me and my family has suffered for more than 8 years in court trials, police heckling over fake allegations by a close relative...a lot of time police personnel told us that everybody knows that we have not done anything..yet those years have been traumatizing because police can very easily redirect anything to anyone which is done against them...
i am glad for this info but being someone who has experienced it in the worst form can say that nothing works in the country for everyone..

This basic knowledge should be thought in school and cllg to everyone, just to keep the law and authorities in check , it will definitely make Indian a better society
Let me give an example. Kafeel Khan who got arrested under section 153A . Later on 153B and 555(2) were added in FIR. He was arrested more than month later, on 29 January, and was granted bail by the Aligarh chief judicial magistrate on 10 February. But he wasn’t released for the next three days, despite three release orders from the magistrate.Instead, on 13 February, he received the news that he had been charged with the NSA, and would remain in jail for at least three more months, under Section 3(2) of the Act. If government decides to destroy someones career and life, i don't think all these IPC and CRPC rules will help you at all.

Correct only power or money work. An SHO has so much power forget about IPS. Awareness or speaking law or giving moral lecture in front of policeman wont always work. Such things work only if society is weaponised. So first we need is Right to recall SP And Jury System.

All in all, the judicial system in india is designed in such a way that, hardcore criminals use these points to evade punishment, and judiciary utilizes these points to harass the victim or innocent(who has to proove his or her innocence)

Such things should be taught at school level.Unfortunately ,schools pay less attention to such things.And the lack of awareness about such things among people, especially in the rural areas is really frustrating.
Knowing laws does not help either. For one year, Uttrakhand police did not register my FIR. I had to go to SSP, DGP and court with 156(3). Even then, police did not register it. After one year, after all the evidence were destroyed by accused, they finally registered FIR, but intentionally skipped the main sections. Now it has been 6 months, nothing has been done and nothing will be ever done only because the FIR against a serving Indian Army officer. If the accused has power and position, no amount of law can give you justice. Just look at the Ruchika Girhotra case.
When system itself is corrupt from police to government to Judiciary, common man will never find justice.

@@NishantCosmos There is no peace in revenge. I tried for justice but after knowing the true nature of our system, it was better to back out and stay away from such corrupt people. Evidence is already submitted so my job is done. If system wants to protect criminal, it is not on me.

yeah the important things are not taught in schools, majority of the people don't know this stuff, they don't even know where to look for.
It's really a long process, although it's justify the time but it not justifying people involved in the case for this long. This's need to change and updated. People literally losing their entire life and career because of this. This's a big issue and that's why most choose to avoid it even if something wrong happened to them. This thing also discouraging people to stand against wrongful things. This is necessary to change or updated and fast.
