First of all - they are all sitting their with smart phones and not one of them thought to google search the definition of the words. Iconic and Legendary are similar - based on the words icon and legend. Nicole got them backwards though. I would say Kim Kardashian is iconic (she is definitely a reality star ICON) but she is not a legend by any means. Ricky bell said it best - Jodeci has a place in the history of black music that they have etched out, but they will not be remembered in history of music the same way a New Edition, a TLC, a Babyface or a Michael Jackson would - because I don't think they ever truly had a crossover appeal. First of all - they are all sitting their with smart phones and not one of them thought to google search the definition of the words. Iconic and Legendary are similar - based on the words icon and legend. Nicole got them backwards though. I would say Kim Kardashian is iconic (she is definitely a reality star ICON) but she is not a legend by any means.
Ricky bell said it best - Jodeci has a place in the history of black music that they have etched out, but they will not be remembered in history of music the same way a New Edition, a TLC, a Babyface or a Michael Jackson would - because I don't think they ever truly had a crossover appeal. They had some of the best music in R & B, but they did not do anything historical really in terms of breaking records or setting records. So in my opinion did not leave enough of mark. That's why i'm not even remotely interested in seeing a movie about them.

Legendary just means you're well known/popular; which means Jodeci is legendary, not iconic. This also means that Kim K is TECHNICALLY legendary based on the definition. You may not like her, hell I don't like her, but fact is fact. Now, the best example for iconic that I think everyone would agree with, is Michael Jackson.
