This was really entertaining I just want to ask for one thing. Can you give your opinion (from your personal experience) what has been working out the best for you. I mean the position what would you change, why does it feels better, and compare the before and the after and why? Not only with the bike but with the equipment in general. For example the wheels and the water bottles, helmet etc. I'll be cheering for you at the IM world championship!

Intéressant de te voir optimiser, j'aime le moment ou tu montes sur la balance avec le vélo, et j'imagine que le poids total, athlète + Vélo est bien l'essentiel, on reste nous les amateurs intéressés par le poid du vélo mais pas de l'ensemble, alors que j'imagine que l'important est bien la, surtout pour Nice et le D+. Bonne saison a toi

As a quick observation, aero shoes, rim brakes, 1x, more aero extensions, and aero crankset are the obvious places to obtain reduced drag. 4:27
Not aero shoes, but rather shoes with laces will give you an extra 3-4 Watts! You are welcome.

Géniale, la vidéo, mais pas que, tout ce qu'on rescent d'investissement, la complicité avec "Richard Dad" l'enorme plaisir qui transpire à travers chaque image, l'envie de tout faire péter le jour des prochaine courses, la superbe collaboration en marche avec Canyon. Good luck for the season Sam. Any idea where the forward leaning aerobar extension on your bike comes from? Guessing it’s custom but looking for something to extend the reach on my Speedmax too.

You were absolute beast on that Trek/HED combo in Kona so its kind of sad seeing you switch to Canyon but i know there must be some reason for you so good luck i am looking forward to seeing you on Canyon and doing well. Just a small resemblance with Lionel who also ripped Kona bike course on Garneau and never repeated that after switch to Canyon. If he broke his Garneu time on Canyon someone correct me i ll take that back :) Anyway best of luck in 2023 Sam, cool video, like & subscribe:)
Hi, thanks for your feedback! I tested both frames with exactly the same position and equipment, The Canyon was 4w faster. Then with some very small adjustments we found more gains.
It would mean the world to me if I get your oakleys, especially because I'm doing IM 70.3 in Nice this June. We also need your merch ;D
