@@cddavid1 You´re welcome! Indeed, Unholy was my first Blitzkrieg album and it started my love for the whole NWOBHM movement. The beginning of the first song with the snare rolls and the fast riff wich proceded to a more groovy second riff left me speechless. I wrote an article for our school newspaper about that very album and explained how great I thought (and think) it is but I think noone noticed :-)
@@endtyme it’s a great album, I was only in the band for about two years. We did this album and a few gigs. I had just started music tech and production at college when we were doing it and was fascinated by the whole process. Id done studio work before but I’d never understood it properly so this album and it’s recording process are great memories.
Playing it on a 5 string Overwater with my fingers rather than a pick came as shock to the band but as soon as we started tracking my approach was forgiven 😂

Vocals definitely need to have some more urgency. The way he sings holds the music back
I disagree, actually. I think his voice is one of the most unique in the metal community - he offers a more haunting effect in his vocals that in my opinion is very rare in the genre. It's not everybody's thing - but for my money it fits perfectly.
Utter nonsense. Brian is great here.
That's Brian Ross' best singing and I like his singing on every album
I like the vocal tone and he gets the point across without overdoing anything.
