Dude this is amazing. I played the the Lightning Warp Variant a lot and always had trouble with this kind of Movement especially in tight spaces and Maps. I switched a couple of hours ago and this is the most realxing playstlyle besides my RF Chieftain i ever had in POE. Thank you so much for your Video and Content :-)
Tried running this build a couple leagues ago after discovering Conner's content. Was very interested in it but despite how incredibly knwoledgeable about the game Conner is he doesn't have a great ability to explain waht he's doing to someone with less game knowledge than him. Allie made a video about this build last league which helped and now yours is going into even more depth which I appreciate. I didn't get very far when I tried this build -- tried it in early maps and was getting destroyed by most things. I didn't realize that a magblood was as important as it is to pull everything together. I got my mageblood this league but never got around to trying it again before burning out. Maybe next league. Glad you're having fun -- looks like a special build. Hope it doesn't get too popular and GGG returns some comfier level of mana leech.
Mageblood..? I league started arma brand of recall hiero and then swapped to mjolner around lv 85 and was able to get through yellow maps. After leveling gems and tuning mana correctly you can blast t16's. You definitely don't need a mageblood.

@@angelo2268 it's tough around yellow maps, but that's exclusively because you're swapping to a stack setup which only gets better after a certain limit over traditional builds. The build can't really start up easily, you'll need a little bit of gear to get it actually rolling unfortunately. For me I think I had roughly 8k mana with indigon and mjolner and ivory tower before I really got it rolling (which was like 15 div at startup). I think I swapped over when I had ivory tower + mjolner + prism guardian and it's pretty tough without having good jewels and stuff on.
I am glad you came out the gate and gave the source (1ManaLeft/ConnerConverse). Citations matter! Great breakdown of the build! I'm sending around to friends who might try it out, since I think this is an excellent intro to the whole big mana Ivory Tower archetype. EDIT: For other people coming here now, note that 3.25 will nerf Adorned, which will still be good at 100% (cap), but be expensive. Instead, try the old Split Personality method. It is still amazing, and was meta just a few leagues back, before The Adorned took over.
I checked the PoB, made a rare amulet which stacks a bunch of int that you can find for about 40 div in trade. Literally just having a 50c Eyes of the great wolf amulet with +30% attributes gives more stats. If anyone's looking to make this build but can't afford attributes/ mana amulet, it's probably more worth it to just get a 30%+ attributes great wolf and farm up currency to get attribute/ mana than to use a rare.
I just couldn't quite understand the attack speed part, maybe because of the language barrier, could you explain it to me a little more in the comments? Like, if the CD on mjolnir is 0.25, I have to make sure the Attack speed, let's say, is close to the values 3/3.25/3.5/3.75 and so on? Or is another thing?
You want the attack speed to be close to the cooldown, but slightly slower. So if you can trigger 4 Mjolner on-hit procs per second (.25 sec cooldown), you want your attack speed to be as close as possible without going over. If it's exactly the same, that's ideal, but hard to get. If it's slightly slower, like 3.9 attacks per second (.256 sec per attack), then every attack will trigger a proc. If your attack speed is too high, say 4.1 attacks per second (.24 sec per attack), you will hit again before the cooldown has finished, and have to wait another for another .23 seconds to trigger another on-hit, which means you can lose a huge amount of damage.
looks dope, may give this a go. had been tweaking some cyclone captain lance builds that uses energy blade/cyclone, but more for mapping rather than his sanctum; this looks really solid.
You can get attack speed on jewels as well (up to 5% as a prefix, and 8% as a suffix, or vice-versa, I don't remember). If you're going wtih The Adorned setup, that means you can cap ASPD with 1 or 2 magic corrupt gems while getting some other decent mods like increased mana and increased elemental resistances or str/int.
That's true, and it is an option, but it will sacrifice a lot of potential power from Str/Int/Mana scaling via Adorned. It can absolutely work as a stop-gap, but for long-term optimization, you will want to pick up that AS elsewhere.
i wpuld like to add to this video.. i have played the build endgame for about 3weeks now, and i must say, it truely works, only downside is reflect maps, otherswise i zoom through everything 🙂
its my second league and your forbidden rite pathfinder build helped me clear pretty much everything so its safe to say I will be trying this build out too
Been playing with this build since start. I love the transfigured arc one that does 50% more dmg per chain left. Obliterates all maven invitations especially if there's more than 1 boss.
Thank you for the clearest explanation anyone has ever given. I am about to try it and have a question. There is no spell suppression, but is there any problem with durability for doing high difficulty content?
At the current state of gearing on this character, it's clearing Ubers and t17's without much difficulty, but it can't totally face-tank all boss hits. At peak levels of gear, it can face-tank absolutely everything. Uber Maven Memory Game hits are nothing. That will require a serious level of investment, and probably a super-tanky weapon and shield combo on a weapon swap, but it is a possibility if you're willing to take it that far.

