For the OP, the branch that naruto is carrying has to do with a japanese celebration called Tanabata. During this celebration people write their hopes and wishes down on a strip and then tie them to a bamboo tree. So basically it symbolizes naruto carrying everyone's hopes and wishes.
Its kinda ironic since the final boss is inspired from old Japanese folklore called Tale of Bamboo Cutter

Honestly, these anime writers are really talent. Like in Naruto, how do they even come up with these? From like the Uchiha’s massacre, the way to find peace here, the backstories and all. Such incredible work.
It’s not the anime writers tho. This is all written by Kishimoto alone, who wrote the manga, with maybe help from the few editors he's had. So this entire series was only written by one person, with a really small handful of editors helping. And that just goes to show his talent, being the head behind all this.

It was an animation error when he absorbed the Rasenshuriken that was meant the be the first time it was revealed.
I noticed it when it aired, unfortunately, it ruined the reveal for me.

@@bateenfryad6570 I tried to verify it but the panel in the manga is very small and not detailed. Not clear either way.
But here is my reasoning.
The moment that he activated in the show the Mangekyo Sharingan transform into the Rinnegan and the other characters started to point that out. It does not make sense to me that he activated it earlier without them showing the transformation and other characters pointing it out. So animation error is the most logical conclusion. There are a lot of errors in Naruto and in Shipudden.

@@kunalsebastian601 .... That doesn't make sense to me, then why in the next scene go out of their way to show the Mangekyo Sharingan transform into the RInnegan. In most cases the reveal of a new ability is shown in a dramatic way. Showing the transformation and showing people react to it.
The transformation scene has much more of a hype effect than suddenly showing in one scene, having no one reaction to it. And then in the next scene showing the normal Mangekyo.
The most reasonable and rational explanation is that it was an animation error, which there have been quite a few of in Naruto and in Shippuden.

I'm pretty sure because each of naruto's clones contains an equal percentage clone of kurama, since both of their chakras exist within the same vessel.

I know I'm gonna get a ton of hate for this and I apologize in advance, but the mask guy is Jiraiya. Basically, once Pain supposedly killed Jiraiya, Jiraiya actually managed to survive and slowly surcame to Nagatos twisted philosophy on how to achieve peace, which he would later change quite a bit. Jiraiya later learned a forbidden time warp sort of Jutsu by uniting the 6 paths etc. This Justu essentialy equated to time travel. I'll let you fill in the rest.

Carson, Lindsay, something cool I thought you'd like to know. Madara's English voice actor is now the English voice actor for Theo Magath from Attack on Titan.
The shuriken-like stuff Madara throw at the 5-kage is Yasaka Magatama. Itachi also called it his "strongest long-range attack' and used it to destroy the Planetary devastation from Nagato along with Naruto and Killer bee.
It is also one of the 3 legendary weapons. The other 2 are Totsuka Blade and Yata Mirror.
While Itachi was only able to throw 3 of Yasaka Magatama, Madara is shown to throw 14 of them.
Onoki is for real the biggest Tiny badass there is! He is so boss 😂 body is like Completely broken from two fucking meteorites landning on his head and still he is talking back to madara and and has the Will to fight! This man is underated!

Loved your reaction to the opening. Glad you both appreciate Opening 13. Visuals and song are both great. Naruto and Kurama fist bumping makes it even more fulfilling with the right amount of emotion. Seeing the Kage come together in this episode was brilliant too. Onoki’s speech to Naruto in striving to amend for past mistakes and telling Naruto to focus on the other Madara was absolute gold. The outro has weird looking visuals for Naruto (reminiscing to ED 14 with Sakura) but the song is soft sounding and something that I appreciate a bit more than before.

The reanimations do have unlimited chakra. They can go forever and never run out. That's why Itachi was able to do all that crazy stuff against Nagato and still keep going. The negative is that the general potency of reanimations in combat is lowered. This also makes it so the only person who really gets a boost from being edo tensei is actually Itachi himself since his attack power isn't really what makes him strong and he can just infinitely spam all his hacks abilities like tsukoyomi and amatarasu. Unfortunately, it doesn't really matter that much in the war arc. Coming up very soon the writer sorta throws stamina out the door, and stuff starts to not make sense on that front.
For me I would rather say more than penalty it is like the replenishment of chakra for reanimation. While you can't perform a Jutsu needing 'X' amount of. Chakra with less than that as reanimation doesn't provide chakra. Also the person will be nerfed than he was alive due imperfections in Jutsu as in Naruto OG the 1st and 2nd seemed to be same level as sarutobi while 1st himself was as comparable to Madara. So, the nerfing of Orchimarus reanimation was greater as Kabuto always says he improved the reanimation to near perfect. Which is the case.
No with the reanimation jutsu you do have infinite chakra it's even stated again after this episode.

The chakra is unlimited btw. Thats the whole point in being dead, they dont tire, hurt or run out of energy. He can keep going forever

I don't know for sure, but I'm pretty sure the first time he used the Rinnegan before it was officially revealed was meant to be an animation error. It was right as Naruto was about to hit him with his Massive Rasengan.

For me this is the best Naruto opening, song and artwise. On the level of the Flow opening the one with Jiraiya. Its not only beautiful ans perfectly orchestrated, but also I love when they focus on characters that deserve to be aknowledged like Tsunade. This is the era though where Shippuuden really goes out of its way to always bring at least good openings and endings. Which thankfully has been also brought to Naruto SD and partly to Boruto. I would say Silhouette also would be on this level if not for the cringe riding scene.

He changed from the sharingan to the rinnegan for a quick second to stop the massive rasegan. You naruto sent a massive rasengan at madara and madara's rinnegen gives the ability to bring forth shadows of himself and stop people without them seeing. So when naruto sent his rasengan madara changed to the rinnegan stopped the rasengan and then he activated the susanoo and laid waste to everything and everyone.
So it wasn't a error it was just never explained
