- How do you go about switching to a winter wardrobe?
For me, year after year it gets easier, cheaper and more fun. I keep some things from autumn, take some winter items from storage and everything fits! This year’s winter wardrobe includes 12 tops, 5 bottoms, and 3 dresses. In total, I have at least 60 interchangeable outfits.

I must also say that I am 73 years old and have been using these colours for over fifty years. Recently I discovered capsule wardrobe and I finding it fun to push my wardrobe in that direction. Thank you for all you do.
I'm 72! It's good to see another "mature" woman commenting. I've gotten so many ideas from Daria on how to combine pieces that I already have.
Oh my, Daria! I love you style, and I love this capsule! And the orange and burgundy together - amazing! You are one of my style icons!
Nice to finally see a capsule wardrobe that actually has some colors in it. They suit you beautifully
I truly adore your style, so original and fresh!
Your new hair is lovely ! (=) form Brazil)
As a student living in a small shared apartment, I don’t have much storage space for my season-specific items (most landlords don’t allow us to drill the walls to add overhead storage as well). Thus before relocating from the tropics to the Netherlands I took some time to make sure that the clothes I take with me can be worn all year long, with additional layering pieces for colder months. I’m glad I did it, I noticed I didn’t have to buy too many things to help me survive Dutch autumn/winter, except for some down jacket & fluffy wool coats I found in secondhand stores.
PS: where did you find the maroon sock with Pacman ghost print? It’s so adorable 😍
It's "A-dam socks" :)
Khrystyna Kozakevych thanks! There’s a store near my campus too, definitely checking it out asap!
Hey! I'm also moving from a tropical, very hot, city to a very cold one in Germany. I was wondering something, I like to use dresses and skirts but I don't know what type of panty hose to buy, I saw Daria and other people wear it but I don't know if simple ones are enough to protect me from the cold. Thank you!
You are a color master, Daria. I love your winter wardrobe and the pops of color are so fun but also sophisticated.
Thank you! ❤️
This is why I follow you because your capsule wardrobe incorporates a lot of colours.
Thanks! More colorful wardrobe examples are coming soon!
Orange is my favourite because it warms up the winter🙂 I had an orange sweater just as the same tone as your hat. Thank you for all you do 🧡
I love your new wool pants! They fit your style very well, and look so comfortable.
I love the camel dress with the buttons!
Daria, your hair is so becoming like that and feminine without being froofroo.keep it up please. Loved this vid.
love the colours!!
I love love love your monochrome burgundy look all the way down to the socks! So striking but simple!
----Iraida R
Thank you for sharing, Daria! Beautiful! I also choose analogous colors, and right now it's dark green and navy and shades of blue. I would love to know about your source for socks--I have a hard time finding warm, sustainable, and fun socks!
Love this wardrobe so much. Especially all the colours and the monochrome. You look fabulous!
I really liked seeing you wearing the outfits. Wish I could match colors and prints like you do! I always find something to learn from your vids, thanks :)
Thanks for kind words! I feel awkward modeling, teaching is much easier 😂
i love your posts! i have my own system too...however recently i changed my style from tunics and pants to long skirts and jackets, hence i have made quite a few changes and purchases!! every year i like to re-evaluate at the end of the season and pass on/give away what didn't work. last year i replaced many sweaters with cashmere ones, so i am excited to start wearing them soon (still quite warm here). everyday is a new fashion challenge!!
All of your clothes look high quality and well made. You have really good taste in clothes. When you say that you own some of them for a couple of years, you certainly know how to take good care of them. How do you prevent the colors from fading? Thanks Daria
Thanks! I don’t do anything special :) I only use an eco powder for colour clothes, or black for black, white for white. I always wash on 30 degrees, gentle cycle, no tumble dry, never load too much. That’s it 😉
@@wonderwardrobe thank you!
Daria, thank you for sharing! Your method of planning and organizing is really putting together all the values and tips that I want to follow. I'm super happy that I found your channel - it's very supportive to see someone doing a professional job in what I'm interested in ❤ Love from Poland
That last dress is beautiful!
I really love this video format we get to see better the outfits..thank you for the efforts you put into your work .
This week I Will start my first winter capsule wardrobe. I have I dress I need to repair and them I am ready mix and match!
I adore you!
I love your hair! It looks great with the knit hat.