Hello sir, I've played a manabond build during TOTA league (3.22) in order to delve but I didn't really like it. Mana tattoos were crazy strong but non constant dps wasn't fun for me and delve was pretty boring too. You either destroy the content or get destroyed since your gear isn't strong enough. And the gear is REALLY expensive when you're talking about int and str stacking with forbidden jewels to do crit. The build with blight boot was also pretty slow too (150% base ms capped) during delve when I removed lightning warp. But this league you are using archmage so it's another variant of a build with thor hammer and you have access to automation. It used to hurt my fingers having to press both left and right mouse button for a long duration so if you can automate arcane cloak, I can see the build be more enjoyable. Also one thing it noticed during your mapping showcase with the citadel map (and verified with the passive tree): you are not using the ES mastery that makes your light radius based on your ES. Since you want to reserve all your life, if your light radius is based on your life, you won't be able to see past your feet and it's not really enjoyable. So I suggest you drop a point somewhere and get the mastery (or lvl up). You may want to use your evasion scaling with you gloves with grace aura instead of wrath to get to 19k evasion. Not sure about that since you can't really run a jade flask or you would have to drop the amethyst or quicksilver flask. If you have mana trouble with your leech not doing enough dmg to get back full mana after arcane cloak since you kill mobs with your cast while channeling in t16, you also may want to use the mana mastery that gives you 10% dmg recouped as mana.
You can use 40 Mana & 6% Damage Recouped as Mana as a crafted ring prefix if you're not using mirror-tier rings, too, and that also really helps with sustaining mana in longer fights.
I league started this build in Necropolis and at the end it was simply amazing to the point where I'm genuinely worried for next league to find the right starter build, that does not feel like a letdown :( First build to push to 100 and it had everything I seach for - do "everything", speed, tankyness as well as damage sto the point bosses become trivial in the end. I'm worried the build spoiled me for other builds. But i dont want to simply repeat the process with the next league

It should still be doable. You'll want to start as some other Inquis or Heirophant build, maybe Storm Brand, then transition into this once you have the gear to get it started.
Hey, may I ask what the purpose of dread banner is on this build? Personally I replaced it with precision to cap out my accuracy to make CDR easier to balance. But if dread banner is really important, I might drop precision and balance my CDR in another way.
Dread Banner gives a modest bit of defense. You could probably argue that Defiance Banner is slightly better in this setup since we're not using Grace, so the Crit Reduction would be a little more consistent. It's definitely not essential. Swapping to War Banner or Precision for more Accuracy seem like pretty good optimizations!
I was considering playing a Forbidden Rite CoC Occultist, or variants like Ice Nova or Stormburst, but after the flask changes (mana cost and elemental resistances), the build, despite investment, seems to lag behind others. So, I was thinking about CwC Soulrend, SS Trickster, and Archmage Mjolner. Soulrend involves a lot of flask management, which bothers me, and Trickster doesn't use Cyclone, which I really enjoy. Mjolner, on the other hand, requires Forbidden/Flesh jewels that cost around 600 Divine Orbs, making it a difficult choice. Thanks to your video, I think I might go for Mjolner despite not having the Flame/Flesh jewels.
Excellent! You don't need Flesh/Flame to make this build work. They're good/fine, but basically competitive with Adorned, so really just a viable alternative rather than a requirement!
I just saw this build a few days ago and started working on it. I have most of the items as your build shows and am really enjoying it so far. I am a more casual player and don't know all the ins and outs of POB and other assist software, was having some issues with getting frozen and wonder how you are combating that? Also just subbed thanks for the great build video!
Thanks for the kind words! As for dealing with freeze, you have several options. You can use a crafted prefix on boots, you can just take Brine King, or you can use a Stormshroud unique jewel and then use a flask suffix or Essence-crafted boots to make yourself Shock Immune, which then makes you fully elemental ailment immune.

