- I took some time to film, whilst in Moulay, some tuning movies to help you all set up your kit so that you are more able to get the absolute best out if it. This movie reflects upon the suggestions of where to position your boom and harness lines and just how important the correct harness line length really is. I then go into some tips for your sail tuning and comment on outhaul trim.
These clips also appear on my jemhall.com website
Therefore please take the time to experiment on this and move your windsurfing forward.
Enjoy and thanks for watching ...
Thanks a lot Jem, we are waiting more videos by your signature teaching skills. Too few people have the stage stance that you have. Salutations from Republic of Turkey.

will this video still available after hard brexit?

Your English politicians are just like they are from the magazine Mad. No future plans, no vision at all, but those zombies just repeated BR exit BR exit BR exit. You normal Brits can't help it. Trade and good contacts will survive, why not? Europe sucks, but no European community sucks even more. We will let the poor countries drop dead, won't we? We prefer a selfish Europe. All countries must ignore they do need foreign markets. We should hate all the other countries. We are stupid. Shortsighted. That's why Brexit is possible. But again, you can't help it. Your politicians are to blame. If you don't like those power games (France vs Germany vs UK is classic), you could fight that stupid power game. Try diplomacy, try to emphasis our mutual interests. Those exist! Giving up on Europe is completely understandable, but still, it is too easy. Things will grow worse without the UK in Bruxelles! Don't you agree?
Now get your boom sorted. Who needs this boom video anyway? Off coarse you set your boom right. Or you will suffer.
Thanks a lot.
Is boom height related to how talk you are. Like im 6'1" and so shoild it parralell or lower or higher than my standing shoulder height.
What is the ideal "starting point" for boom height, ie., a good place to start from which you can adjust up or down for power or control? Does it make a difference if you are using a longboard or a shortboard?
tks
How does height of boom set relative to my own height roughly, compared to top of my shoulder as a reference
When waveriding your boom should be about your chest height, because you want to get low on a bottom turn. But if you want to freeride or do anything else you should put it more about at your shoulder height. Your height doesn't matter as a reference point.
Which hole to use on my naish boxer outhaul when i have two of them?
I am not super familiar with Naish but generally, top hole gives more power whilst bottom hole gives more control!
Let me guess. Too high is not okay. Try it. Too low is not okay either. Haha, don't even try it. Conclusion, the reight height is in between and it feels best.
Well of course too much of everything makes no good. When waveriding you should put it at your chest height to allow yourself to put the sail lower for a bottomturn. Freeride or freestyle probably higher around your shoulders so you can get planing more easily.
First of all: boom is a Dutch word. Boom means tree. Why do you nautical English folks keep using our Dutch words? Use your own words! Start calling your boom your tree. Why not? Never thought about that?
Should a person get an aluminium or carbon tree?
But the Dutch don't call it boom, they call it giek.
