a friend of mine donated his kidney to someone he never new and will never meet because he also has a rare blood type and in his words "I only need one so what's the point in having a spare" absolute legend
The way this whole story falls together is just amazing. He not only had a great teacher who was a support system for him she remarkably had the same rare blood type and took the time to research what she had to do to become a donor did all the testing before even letting his mom know what her plan was. She’s not only an amazing teacher she’s an amazing person!
As a kidney transplant recipient donors are angels on earth. God bless this family.

Not many people would do that. That mom feels that she owes her life to her. God is so perfect that he made us with 2 kidneys and we can live with only one.

Steve I have followed your...ON THE ROAD life changing experiences since 2013; as a polite and caring suggestion for future reference; I hope and pray that one day you will find a well qualified replacement journalist who will give of himself or herself to bring and make America a better place to live in by showing to the viewers the side of people which often goes unnoticed..hope for a better lived quality life....yet we all know deep inside...it will be very..very difficult to fill in such awesome and caring shoes of a simple man...that all he wants to share is hope thru out America and beyond.
Let's hope his replacement is Awesome!

So around the time this video came out my mom just passed from kindey failure. Dialysis was a every other day thing. My mom gotta call one day saying they found a kidney than couple weeks later they told her never mind. A year later she passed. I remember being so heartbroken and fallen heavy into drugs and girls. So to see this from a teacher which my mom was this just hits me with a wave of emotions.. I'm glad to be clean now and to walk with jesus. But this will never not be easy to watch. I remember going to school high and obnoxious and hurt.. So to the teacher you are a hero for that boy ND his family.

Always tell the teacher the truth! We don't ask about your home life to get in your business, we just want to help support your kid. We fall in love with your kiddos...even when they're quite difficult in a group setting ;) This teacher sure went above and beyond. I'm so happy it all worked out.