so, what do you do now that call to arms is no longer a thing. when i use auto exertion, i cant enable the buff because of the eternal blessing support on wrath. please help
Yup, it absolutely should be good for 3.25 league start. Level it up as a Storm Brand Inquis or Hiero and then switch over to the Mjolner setup once you have enough gear to get it off the ground.
I've been league starting with this build (previously using manabond) for a few leagues now. The biggest hurdle early league definetely is the crit swap, the eldritch jewels cost is rather low early on but it skyrockets pretty fast. This league I've reached the point where there is no more relevant upgrade, at 20k energy shield and mana, for around 110M dps, with something like 2 mirrors worth of gear. (without mageblood btw) But now, with the exposure mana builds got this league, thanks to the archmage rework, I'm afraid I'll need a new op and cozy build for next league. Any suggestion ?
You clearly have a good level of game knowledge if you're operating a build like this at a multi-mirror budget, so rather than a full-fledged build idea, here's a suggestion to get started: Damage conversion. It's probably the single strongest defensive mechanic in the game. Because enemies cannot penetrate converted damage, it completely trivializes many of the toughest mechanics GGG has for making bosses and monsters dangerous. Face-tanking Uber Shaper balls, etc. Mahuxotl's Machination is not the only piece to build around, but it is probably the strongest. If you combine it with a Lethal Pride under Rakiata (for Tempered By War), you can convert 100% of your Cold and Lightning damage taken into Fire or Chaos (and 50% of your pre-Conversion Fire into Chaos). This makes defensive gearing extremely easy. It also converts your Leech into Slayer Overleech, so as long as you have a source of Leech elsewhere in your build, the self-sustain is excellent. It's most commonly played in Pathfinder, Champion, or Deadeye builds (we covered FR PF this league & LS Champ in Affliction), and those are all great Ascendancies, but the potential feels completely unexplored by the community at large. It combined insanely well with Original Sin last league, before the nerf to Returning Projectiles Support, but there are still so many possibilities left undiscovered. There's very real potential to make a Juggernaut or Inquisitor build that works with it. Maybe a super-offensive Ascendancy like Assassin could build around Mahuxotl's and demolish the endgame with ease. Also, despite being a Trialmaster-exclusive drop, it's a bafflingly cheap unique, just a couple of Divines pretty much the entire league. It definitely seems like it could be a potential candidate to stay strong while other, more popular builds get nerfed or oversaturated by players and become financially challenging.

Nice one, i started playing toxic rain pathfinder and found your channel through my journey getting some ideas. After that i was going to my endgame build which was a mana stack mjölner hiero, now you doing this amazing build aswell :D. I like your approach ^^ i put quite a lot of currency into my, going 4 cluster setup with adorned and righteous providence(flame - flesh). It is crazy how you feel each upgrade, on top it has so many variations and stuff to min max. An absolut godly and fun build, hope it will survive till 3.25 XD. that ammy is sitting at 150d and 300div this morning hope i can find a cheaper one soon, grabbed one without the mana but lightning dmg and high attributes, this build is so damn fun, I hit a wall and realized I had like level 5 gear clearing level 40+ mobs lol switched that and its been dream clearing everything and blasting maps with ease, once i dial in my last piece of gear and talents this is going to be great. Question why take forethought over dreamer in the middle of the passive tree, why make skills cost more mana as opposed to less?
Forethought grants increased mana, which is the most important stat. Mana regen is much less important. All mana costs modifiers are completely steamrolled by Indigon, which increases your mana costs by hundreds to thousands of percentage points depending on how much mana you've spent recently. This makes mana cost passives throughout the tree and on gear actually have very little impact.
I am trying with lightning warp but the warps feel a little clunky or off. Is there a way to fix that? Maybe its my attack speed? Its hard to play with the warps like this. I have no Mageblood
im giga struggling in t17, i have all 85% maxres, 40% phys reduc 13k energy shield and i just... flop over constantly wtf, i have everything like the pob and even more... did i waste all my currency for some youtube build again?

