Props to Pat for asking Caitlin questions nobody else has asked (or at least different versions). As an Iowa alum and fan, I’ve gotten pretty bored of everyone asking the same five or so questions, but these guys got so many interesting comments out of Caitlin that I haven’t heard before. @@brentwagner88 I haven’t watched basketball since the Dream Team. I do watch MJ highlights. I’ve never ever seen a full game since 1992. Now I’ve even learned the rules and much of the terminology. Even went on to learn what box and one defence was. CC22 has me waiting until her games are over so I know the result before I watch. Don’t want to watch her and her team lose. And I’ve handled my son’s losses very stoically.

People talk about the struggle of the wnba. Remember the history of the aba and the nba? Nearly went bankrupt. It took some great stars to pull it up. The wnba needs some excitement in the play. Dunks especially.
Cable was huge for the NBA. Really came together for em as Bird - Magic era was beginning then as well. Had cable been around in ABA days, who knows? Perhaps Dr J, Ice Man Gervin, Gilmore would've gotten the recognition the league could've used to stay afloat.

Well, I stopped watching McAfee before he went to ESPN, when he did a show which was too WOKE for my taste. But, I have to admit, Pat brings great enthusiasm and excitement to sports coverage like nobody's business. I mean, he makes the traditional sportscasters seem like...I dunno...like an old uncle of yours, whereas Pat is like someone you hang out with. Great interview with Caitlin.

The decision to go pro vs staying one more year at Iowa was helped by the fact that the Fever had the first pick. And thus, she would be in the same city with her boyfriend. I would guess they will get engaged soon! I think had the Fever not had the 1st pick she might have stayed at Iowa for another year.
