Helped by Mary - Peshtigo Fire's Destructive Path Extinguished Around Champion Shrine

One of the first graces of Our Lady of Good Help occurred on Oct. 8, 1871, during the Peshtigo Fire, the deadliest fire in US history. Named after the town of its origin, Peshtigo, WI, it is often overshadowed in its infamy by the Great Chicago Fire because the two raging fires occurred on the same day. The Peshtigo Fire claimed more lives and was much worse, in terms of lives lost in its path of destruction, than the Great Chicago Fire. In this video, prepared by Peter Scudner for the documentary, Helped by Mary, about Champion Shrine, The Most Rev. David L. Ricken, Bishop of Green Bay, talks about how intercessory prayer, through Our Blessed Mother, to her son, Jesus, helped protect pilgrims during that fire who came to the grounds where The National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help now stands in Champion, WI. A national Novena is held to Our Lady of Good Help Oct. 1-9th every year in Champion. In the present day, every Oct. 8th into the morning of Oct. 9th, hundreds gather at Champion Shrine to pray the rosary all night, (on the hour, every hour after a 7 PM (CST) procession paying homage to Our Lady's intercession that resulted in what many believe was the Miracle over the Peshtigo Fire at Champion Shrine. This annual time of reverence, remembrance and gratitude at Champion Shrine ends with a celebratory Apparition Anniversary Mass held every Oct. 9th at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help.

Even IF the events happened as he depicted, which I highly doubt, how would you possibly correlate the rain with a god? That would have just as much validity as if I asserted, hypothetically, that your god is responsible for the fire in the first place.