B2B T17's can be pretty crazy, and super variable. Some map bosses are completely easy, zero effort, others are substantially more dangerous than uber bosses. They will definitely need to do more to standardize them in the coming league.
Stygian Vise is pretty normal, especially if you go with a % Increased Attributes Hunter mod. Headhunter's probably bad, since it will affect your attack speed and can throw off your proc rate, buuuuut it will give steal random defensive mods and may give you like 80k ES from time to time, so worth a try if you want to get wacky.
hunter stygian but if you need to, you can just get away a cyclopean coil. You can then just get the rest of the cdr on boot implicits or increased attack speed on mjolner.
I'm pretty new to PoE and always struggle to understand the prices on builds like this. Like, even "low cost" items are 1-3 Divines? I'm currently at Tier 8 Maps, and have all in all, made about 1.5 Divine. Is the jump in money made really THAT much bigger, that multiple divines is consideres cheap? Edit: Not to mention Mageblood. The cheapest one currently is 44 Divine. What in the hell? xD
@TheJanstyler in short yes, the currency you get incoming to you scales up a lot more. for instance you may right now be relying on raw chaos and divine drops and kinda just hoping for a good drop. but for people who have progressed their map atlas map, we can say go into essences farming along with 2 or 3 other things and instantly start making 10-20 divines per hour. you map for a few hours at that level, then sell the essences/harvest goo/or whatever, and you'll see that you can start spending a few divines per piece easily. even essences and harvest in yellow maps could be like 5-15 div an hour (scarabs and the atlas tree). cheers mate.
Since it relies on Indigon, you definitely need to league start as a different build and transition into it later on. Storm Brand Inquisitor (or Hierophant!) works well on a budget, and the transition into this can be pretty smooth.
In the game design sense? Make them open up passively, like Breach hands! In terms of how to do it? Just clear around them a bit, click and immediately start Cycloning.
@@PathofEvening Ive been taking 4 points getting a caster mastery to open them on cast. Its not perfect but I don't have to stop channelling. Also, FYI I learned you can use tainted catalyst even on the greatwolf. Its a bit of a gamble to get attributes and a high roll, but the extra X% seems like a huge boost.
Sadly, seems that someone has decided to manipulate the cost of the the Int/Mana Split Personality Jewels. They're all listed at 14 div/each by the same person (10+ listings)
Any chance for some corpse list for boots crafting? I have some corpses farmed but I just suck at gravecraft, have no idea how to use it efficiently :/
craft of exile website allows u to add corpse and simulate crafts. then u tweak scarcer/increased according to the mods that pop up in the simulations until u have a consistent generated result
Yup, that's it. Corpse crafting is never going to be 100%, so the best course of action is to just be prepared to make several attempts, and sell anything you craft that may be useful to someone else. Fracturing stats is always a good call.

The point at which you have are high enough level to equip all the gear that will give you enough Strength and Int to equip Mjolner is basically the point at which you want to make the swap. Somewhere in the 80-90 range, but your mileage may vary slightly based on your rare gear, jewels, and so on.
It's a min-maxed high-cost endgame build. You might as well show up at the Maserati dealership and complain that they're more expensive than Hondas. That is the point.

I want to make this build for a long time. I've had a very Lucky league got some div to spend, but I just can't stand leveling another character. Just too painful for me.

Played this build couple times . first time in Ancestor league(before archmage rework) ,second time Settlers(after archmage rework). What i do not like about this build - A) without forbidden jewels build totally sucks B) Without mageblood its also sucks - resistance/survive issue. 3) The good ring costs ~ 120 div(heist base). So the price of good build is around 500+ divines AND - this is not the most tanky build ,this is not the most DPS build either. I dont like builds which need mageblood for comfortable playstyle and without mageblood you will run out of resists or evasion/armor and die from time to time. Even clearing t17 are not 100% safe. Build which costs 200+ divs and not sure that can clear t17/ you have to roll t17 VERY carefull - are not the best one. Also not stable dps cause of indigon+arcane cloak+frost shield uptimes. For me typical archmage charge stacker are better then Mjolnir build With arcane cloak you have to use Enhance support - its important. Exist a lot of builds for much cheaper price with much better survive ability or dps and sometimes better in both. I said to my friend this league(this is my 4 or 5 archmage build from 3.1 abyss) : "If i will say again that i wanna play archmage-pls ,stop me"
You can probably do it at any point once you're able to equip all the uniques, but we waited until Level 90, just to make the passive skills work comfortably. Going from killing Kitava to level 90 only took an hour or two with Domination Shrine leveling, so not too much work.
It requires Indigon and Shaper's Touch to function, so not really. You can league start Storm Brand Inquisitor (or Hierophant), which works really well, and transition out of that into this pretty easily.
First days/week were harsh as a leaguestart for a slower player. Indigon popped up in price because of mana build this league. After I got the indigon (12D :-/ ), it only went forward and quickly became better and better. Was never more impressed with my "starter build" in the end.

yup replaced shield with prism guard for auras and belt with stygian and used it as a league starter - and if ill get enough currency ill get shield, belt and you are even stronger so transision to stronger version is doable

This guide is still helpful but theres been changes in 3.25. No more warcrys in this build. Also I recommend looking at conner’s 3.25 video for Mjolner Hierophant with POB’s in the description, as well as looking at poe.ninja builds sorted by Hierophant’s using Mjolners. Look at what people are using at different stages.

