SPICY GOCHUJANG PASTA 🔥 with Garlic Prawns Recipe

  • Hi home chefs! I’m new on youtube but not new to the kitchen. I’ll be posting weekly videos so subscribe for more cooking videos :) This video shows how to make simple but delicious shrimp rose spaghetti.
    This is my version of Shrimp Rose Pasta. This recipe makes 2 large portions.
    Ingredients:
    - Spaghetti (or any pasta of your choice)
    - Garlic- 5 cloves
    - Onion- 1/4
    - Shrimps- 10 pieces
    - Button mushrooms- 5 pieces
    - Butter- 1 tbsp
    - Cooking cream/ milk - 150g
    - Gochujang paste- 2 tbsp
    - Tomato ketchup- 1 tbsp
    - Red pepper flakes or chilli flakes- 2 tbsp
    - Soy sauce- 1 tbsp
    1) Dice onions and garlic and chop slice mushrooms into small pieces.
    2) In a bowl, mix the gochujang paste, tomato ketchup, red pepper flakes and soy sauce. Set aside.
    3) Season the shrimp with chilli flakes, salt and pepper.
    4) Boil the spaghetti in salted water until al-dente (cooked but firm texture).
    5) Heat up oil and butter in pan and sauté onions, mushrooms and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
    6) Add in the gochujang mixture set aside earlier.
    7) Add some salt and pepper to taste.
    8) Pour in cooking cream. You can use milk as an alternative.
    9) Toss in the shrimps and simmer for 2 minutes.
    10) Add in cooked pasta with a little bit of pasta water.
    11) Eat while its hot!
    Optional: You can sprinkle some parmesan cheese at the end for extra creaminess!
    In my household, we practice ZERO WASTE so any food waste from my cooking will either be composted or fed to the chickens. I encourage you to practice zero waste too!
