you can still trade in gold when the web is gone.
Wow...over $2.4 million in fees for mining block 840000. Nice!! By comparison, the total fees for block 839999 were a little over 1 BTC, or about $67,000.
Without mining gold we wouldn't have bitcoin mining hardware so we need to mine gold, for now at least. But it is true that it's less good as a store of value than bitcoin.
What happened to the sick outro's?
Gold is Great and BTC is Great its much (better to have both) - 1 when the power is on and the other when its off.
If the miners are making twice as much money from the ordinals, does that add to the selling pressure on bitcoin? do they have to sell more of their bitcoin to cover expenses? Perhaps twice as much bitcoin as they did before.
Taxes will try to seize all properties including btc

Once the US decouples everyone from dollars, they will all need to fix their shipcoin currrencies or find real money to exchange. We know that no one can fix their currency and what else is left to represent money and exchange settlement besides BTC? The US is creating the situation where BTC comes out on top.

Somebody is grumpy! I also own both , but I think the point is extremely valid and bears repeating until the average man on the street stops believing BTC is boiling the oceans: btc uses less energy than gold mining, banking, and Christmas lights.