My previous build (DD of Chain Reaction) was almost immortal, but the damage sucked. This one just acts like a... spinning lawnmower! :) Thanks for the build and the video. you dont need a mageblood to run this and can even be ran on a 3 link with prism guardian instead of squire, but severly looses dps.
Mageblood..? I league started arma brand of recall hiero and then swapped to mjolner around lv 85 and was able to get through yellow maps. After leveling gems and tuning mana correctly you can blast t16's. You definitely don't need a mageblood.
@@quack3891 I haven't been able to experience this myself though I would like to. I mentioned in another comment that I didn't try very hard. Maybe next league I'll give it another try, it looks really fun and I'd like to experience it.
@@angelo2268 it's tough around yellow maps, but that's exclusively because you're swapping to a stack setup which only gets better after a certain limit over traditional builds. The build can't really start up easily, you'll need a little bit of gear to get it actually rolling unfortunately. For me I think I had roughly 8k mana with indigon and mjolner and ivory tower before I really got it rolling (which was like 15 div at startup).
I think I swapped over when I had ivory tower + mjolner + prism guardian and it's pretty tough without having good jewels and stuff on.
Conner's builds are always insanely strong.

I'm sending around to friends who might try it out, since I think this is an excellent intro to the whole big mana Ivory Tower archetype. EDIT: For other people coming here now, note that 3.25 will nerf Adorned, which will still be good at 100% (cap), but be expensive. Instead, try the old Split Personality method. It is still amazing, and was meta just a few leagues back, before The Adorned took over.

I checked the PoB, made a rare amulet which stacks a bunch of int that you can find for about 40 div in trade. Literally just having a 50c Eyes of the great wolf amulet with +30% attributes gives more stats. If anyone's looking to make this build but can't afford attributes/ mana amulet, it's probably more worth it to just get a 30%+ attributes great wolf and farm up currency to get attribute/ mana than to use a rare.

I just couldn't quite understand the attack speed part, maybe because of the language barrier, could you explain it to me a little more in the comments? Like, if the CD on mjolnir is 0.25, I have to make sure the Attack speed, let's say, is close to the values 3/3.25/3.5/3.75 and so on? Or is another thing?
You want the attack speed to be close to the cooldown, but slightly slower.
So if you can trigger 4 Mjolner on-hit procs per second (.25 sec cooldown), you want your attack speed to be as close as possible without going over. If it's exactly the same, that's ideal, but hard to get. If it's slightly slower, like 3.9 attacks per second (.256 sec per attack), then every attack will trigger a proc. If your attack speed is too high, say 4.1 attacks per second (.24 sec per attack), you will hit again before the cooldown has finished, and have to wait another for another .23 seconds to trigger another on-hit, which means you can lose a huge amount of damage.
looks dope, may give this a go. had been tweaking some cyclone captain lance builds that uses energy blade/cyclone, but more for mapping rather than his sanctum; this looks really solid.

You can get attack speed on jewels as well (up to 5% as a prefix, and 8% as a suffix, or vice-versa, I don't remember). If you're going wtih The Adorned setup, that means you can cap ASPD with 1 or 2 magic corrupt gems while getting some other decent mods like increased mana and increased elemental resistances or str/int.
That's true, and it is an option, but it will sacrifice a lot of potential power from Str/Int/Mana scaling via Adorned. It can absolutely work as a stop-gap, but for long-term optimization, you will want to pick up that AS elsewhere.

Been playing with this build since start. I love the transfigured arc one that does 50% more dmg per chain left. Obliterates all maven invitations especially if there's more than 1 boss.

There is no spell suppression, but is there any problem with durability for doing high difficulty content?
At the current state of gearing on this character, it's clearing Ubers and t17's without much difficulty, but it can't totally face-tank all boss hits.
At peak levels of gear, it can face-tank absolutely everything. Uber Maven Memory Game hits are nothing. That will require a serious level of investment, and probably a super-tanky weapon and shield combo on a weapon swap, but it is a possibility if you're willing to take it that far.

Hello sir, I've played a manabond build during TOTA league (3.22) in order to delve but I didn't really like it. Mana tattoos were crazy strong but non constant dps wasn't fun for me and delve was pretty boring too. You either destroy the content or get destroyed since your gear isn't strong enough. And the gear is REALLY expensive when you're talking about int and str stacking with forbidden jewels to do crit. The build with blight boot was also pretty slow too (150% base ms capped) during delve when I removed lightning warp.
But this league you are using archmage so it's another variant of a build with thor hammer and you have access to automation. It used to hurt my fingers having to press both left and right mouse button for a long duration so if you can automate arcane cloak, I can see the build be more enjoyable.
Also one thing it noticed during your mapping showcase with the citadel map (and verified with the passive tree): you are not using the ES mastery that makes your light radius based on your ES. Since you want to reserve all your life, if your light radius is based on your life, you won't be able to see past your feet and it's not really enjoyable. So I suggest you drop a point somewhere and get the mastery (or lvl up).
You may want to use your evasion scaling with you gloves with grace aura instead of wrath to get to 19k evasion. Not sure about that since you can't really run a jade flask or you would have to drop the amethyst or quicksilver flask.
If you have mana trouble with your leech not doing enough dmg to get back full mana after arcane cloak since you kill mobs with your cast while channeling in t16, you also may want to use the mana mastery that gives you 10% dmg recouped as mana.
You can use 40 Mana & 6% Damage Recouped as Mana as a crafted ring prefix if you're not using mirror-tier rings, too, and that also really helps with sustaining mana in longer fights.
I league started this build in Necropolis and at the end it was simply amazing to the point where I'm genuinely worried for next league to find the right starter build, that does not feel like a letdown :(
First build to push to 100 and it had everything I seach for - do "everything", speed, tankyness as well as damage sto the point bosses become trivial in the end.
I'm worried the build spoiled me for other builds. But i dont want to simply repeat the process with the next league
Kinda agreed. The Dual Strike Jugg that did 80M+ dps helped with transitioning out of this build, but it is pretty insane how strong/smooth it is.

