HI! I really enjoyed your reaction, thanks for reacting to 2PM ❤ 2PM are the only og group that is still in JYP, they are 2nd gen legends (they won all the big awards at their early years). They were also the first group to incorporate acrobatics as part of their choreographies, now they have relaxed but their dances were crazy 😯 The first two songs u reacted were written by the oldest member Jun. K and the last one was written by the main dancer Wooyoung (they have been working with JYP for 15 years so I understand why their sound might have some influence of him) And about age, they go from 32 to 34 years old, but they have aged like fine wine lol Anyways, such a long comment! Thanks again for the reaction 😊

Thank you for the long comment haha ❤️ And that is awesome to hear! I do enjoy the mix up they have between crazy and calming choreography it’s nice to view! I also didn’t realise some of the members wrote their own songs I respect that so much! Also I can understand that for sure if they’ve been working alongside Jyp for so long, never a bad thing either as I tend to enjoy a lot of his tracks! Once again thank you for the comment it means a lot 🙌🏻

Jun. K issued several Korean solo albums and Japanese albums all written by himself. He has also written for other artists of the company jyp such as So Lucky for Got7. And all members write songs. Actually the most recent albums are quite massively written and produced by members.

2PM is the group that coined the title "Beast Idols", which means they are very athletic, muscular and toned -- they had/have a much more masculine image then the typical boy group when they debuted. (They debuted in 2008, so this year is the group's 14th anniversary.) In their early days they were also known for their B-boy skills and for their tricking. A lot of their early songs have choreography where they were doing a lot of tricks and tumbling, which was something new in the world of Kpop, and it made them unique.
However, over the years they kind of stopped doing all the tricking in their choreography because they realized that they have to be able to perform these dances on music shows and live in concert, etc. and that meant they had to put a lot of extra training in to make sure they could execute the moves well. I remember in the early days, during their dry-run rehearsals for music shows, they were always falling or messing up and they would take a lot longer to film some of their performances because they were so stunt heavy.
In "My House", which came out in 2015, all the guys were different fairytale characters:
    > Taecyeon -- who is the main rapper and a vocalist -- was the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood.
    > Chansung -- who is the maknae, a lead rapper and a lead vocalist -- was the Beast from Beauty and the Beast.
    > Jun K -- who is a main vocalist -- was Romeo from Romeo and Juliet.
    > Nichkhun -- who is a vocalist, rapper and the visual of the group -- is Prince Charming from Cinderella and he is standing next to his noble steed, the fancy car.
    > Junho -- who is a main vocalist and lead dancer -- is representing the White Rabbit in Alice and Wonderland, which is why you see the bunny.
    > Wooyoung -- who is the the main dancer and a vocalist -- has a poison apple from Snow White, which he is using to tempt the girl into being poisoned by him so he can manipulate her into falling in love with him.
    > And, of course, the girl is Cinderella -- you see her run from the party and leave her shoe on the stairs.
Fun fact: They used to be a 7 member group which included Park JaeBeom -- Jay Park -- the founder of AOMG, which is one of the most well-known and influential hip-hop music companies in Korea. Jay Park is Korean-American and he originally was the leader of 2PM, but because of some misunderstandings and controversy he left the group about a year after debut and became a solo hip-hop artist and music industry mogul. As a teenager in Seattle Washington, Jay Park was a member of a B-boy dance crew, so his skills as a dancer are where JYP got the idea for 2PM's group concept.
Check out Wooyoung from 2PM and Bang Chan from Stray Kids teaching Shindong from Super Junior and comedian Kang Hodong, best known as a cast member on the variety show Knowing Bros., the choreography for "My House," as part of a special summer project they did in 2020 called TTXQ, episode 5 part 1: czcams.com/video/-qLKKccS_kE/video.html and part 2: czcams.com/video/j696cT5FNcw/video.html. (Each part is less than 15 minutes long.)
"Go Crazy" came out in 2014. You should see them perform "Go Crazy" live. They are very tired after performing this song because they literally go non-stop from beginning to end. And yes, jumping on one leg is a major workout -- it's even really hard for them to keep doing.
Yes, 2PM is a JYP group, so their choreography and song style is very JYP-like. JYP is known for his dancing and he has a hand in, not only producing his groups' songs, but he often participates in creating the groups choreography, so you will see his style and influence, especially in the early days, of all of his groups.
"Make It" came out in 2021 and this song was part of their highly anticipated comeback after being on hiatus for 5 years as the members all took turns serving in the military. Must is the name of the album. Wooyoung is the guy who started the song and he was the one who wrote and composed "Make It;" Jun K, who is the main vocalist, is the one with the high notes; Nichkhun is the one that sings the first chorus; Taecyeon is the rapper; Junho sings the second chorus and Chansung is the one who sings the pre-chorus and the bridge. (When they debuted they were all 18-20 years old; so in this MV they are 31-33 years old.)
2PM's fandom is named Hottest because 2PM is supposed to be the hottest part of the day. And they were actually created as the counterparts to JYP's ballad boy group 2AM. 2AM's fandom is named I AM because 2AM + 2PM = one day and when combined they become "I AM Hottest." The groups were sort of designed to be the polar opposites of each other as part of their concepts.
2PM was also one of the very first Kpop groups to have a Thai member. Nichkhun is known as a prince of Thailand. (He's the one that most often has the English lines. Nichkhun and Taecyeon are fluent in English because their families lived in the U.S. for several years when they were growing up.)
2PM debuted in 2008, about a month or so after SHINee -- both iconic groups who are still going strong and topping the charts even after more than 14 years in the industry -- so even though 2PM is a JYP group and SHINee is an SM group, in the early days, 2PM and SHINee appeared on a lot of variety shows together and they were often paired together. So, 2PM and SHINee are pretty close.
On a side note: GOT7, a former JYP boy group that debuted in 2014, originally was created to be the junior version of 2PM. So, GOT7 was supposed to take after them, that's why GOT7 debuted with the song "Girls Girls Girls." It is also one of the reasons why GOT7 members Mark and Jackson trained in martial arts stunting and tricks because JYP was hoping to replicate 2PM's style and skill set.

