyx, and Judeth make it into the Borealis and find an Aperture Portal Cannon inside. They activate it to escape the Combine and it fires a portal through a hole in the hull of the ship. They exit the other side in the dry dock in Old Aperture have to somehow escape.
Hopefully, it'll be worth the wait.

thats because the developpers are gearbox studios so for valve these expansion, like blue shift and opposing force aren't considered part of the half life series

about 1-2 years ago i thought of playing half life 1 and after doing resonance cascade and when the creepy headcrabs showed up i was scared like hell so i instantly quit the game and some month later i saw this trailer and thought it was the real trailer of half life 3 and i was so scared of half life. This trailer was made pretty awesome so i was even more scared if half life . nicely done ! good job !

Мне кажется, что если нарисовать два графика, один из которых показывал бы, насколько круче становится HL3 с каждым годом разработки, а второй, насколько выше становятся ожидания игроков с каждым годом, то график ожиданий рос бы в геометрической прогрессии, а график крутости халфы - только в арифметической. Так было с Дюком. Боюсь, так же будет с HL3.
С Дюком этот график обламывался кучу раз, иначе бы она не казалась такой старой.
Дюк - не совсем такая игра...
Как бы они сделали но не та аудитория(те кто играли в неё в 14-16 лет уже потряли интерес к шуткам из игры)