It should still be doable. You'll want to start as some other Inquis or Heirophant build, maybe Storm Brand, then transition into this once you have the gear to get it started.

Hey, may I ask what the purpose of dread banner is on this build? Personally I replaced it with precision to cap out my accuracy to make CDR easier to balance. But if dread banner is really important, I might drop precision and balance my CDR in another way.
Dread Banner gives a modest bit of defense. You could probably argue that Defiance Banner is slightly better in this setup since we're not using Grace, so the Crit Reduction would be a little more consistent. It's definitely not essential. Swapping to War Banner or Precision for more Accuracy seem like pretty good optimizations!

Storm Brand Inquisitor (or Heirophant) start pretty strong, and they can transition into this build pretty smoothly.
I was considering playing a Forbidden Rite CoC Occultist, or variants like Ice Nova or Stormburst, but after the flask changes (mana cost and elemental resistances), the build, despite investment, seems to lag behind others.
So, I was thinking about CwC Soulrend, SS Trickster, and Archmage Mjolner. Soulrend involves a lot of flask management, which bothers me, and Trickster doesn't use Cyclone, which I really enjoy. Mjolner, on the other hand, requires Forbidden/Flesh jewels that cost around 600 Divine Orbs, making it a difficult choice.
Thanks to your video, I think I might go for Mjolner despite not having the Flame/Flesh jewels.
Excellent! You don't need Flesh/Flame to make this build work. They're good/fine, but basically competitive with Adorned, so really just a viable alternative rather than a requirement!
I just saw this build a few days ago and started working on it. I have most of the items as your build shows and am really enjoying it so far. I am a more casual player and don't know all the ins and outs of POB and other assist software, was having some issues with getting frozen and wonder how you are combating that? Thanks for the kind words! As for dealing with freeze, you have several options. You can use a crafted prefix on boots, you can just take Brine King, or you can use a Stormshroud unique jewel and then use a flask suffix or Essence-crafted boots to make yourself Shock Immune, which then makes you fully elemental ailment immune.

Yup, it absolutely should be good for 3.25 league start. Level it up as a Storm Brand Inquis or Hiero and then switch over to the Mjolner setup once you have enough gear to get it off the ground.

I've been league starting with this build (previously using manabond) for a few leagues now. The biggest hurdle early league definetely is the crit swap, the eldritch jewels cost is rather low early on but it skyrockets pretty fast.
This league I've reached the point where there is no more relevant upgrade, at 20k energy shield and mana, for around 110M dps, with something like 2 mirrors worth of gear. (without mageblood btw)
But now, with the exposure mana builds got this league, thanks to the archmage rework, I'm afraid I'll need a new op and cozy build for next league. Any suggestion ?
You clearly have a good level of game knowledge if you're operating a build like this at a multi-mirror budget, so rather than a full-fledged build idea, here's a suggestion to get started: Damage conversion. It's probably the single strongest defensive mechanic in the game. Because enemies cannot penetrate converted damage, it completely trivializes many of the toughest mechanics GGG has for making bosses and monsters dangerous. Face-tanking Uber Shaper balls, etc.
Mahuxotl's Machination is not the only piece to build around, but it is probably the strongest.
If you combine it with a Lethal Pride under Rakiata (for Tempered By War), you can convert 100% of your Cold and Lightning damage taken into Fire or Chaos (and 50% of your pre-Conversion Fire into Chaos). This makes defensive gearing extremely easy.
It also converts your Leech into Slayer Overleech, so as long as you have a source of Leech elsewhere in your build, the self-sustain is excellent. It's most commonly played in Pathfinder, Champion, or Deadeye builds (we covered FR PF this league & LS Champ in Affliction), and those are all great Ascendancies, but the potential feels completely unexplored by the community at large. It combined insanely well with Original Sin last league, before the nerf to Returning Projectiles Support, but there are still so many possibilities left undiscovered. There's very real potential to make a Juggernaut or Inquisitor build that works with it. Maybe a super-offensive Ascendancy like Assassin could build around Mahuxotl's and demolish the endgame with ease.
Also, despite being a Trialmaster-exclusive drop, it's a bafflingly cheap unique, just a couple of Divines pretty much the entire league. It definitely seems like it could be a potential candidate to stay strong while other, more popular builds get nerfed or oversaturated by players and become financially challenging.
I had a very solid experience playing CoC Ice Spear Inq but this seems quite a bit smoother saving this for next league barring any extreme changes.
100%. CoC Ice Spear is pretty fun, but Mana Stackers just push the potential scaling to a totally different level.
It's been a while since I did cyclone, perhaps I'll try a budget version of this next league and see how it goes.