My House went viral a couple years ago (five years after its release) because of one of the members' fancams, that's why it has so many more views. But yes, I do agree they do smooth much better lol. They do upbeat fun stuff very well too but their best stuff is their R&B type tracks imho. And they usually sound even better on stage than on the recordings.
    Anyway, thanks for reacting. 😊

Thank you for ur reaction for 2PM! Btw those songs u were reacting were written and composed by member (Jun. K for Go Crazy and My House, Wooyoung for Make It)
I’d like to suggest you to react to “Promise I’ll Be”, just curious if that song also has jyp vibe from ur perspective. Or please react “ADTOY”, one of fandom’s favorite that was actually made by jyp. Or their debut song “10 out of 10” if you want to see how different they were back then. They had done more acrobatics and were known as beastly idols.
Btw, 4 members who are still in jype are now executive directors of jype. Jype gave them that position bcs of their contribution for the company.

Heh. You've not even seen any of the performances that show where they get their "beastly idols" nickname from. Try "I'm Your Man" at House Party or any performance of "A.D.T.O.Y." "Back 2U," "Missing You," and "Good Man" are also performances that no younger group would ever be able to put on today.

If you like their mature and slower songs then you'll like them! They have r&b style songs since their first album, comparing to other groups their concept was always more mature. I recommend A.D.T.O.Y., Back 2U (concert version as you can hear their live vocals and it doesn't have the autotune that was in every song from that time) and Promise (that one was written and produce by Taecyeon, the rapper whose voice you liked while reacting to Go Crazy)
Thank you for reacting to them!

And there are old songs that JYP wrote for 2PM :
10 out of 10, again&again, heartbeat, without you, i'll be back, hands up, comeback when you hear this song, A.D.T.O.Y(specially recommend this one)
There is onother title track that a member wrote : Promise(I'll be) Taecyeon(rapper) wrote this song, and many othe soog b-side track that other members wrote too.

Album to start with - No. 5. My House is the title track from that album. Everything on it and since then is what I feel is their true sound, since they’ve now stepped away from JYP writing their music and crafted much more of their own. They haven’t had a JYP title track since ADTOY in 2013. I feel like you might not click with their earlier songs, so I suggest moving back in time. You can hear more and more JYP in their past sound.
Also, they have 7 Korean albums, 6 Japanese albums, countless singles, and all members have released solo albums. Unfortunately, they’re on a bit of a break to do solo projects, but we hope they’ll come back next year as a group. They haven’t held a concert since 2017, and that’s when they absolutely shine.
Thank you. I hope you’ll react to more. Might help to see who wrote the song in advance next time, now that you know they write some of their own music. Their B sides are gold, so I hope you explore.

Thank you for this reaction! Hopefully this isnt your last video of 2pm haha they have so many bops! But I would reccomend watching:
    - Hands Up (party vibe)
    - ADTOY (r&b vibe)
    - With me again (latest japanese comeback, similar to 'make it')
    - Again and again (Old school bop, won so many awards)
They were the blueprint for the beastly and muscular kpop idols we see today so it's amazing to see so many groups take after them.

Their other popular songs like Again and Again, Hands Up, Heartbeat, I'll be Back, are made by JYP tho, most people know those songs without knowing they're 2pm songs. Hope you will react to those. Tho honestly I like most Taecyeon's stuff cause they're kinda experimental, like their 2016 title track "Promise (I'll be)" and the B side of newest album "champagne".
