Thanks for the thorough review a year later. Will eventually be trading up from the GLC to a cpo GLE450. Now sold on the black interior, thanks. My biggest gripe is the fact that you can have adjustable rear seats only with the optional third row which is only in 10% of GLEs sold. For a high end luxury SUV, it would be nice to be able to recline in the back even without the third row. Not a dealbreaker as the rear seats are pretty comfortable but still. I agree about your gripe, but found a happy medium between the wheel and the seat on my test drive.
Good review! I like it. Like you I could get the GLE 450 without the AMG bits and be good with it. How do you like the leather compared to the MB tex that they offer which I think in vinyl. Mercedes says it's easy to clean and durable. I have a GLE 350 4 Matic with it and it looks and feel good but I do wonder about the leather. I usually see Mercedes with the MB tex and not the leather so I do not know but in all of my other vehicles I had leather. Also, that is a complaint that people say about Mercedes that for a luxury car leather is not standard. I would like to know your thoughts about that and thanks!
Personally, I haven’t been in one I don’t like so leather or not, I think they are still good. That being said, you can tell the difference and I would prefer the leather quality. 👍 thanks for the question. :)

I would like to know your thoughts and I don't want to assume that your prefer the 450 over the 350. I also assume that biggest difference from the 450 and 350 is power. I think the 450 comes with more amenities and is the leather a part of the 450 package. Like it does not come in the MB tex. Thanks and again great review!!
GLE450 is perfect GLE, 75-80k car with good equipment. AMG53 is pretty much same car 10k more for very small improvement, except for snobish ego trips. AMG exterior is still nice touch. Mine is 3 years old, almost 80K miles, no complaints.
I bought a 2024 GLE 53 amg recently, in comparison to the 450 it has a completely different chassis setup, better suspension, wider range between sport and comfort. If you grab these extras you have a really sporty car that's still a relaxed ride, while in the 450 you just have a comfy ride.
Not really. I have the same gle450 2020, my third new Mercedes in a row. The vehicle is pretty enjoyable, can’t complain about quality issues much. Maybe the ride is a bit bumpy and the seat’s quality can be better… Other than that I am thinking to get the brand new GLE450 again.
@@rossoner81 Just put 275/55-20 Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Highway Plus tires. I did same. Completely different comfort level, not bumpy and very strong handling qualities. This is not track car and these tires are probably the best all season choice for GLE. If you have 21+" wheels go to 20".
@@rossoner81 Just put 275/55-20 Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza Highway Plus tires. Very good handling, but with totally different comfort level. And keep a little lower pressure (32-33 psi). It is not a track racing car, so it is easy to achieve very good balance between great handling and full comfort.

I haven’t. Recently drove the 24 GLE 450 but not the 350