that ammy is sitting at 150d and 300div this morning hope i can find a cheaper one soon, grabbed one without the mana but lightning dmg and high attributes, this build is so damn fun, I hit a wall and realized I had like level 5 gear clearing level 40+ mobs lol switched that and its been dream clearing everything and blasting maps with ease, once i dial in my last piece of gear and talents this is going to be great.
Question why take forethought over dreamer in the middle of the passive tree, why make skills cost more mana as opposed to less?
Forethought grants increased mana, which is the most important stat. Mana regen is much less important.
All mana costs modifiers are completely steamrolled by Indigon, which increases your mana costs by hundreds to thousands of percentage points depending on how much mana you've spent recently. This makes mana cost passives throughout the tree and on gear actually have very little impact.

It works, but you will want to make some changes to account for skills that were nerfed/redesigned like banners and warcries.

B2B T17's can be pretty crazy, and super variable. Some map bosses are completely easy, zero effort, others are substantially more dangerous than uber bosses. They will definitely need to do more to standardize them in the coming league.

What can i put in the belt space other than mage blood?
Stygian Vise is pretty normal, especially if you go with a % Increased Attributes Hunter mod. Headhunter's probably bad, since it will affect your attack speed and can throw off your proc rate, buuuuut it will give steal random defensive mods and may give you like 80k ES from time to time, so worth a try if you want to get wacky.
I am actually playing with headhunter until I save enough for mageblood. But only mapping at the moment but it's fun.
hunter stygian but if you need to, you can just get away a cyclopean coil. You can then just get the rest of the cdr on boot implicits or increased attack speed on mjolner.
I'm pretty new to PoE and always struggle to understand the prices on builds like this. Like, even "low cost" items are 1-3 Divines? I'm currently at Tier 8 Maps, and have all in all, made about 1.5 Divine. Is the jump in money made really THAT much bigger, that multiple divines is consideres cheap?
Edit: Not to mention Mageblood. The cheapest one currently is 44 Divine. What in the hell? xD
Yes, currency will become easier to make in higher maps.
@TheJanstyler in short yes, the currency you get incoming to you scales up a lot more. for instance you may right now be relying on raw chaos and divine drops and kinda just hoping for a good drop. but for people who have progressed their map atlas map, we can say go into essences farming along with 2 or 3 other things and instantly start making 10-20 divines per hour. you map for a few hours at that level, then sell the essences/harvest goo/or whatever, and you'll see that you can start spending a few divines per piece easily. even essences and harvest in yellow maps could be like 5-15 div an hour (scarabs and the atlas tree). cheers mate.

Since it relies on Indigon, you definitely need to league start as a different build and transition into it later on. Storm Brand Inquisitor (or Hierophant!) works well on a budget, and the transition into this can be pretty smooth.
I've league started this build for the last three leagues, just use a mindspiral for the first week until indigon comes down in price!

Ok, I have a huge favor to ask with my comment wielding power! My usual currency farm is strongboxes. How would you make them easier to open?
In the game design sense? Make them open up passively, like Breach hands!
In terms of how to do it? Just clear around them a bit, click and immediately start Cycloning.
@@PathofEvening Ive been taking 4 points getting a caster mastery to open them on cast. Its not perfect but I don't have to stop channelling.
Also, FYI I learned you can use tainted catalyst even on the greatwolf. Its a bit of a gamble to get attributes and a high roll, but the extra X% seems like a huge boost.
It's a gamble alright, but worth it once it finally pays off!
Sadly, seems that someone has decided to manipulate the cost of the the Int/Mana Split Personality Jewels. They're all listed at 14 div/each by the same person (10+ listings)

I don't really understand how the scale to over 10k energy shield happens...I have most of the build as done in the POB and I got to 4500 ES
It's a combination of Mana pool scaling, Clarity Watcher's Eye, and reserving all of your life pool with an Ivory Tower equipped.
Any chance for some corpse list for boots crafting? I have some corpses farmed but I just suck at gravecraft, have no idea how to use it efficiently :/
craft of exile website allows u to add corpse and simulate crafts. then u tweak scarcer/increased according to the mods that pop up in the simulations until u have a consistent generated result
Yup, that's it. Corpse crafting is never going to be 100%, so the best course of action is to just be prepared to make several attempts, and sell anything you craft that may be useful to someone else.
Fracturing stats is always a good call.

