I love how this version changes so many things to fit omori, even if the blood is still not accurate to the game, and the collar isn’t directly related but can be derived meaning from. The changes do a good job balancing the two sources and the art is very detailed. Well done!
I suppose the collar could symbolise hero's attachment to Mari, and the grieving of her death. (Maybe? I'm not really sure.)

Honestly the blood works as symbolising maris death, and since he didn't know sunny killed her by accident, and believes in a suicide, since he was her partner it could be symbolic of maris blood on his hands, and he failed to save her but is still attached and holds on
Works with the symbolism with the collar as well being attached to a corpse, mari still have her grip on him even after death
the collar works as his grief keeping him hostage, making him unable to move on

I love the implications of Hero not being able to move on and the ghost of Mari "enslaving" him, like he feels guilty for leaving her and wants to move on, then does a 180 and starts taking hypnotics to see her if I got that right, then kills himself to be with her. Also the implication of self harm with the blood on the wrist(?) and Mari's neck markings and the collar idea, like a noose. It's so dark and twisted but it's also so sad and fits well with what we know about his character. I had my doubts knowing what this song is about and what dynamics it usually is used for, but this is amazing and a really nice take on Hero's "relationship" with Mari after she dies and his relationship with grief. I like to imagine this is what would have happened if he didn't have Kel and the others.
I like how Sunny and Basil are looking to Hero because THEY knew the truth from the beginning, while Kel (smiling like always) and Aubrey (just with a normal face, idk if i could say angry) are with their eyes closed, because they didnt know

This leads to a terrifying thought for me, like we don't know much about what Mari was like behind the scenes.
Everyone puts her on a pedistal, was she actually a good person or are they all in denial?
She was a teenager with her nerves on edge, it's impossible that she was that calm and perfect like the way she is portrayed.(Sorry for the english)

Its heavily implied that she was a perfectionist to a fault and likely put a lot of pressure on Sunny to do well in his violin playing, intentional or not
A few interesting details I've noticed after rewatching a few times that I haven't seen first time watching:
0:30 - Sunny has an eyepatch. This animation goes after the good ending... holy shit.
1:22 - Hero is taking drugs in order to see Mari in his dreams/halucinations.
1:25 - the spirit of Mari (the bruise around her neck shows it) is holding Hero by the chain, he never let go the guilt, and neither did it.
0:19 - there is only Mari's photo on the shrine (thanks for reminding me the word), then at 2:19 there is Hero AND Mari. Yep, he fucking commited sui-oyasumi.
I just noticed the eyepatch after which I looked for comment about it.

the attention to detail is amazing, the marks around mari's neck, the bags under hero's eyes, the blacked out polaroids in the backround, how mari has one eye open during 1:01 cause she is what Something manifests as compared to the original music video, the mirror scene with something and mari, the way mari flashes into a skeleton at 2:03 !!

THIS WAS BUSSIINNNNNNN! The twisted and seductive nature of the vid gives me a different point of view spefically for hero obviously, the first frame where sunny and basil are clapping and their the only ones looking at hero show's his perspective of what else surrounds his dark thoughts regarding mari's death. I feel like the dog collar represents he belongs to mari only emotions, tramua, and all. The music gives me a very carnival craze feeling in the atmosphere like everything is chaotic and i like ittttttt.

What I think this animation is trying to tell is that Hero is unable to get over Mari's death, and therefore is unable to move forward in romantic relationships. The parallelism between the collar and the rope is really beautiful; she's gone, but he's still attached and almost obsessed with her. I really liked this animation. Good job!

Absolutely obsessed with this, I love this song and I love Omori so obviously I knew I'd like it, but holy crap- Hero is my favorite Omori character because of the way he deals with grief, it's subtle in the game, because we don't see him grieving. We only hear from Kel how he felt about Mari's death, so I'm happy to see more Hero content in the wild 💜💜💜

So there is a difference between being masochist and being driven to such a painful level of grief that you become insane and hallucinate of your dead lover and try to join her in the afterlife...
You must be dense or a minor. It would make no sense with the song connection and all scenes after blood showing. Poetry and its symbolism is taught in your first two years of high school. Maybe it's the lack of media literacy nowadays but look harder next time on these. It's an insult to take someone's art so surface level.
This is on the same level of someone wondering what was the point of a video showing red thread tied to someone else, and not doing the three second thought process of knowing that it symbolizes a romantic tie between them. I advocate for you to jump into some Intro to Poetry or Critical Thinking classes if you're somehow not a kid. They're great uni classes.
Otherwise, I don't think viewing videos like this is fulfilling to you unless it's spelled out. You'll just make insulting remarks to the artist and create a wave of misinformation that's all due to short mindedness. Jeez, if I got a common like this on my art, it would feel like you spent no time at all trying to consume and understand my media, and then what's the point of consuming art if not to care about the deeper meaning?

People are saying it's traced with no proof? Some of these shots aren't even in the OG vid. Also like, if you look at their other vids, it's clear they have a specific art style that stays constant here.

I've always felt really sad for Hero/Henry after knowing how much he loved Mari. I am sad for Sunny too, as his sister just died cause of an accident... Still, not knowing the truth for years must be really really awful... Imagine someone you really loved died with no justifiable reason that you can think of...
I'm glad Hero is somewhat doing well in the main timeline of the game... but imagine if he didn't distract himself with high education... I wonder...
