Touring musician here and I backed the 40L on their KS. After watching a TON of your bag reviews, I'm realizing it's time for an upgrade. You're so right about this price point needing to come with better materials. Love your channel and thoroughly appreciate all the info!
from one musician and backpack-lover to another - cheers dude! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions, and keep rocking 🤘🏼
Great review, A-A-Ron! I’ve owned this bag for 2 years now and it works well as my personal item on flights fitting under any Delta/AA/Southwest seat. Pro tip, use the shoe compartment for a smaller/slimmer packing cube and put your shoes on the bottom of the bag.
You were spot in about the dangle problem though, it drives me nuts!
Dang fitting under the seat is awesome 👀. Now I’m going to go look up the dimensions of the travel backpack I just bought to decide how jealous I am hahaha.
Update: 3 inches taller than the listed dimensions so… probably small enough to get past the gate attendants? Thanks for the tip A-A-Ron
Please tell me you're referring to the classic Key and Peele sketch; substitute teacher?! :;-) :'-) Jay-Quillin
@@justbrowsing81 of course! That skit changed the lives of all Aaron’s around the world overnight 😂
I’ve had the 40L version of this Nomatic Bag and it’s been great for my road trip/weekend bag
The look and compartment wise, this Nomatic 30L is great. Great review in this video. 👍👍👍
Got a similar bag ( Under Armour) 35L, great weekender backpack & sportsman duffel. Cool looking bag too. Nomatic has a following but rather out of reach for most folks. Awesome presentation mate.
Cool review, dude! I remember the Nomatic backpack and messenger bag being very prone to scratches. Is it the same with this one?
I 'm kinda shocked to see that basically every external pocket eats up so much room in the main compartment, though. I think that would be a deal breaker for me (I'm still looking for a nice one-bag-travel bag that can be used in an office setting.
Cheers, Chris!
Can you please please review the Black Ember Dex 30 and or 45 with accessories?
Ive been looking for a replacement for my High Sierra OTC Backpack. Im missing the hard pc shell of the High Sierra OTC. Unfortunately, they no longer make it. This could be a replacement.
@Nomads.Nation how "rigid" is the backpack without being full and/or while empty? I am not a fan of the flimsy..floppy style bags. Also, are you aware of any packs with a hard PC shell like then OTC?
@@gregwarren1538 I am not. This bag keeps its shape OK, but it's not a hardshell, no travel bags are that I know of.Lighter travel bags are the trend right now and hardshells are heavy. If you can go smaller then the Peak Design Everyday Backpack, Ekster Grid, and Nomatic Backpack keep their shapes very strongly
I backed this bag on KS , liked the boxy look but it was really not enjoyable to use. Too heavy, cheap materials, hard zippers on the edges, messy organisation, etc. Ended to sell it. Nice video btw.
I might have missed it but did you mention whether the zippers are from YKK or another reputable manufacturer? Because i believe nomatic uses unbranded zippers which is just unacceptable especially for what nomatic charges for their bags
They are not brand name zippers - one of the many reasons that I always say Nomatic bags are overpriced
This will be very random for a backpack video but I'm very curious as to the t-shirt you're wearing (it looks awesome) ?
This shirt (and most of my shirts) are from Cuts. Best looking shirts ever and super comfy, my only gripe is they don’t take stains very well
P.S. surely, if the whole backpack community puts their resources together, we can start a movement called something like STODA. Stop Dangle!
Held this back till after the bellroy vote. My tin foil hat is itching. Srsly kind of a dope bag.
The drain is clever. Looks kind of uncomfortable and not super ergonomic.
That bag may have an identity crisis going on…
We’ll never know the truth!