The point at which you have are high enough level to equip all the gear that will give you enough Strength and Int to equip Mjolner is basically the point at which you want to make the swap. Somewhere in the 80-90 range, but your mileage may vary slightly based on your rare gear, jewels, and so on.

It's a min-maxed high-cost endgame build. You might as well show up at the Maserati dealership and complain that they're more expensive than Hondas. That is the point.
Got this build running up now, pretty fun and decent tankiness but im not sure if i got my trigger rate on good lvl lol
Definitely worth checking the Calcs tab to make sure your trigger rate is right!
So since I had drop the banner i put Precision to fix hit chance. I also use Vitality instead of clarity for the extra energy shield regen.

I want to make this build for a long time. I've had a very Lucky league got some div to spend, but I just can't stand leveling another character. Just too painful for me.

I have a lvl 100 of every ascendancy. Twink lvl + breech and Dom scarb is ez mode. Lvl 100 in a day or two.
Pay someone a few divs to power you through campaign. Takes 1.5 - 2 hours
The Storm Brand setup was a real pleasure to level, and it transitioned into this build very smoothly!

Played this build couple times . first time in Ancestor league(before archmage rework) ,second time Settlers(after archmage rework). What i do not like about this build - A) without forbidden jewels build totally sucks B) Without mageblood its also sucks - resistance/survive issue. 3) The good ring costs ~ 120 div(heist base). So the price of good build is around 500+ divines AND - this is not the most tanky build ,this is not the most DPS build either. I dont like builds which need mageblood for comfortable playstyle and without mageblood you will run out of resists or evasion/armor and die from time to time. Even clearing t17 are not 100% safe. Build which costs 200+ divs and not sure that can clear t17/ you have to roll t17 VERY carefull - are not the best one. Also not stable dps cause of indigon+arcane cloak+frost shield uptimes. For me typical archmage charge stacker are better then Mjolnir build
With arcane cloak you have to use Enhance support - its important.
Exist a lot of builds for much cheaper price with much better survive ability or dps and sometimes better in both.
I said to my friend this league(this is my 4 or 5 archmage build from 3.1 abyss) : "If i will say again that i wanna play archmage-pls ,stop me"
Yup, this is very much a high-budget build.
When is the best time to transition from leveling?
You can probably do it at any point once you're able to equip all the uniques, but we waited until Level 90, just to make the passive skills work comfortably. Going from killing Kitava to level 90 only took an hour or two with Domination Shrine leveling, so not too much work.
How bad was this build hit by the 3.25 patchnotes?

Is this a viable league start build?
Like actually viable. Not "oh you can league start flicker technically"
It requires Indigon and Shaper's Touch to function, so not really. You can league start Storm Brand Inquisitor (or Hierophant), which works really well, and transition out of that into this pretty easily.

First days/week were harsh as a leaguestart for a slower player. Indigon popped up in price because of mana build this league. After I got the indigon (12D :-/ ), it only went forward and quickly became better and better. Was never more impressed with my "starter build" in the end.

Still a build, although there are some tweaks. Figuring out costs and crafting will be up to you, but yeah.

yup replaced shield with prism guard for auras and belt with stygian and used it as a league starter - and if ill get enough currency ill get shield, belt and you are even stronger so transision to stronger version is doable
@@MsDannyHappy this is my second league so still really new. i bought everything but the mage blood. im just not sure how hes getting resit cap at all. unless its coming form the flask being up at all times from the mageblood effect.

Llarold just farms a lot of maps, that's it. No real secret. He's a machine.

This guide is still helpful but theres been changes in 3.25. No more warcrys in this build. Also I recommend looking at conner’s 3.25 video for Mjolner Hierophant with POB’s in the description, as well as looking at poe.ninja builds sorted by Hierophant’s using Mjolners. Look at what people are using at different stages.
Did you set it to half bolts hitting and include mana spent by arcane cloak? Also you should check your proc rate.
Yup, there's good advice here. Config setup is essential for evaluating damage accurately in a mana-stacking build.

My previous build (DD of Chain Reaction) was almost immortal, but the damage sucked. This one just acts like a... spinning lawnmower! :)
