Crazy deal New Fender Player Series Stratocaster guitar for $529! But I don't know why...

- Here's a quick video showing you a great way to get guitars cheap from time to time. Very often it's Fender guitars and basses and it's usually a model closeout or they are getting rid of a particular color. In this exact case I paid only $529 for a brand new Mexican-made Fender Player Series Limited Edition Stratocaster at Adorama.com . It was a little weird because although the Adorama.com website had a great price listed of $649 I was able to go to slickdeals.com and find a link to the same guitar on Adorama for another $120 less. Slickdeals is a great place to value hunt for guitars and basses!

They did this when they were closing out 2017 HSS strats, jazz and p-basses. Only in the original sunburst. $399. Bought the Jazz Bass and the Strat. Crazy good deals.
I checked a moment ago and this crazy deal is STILL active on February 27.
Gone in April.
Great find! Sadly not much of use for those of us across the pond. With shipping and import taxes it would not be worth the trouble. But congrats on a great deal! ☺
Maybe Andertons will be nice to you and have a decent sale on something? :) I can't buy stuff from them or Thomann for the same reason. Makes the cheap Harley Benton stuff pretty much not worth it in the states after shipping.
LOVE this guitar! I have 2 player series Strats. My fave is my Buttercream color. But I have been jonesing on this color - this guitar, for like 3 years now. I want it!!! What a beautiful Strat. And so easy to change pups and such, if a fella wanted to. A lot of guys don't like these. But I am not one of them. I've had great luck with these Player Series Strats. I want this LPB one! Congrats on that deal! Subbed.
Too funny. I've been lusting after either a Buttercream Strat or better yet a Buttercream Jazz Bass. Those never seem to be cheap.
I'll tell you why it makes sense. Because there are import guitars out there that are twice as good that you can buy for $300. And they are being promoted like crazy on Facebook groups and CZcams channels. The guitar market is in the midst of a much needed "correction."
They have the Tele version of this on sale for $529 as of last night. I grabbed one.

@@MichaelChevy Nope. I don’t think fenders come with cases anymore until you get into the American series. $$$
You my friend stumbled into a great deal. What year is it? Not that it matters but maybe it's old stock, or B-stock? Or they could have bought a large lot of Fenders and gotten them at a lower price. Whatever the reason[s] just count your blessings.
MX23 serial so 2023. I have no clue. Double checked and these weren't an FSR for just Adorama as Amazon has them for $649 right now. I also saw that Adorama had the same guitars and colors in 2019 for $479.99 :)
I'm curious where it shipped from. It seems that a lot of these resellers are drop shipping from a warehouse in Virginia, and they never actually own any stock.
Then they pick what car dealers call an "unsellable" color, and knock it out for a great deal when the warehouse inventory isnt showing sales.
The other way to beat msrp is to slice the tape on a box, re-tape it, and call it used.
Just like Josh at JHS pedals "I have the box." The inside box shipped from Fender to Adorama in Chattanooga, TN and then it shipped from there to me. Did a quick search and it looks like they could have as many as 5 warehouses across the country.
Seems like a player strat instead of player plus, but still a good deal!
