- How could we resist checking out the Great Thinkers Series?! In this alternative history game about the life of Ada Lovelace, a 19th century mathematician who's algorithms underpinned Babbage's "analytical engine." This one will certainly get your brain working hard as you try to optimise out the many potential steps of your turn - just the way Ada would've wanted (we assume... :)). Now we'll be eagerly awaiting the Great Themers Series...
Note: Prototype game featured, art, components & rules subject to change. This is an unpaid preview and as with all of our content, consists of our honest thoughts and opinions.
Coming to Kickstarter: www.kickstarter.com/projects/...

Thanks for stopping by! We're Amy & Maggie aka ThinkerThemer. We're an Australian couple with two very different perspectives of what makes a great board game - Amy (Thinker) is all about the mechanics and enjoys tight, competitive games, and Maggie (Themer) is all about the storytelling and the theme of the game, and the 'world' that the designer is trying to create. Subscribe to our channel to hear us talk about these two elements of a game, and how well integrated we feel these are in delivering a cohesive and wonderful game experience.

What a fantastic, respectful yet critical video. This level of honesty and integrity in a preview video is really appreciated. The game looks fantastic, so I hope they take heed of your advice.
Wonderful coverage. I didn't know about this game until your video - thanks so much for highlighting this project. I'll be backing this for sure :)
Amy’s Dream/Maggie’s Nightmare 😀
phew, your video couldn't have come at a better time! i was in a tough spot figuring out how to set it up this morning with the prototype's all-text rules! now i know where all the pieces go! :)
I'm always intrigued by rondels...and the analytical engine looks *very* cool, as do the programming cards. I hope they listen to your feedback. Can't wait to play this someday
Thanks for the video, ladies! This one has been high on my interest list since I found out about it.
Great review, and a very tempting theme, since I also love the idea of building out the Analytical Engine.
I adore the theme of this game, but glad to know it isn't the most thematic. Ada Lovelace is such a fascinating figure from history. Still I will be leaning heavily towards backing this one. Thanks for your great analysis.
As a computer scientist and software developer, Ada is the Queen!
Great video, thank you!
Very excited for an Ada Lovelace game!
If you're interested in games featuring her, there's Lovelace & Babbage by Scott Almes, a fun little math-based game. The rulebook is not great but the gameplay is surprisingly fun if you're someone who enjoys math, and it has an educational side to appeal to kids and family play.
The box is very beautiful
This game looks clever and not too heavy to learn once you recognize the symbols. Also I just love you ladies! I'd love to visit and play a board game with ya'll in the land down under :).
Wake me up when September.. I mean the 3rd player ends
Great overview, very much appreciated, thanks! Have you been able to try the solomode?
I love the theme, and all the options for scoring, but this may be a bit heavy for my usual play group. Still, it's one I'll be keeping an eye on.
What an amazing game, what an amazing theme 🎉 unfortunately it is too heavy for me, so there would be too much frustration for me playing it 😂 But thank you for showing the awesome game 🎉
I would love this game. Everyone else would hate it.
The Theme and History is very interesting, the game does not appeal to me much. Thanks for the review.
I'm interested in this game, but the everything-including-the-kitchen-sink approach puts me off. It didn't work in Voyages of Darwin or Endless Winter, and, like the latter, this looks like a real table hog - that main board looks HUGE...
Main board is about 23''x24''. Other reviews mention that you can focus on all areas but there are other ways as well to focus on only 2 areas, etc.
The rondel is NOT the most fascinating part of the game?!?!?!
