- Palestinian Christian pastor Munther Isaac delivered a sermon on Christmas eve condemning those "complicit in Gaza genocide".
Isaac said that this year, Christ was "under the rubble" because of the bombings in Gaza, while Israeli forces persisted in conducting raids throughout the occupied West Bank, including in Jenin.
Christmas celebrations in Bethlehem, revered as the birthplace of Jesus, was cancelled as Israel continues to bombard Gaza for the third month.

It's what I kept saying in Nov when my country, which isn't even a Christian majority country, was all lit up with millions of lights and Christmas decorations and all the shopping malls were blasting merrily Christmas songs, I felt like screaming-what's wrong with these people!
I'm Christian and I felt like screaming too - it feels so dystopian!
Because they see Christmas as a mere annual culture in which there is mostly secular joy, while the true essence about Jesus's birth to one day redeem mankind's sin in the cross is put aside as second grade.

Tell me what to do, I just can pray, I feel guilty of having something to eat, I feel guilty of having a place to stay. I want to give my food to the innocent people in Gaza, but if you donate the supplies do not get across. Israel does not allow people get food or water. My god, they are being murd...red. My god, what can I do? Why God has forsaken Palestina? WHy? Why God has forsaken us, the non-privileged people? Only God listens to the ones with power and money? My heart, mind and prayers are with Innocent Gazans and the other oppressed Palestinians .
The Palestinians deserve the same compassion they showed to Israelis and Jews on October 7th and continue to show by keeping the hostages taken on October 7th. Indeed, the Palestinians have admitted that the USA was telling the truth that it was their decision to stop exchanging hostages for a continuation of the ceasefire and this week they again rejected returning hostages for a ceasefire. For 3 months the Palestinians have demonstrated they do not love their women or children but prefer to keep the hostages taken on October 7th . Israel does not have to prioritize the safety of the Palestinians more than its duty to create the best conditions for its own soldiers and so it should continue to level every space in Gaza in order to ensure that there is no place that the terrorists and militants can find shelter or cover. It is the Palestinians who can change their fate by agreeing to return every single hostage taken on October 7th in return for a ceasefire.
Almost every country by now has a pro Palestinian organization. Go on their website to see which NGOs they are recommending that people donate to. Also UNRWA is the biggest and has been working in Gaza the longest time. Go on their website and check them out.
It is beyond tragic. How can the world stand by and do nothing for Gaza ? Where is the humanity in the world today ? It makes me sick at heart !! Pray - pray - pray people and maybe GOD can show mercy to us all !!

As for actions that average citizens can do:
- If you live in the USA, you can contact your representatives in the senate and congress and ask them to call for a ceasefire. I don't know what the equivalent of this would be in other countries, but if possible, talking with any of the politicians about it could help.
- People with social media accounts can follow the accounts of Palestinian Journalists who are video taping what is happening, or post your own content calling for a ceasefire.
- This is probably the most important and difficult thing that we could all do: talk with the people in our community about what is happening. If you anyone who is close to you who doesn't know what is happening or who seems to not care, you could try to talk with them and convince them that it is wrong.
- If able, join protests and groups who are organizing. Try boycotting specific brands like Puma, HP, Disney, etc.

The Gaza - Israel war is indeed horrific and deeply shocking. As a follower of Jesus I am deeply grieved and also angry about all the bloodshed and the many innocent lives that are lost.
As I was praying for those who suffer the thought came to mind, “What would Jesus do? Or better: What did Jesus do?” Jesus, whose Hebrew name is Yeshua, was born in Bethlehem of Judea in Israel about 2000 years ago. At that time the nation of Israel was under Roman occupation. His mother’s name was Miriam, and His followers were named Yaakov and Shimon and Yehudah, among others.
And He was the Messiah (Christ in Greek) because He was hailed as the long-awaited Savior of the Jewish people (and thereby, the Savior of the whole world). He was born King of the Jews and died King of the Jews. And when He comes again, He is returning to Jerusalem.
Jesus wants his followers to learn from and apply the principles of what he did, in a situation that was not unlike the one experienced in Israel today. Here is a summary of the faith that keeps the hope alive for all Christians, in Palestine and everywhere else:
The eternal kingdom of God is where the story begins in Genesis, chapter 1 to 2, and where the story ends in Revelation chapter 21 to 22. It is where the relationship between God, humans and creation, and between humans and creation, is at peace, safe, sound, complete, right, just and good.
In between are currently the kingdoms of the world. These intruders are governed by belief systems, such as liberalism, socialism, communism, Islam, democracy, capitalism, colonialism, globalism and many more. All have common characteristics, like: broken relationships with God and one another, oppressors, oppressed, greed. They all have a beginning and will come to an end.

The punishment for such selfish behaviour that brings dishonour upon God and people is physical death and eternal separation from Him in hell. God requires justice but also offers to be the justifier because he loves us. Therefore, he took the sentence for sin upon himself in Jesus and died on the cross for it. There he paid the ultimate price that we all deserved, but could never have paid ourselves. Afterwards He rose again from the dead on the third day. On Christmas we celebrate the fact (not the exact date) that Jesus was born in Bethlehem. He lived a sinless life, was suffering with the people, performed many miracles and taught his followers to be just.
When it comes to the end time issue of the state of Israel, Christians have different opinions. Just like Islamic scholars who disagree on the nature and order of some events, Christian experts too differ regarding the end-time sequence and the meaning of Bible prophecy. Nevertheless, all Christians are called by the same Scriptures to treat everyone justly.
Here is a unique, sensational fact:
Jesus has revealed God as a loving, perfect, heavenly Father who suffers with his children. Even those of us whose earthly fathers were disappointing, know how a perfect father should be. In stark contrast, the Allah of Islam is known as a master, who deals with Muslims as his slaves. In that context, his mercy is uninvolved, unexpected and therefore to be understood as taking random pity. Suffering is beneath him and any other gods.
The Gospel announces the real king and the real kingdom. You and I are invited to pick sides and participate. Start by repenting and believing in the Jesus described here. Be prepared for suffering in your efforts to bring about justice. It is worth it. The best is yet to come!