I like your wool coat and bright red puffer jacket 😍 I organize my winter outfits by material and color.
I have a question: where do you have cardigans and warm sweaters?
I live in a Nordic country, so for me they are a must have (would be nice if you make a video for people living in cold climates, such as Scandinavia, some parts of Russia, Canada and some parts of US)
Daria, I was delighted to see your winter wardrobe. It included brown and orange and red. My wardrobe is brown, cream and all shades between. I also include a lot of green. No black, no white and no jeans. It can be difficult. Thank you.
Hi Daria, thanks for another inspiring video! You hair looks great curled like this, it suits you very well. :)
It's amazing. I love it too much.
Beautiful Daria! Thanks for all the inspiration. I was just wondering, what do you wear for cleaning, cooking, and house chores? Would be very happy to know the answer!!
I like your hair. So pretty. I have slowly learned to put into action your principle and another fashion consultant on YT. It has made life easier. Because it gets cold I do have to bring out winter wear but I still wear basics from summer too.
Such an incredible video! I love your style and all the combinations! You are so inspiring and a great instructor!💖👏🏼🌿
Aww thank you for your kind words! More educational content is coming your way 🤓
Love your hair like this! That sweater dress is perfect
Great pieces and capsule for sure.....but I can’t imagine winter without boots.😀🧡Deb
Really enjoyed this video. Your clothes and use of color are so interesting and inspiring. Thanks 💕
,j
Thank you for the support! More interesting videos are coming your way! ✌️
I love the camel wol dress!
Thanks! Me too! ❤️
My winter wardrobe is all about layering. I do not make a specific winter or autumn palette, since I stick mostly to greys, pastel blues and recently to greens. My items have different degree of warmth, so that I can feel comfortable in both +5°C and - 30°C.
I am a winter but I sometimes have trouble discerning between cool and warm colors. I couldn't find a video covering this from you videos. Can you point the way or recommend a video that is fairly comprehensive? Thanks. You look great and your wardrobe is fun and exciting
Also, who is the burgundy suit by? Fantastic!
I think Justine Leconte has a pretty intensive video on the subject!
But I think something I’ve learned over the last while is that it’s hard to tell the undertone of a coloured item without comparing it to items with “known” undertones. I generally try to wear something that has a cool undertone when I shop so I can compare a new item to it and see if it complements the item I have on or clashes with it. (usually a scarf!) Since all of your items in your colour season should be complementary at least at the colour level, that’s a good indicator of whether an item shares the undertone.
@@sablisland That's a great idea. I'll check out Justine's videos again. :)
Thank you Daria, really nice and informative video 😘
Thank you very much for sharing!
Daria, I share your idea of having woolen clothes for winter, including socks which I have knitted myself. I am looking for woolen tights now.
Those are the best kind, when knitted by yourself ;)
Hello Daria. Though I enjoy your videos as a bright winter it is often difficult to conceptualise your capsule wardrobe ideas for myself since most of the colours in the pallettes you respresent are warm and maybe a part of the autumn category. If you have the bandwidth to do so, would you create a bright winter pallette for any of the seasons or other ideas that you do? Thank you for all your work!
Tha dark navy dress looks so flattering on you... I assume it's a COS one, right? 🥰🥰🥰
Thanks! Yes, it’s maybe 2-3 years old. I used to love COS 🙈☺️
Where do you find purple/burgundy? I love it, but I have difficulty finding it!
I find burgundy quite easy to find during the whole autumn and winter season. I can think of the top of my head Lanius and Armedangels both have lots of burgundy in their current collections.
Can you link where you got all these items from?
Dear Daria, can you share with me the app you use to create these wonderful wardrobe capsules?
Hi Daria, the marion jacket is perfect! Where did you get it from?
I also still wear clothes that are more than 10 years old! I have a question: how do you store the clothes that are out of season? Do they take up a lot of storage space?
I store most of the clothes in big cardboard boxes (I only need 2) except coats and blazers. Those stay on the hanger in the closet. So, no it doesn’t take much space.
I really like the green skirt, been trying to find a similar one but no luck :( would you please, please tell us the brand? 🙏
It is from COS. I saw in stores last year.
Thank you :) I kinda assumed it was from COS but didn't manage to find one online.
It’s 3 years old, probably that’s why you couldn’t find it.
How can I purchase the sweatshirt???
