- After years of putting up with an awful bus service I wrote a song of complaint! Please let people know about this to get the word out for us all to complain and get the bus service we deserve.

I literally watched this at a bus stop waiting for a first bus as well lol
the stupid amount of times i have been waiting over 2 hours for a bus that is meant to come every 10 minutes is pretty outrageous.
I remember watching this in 2020 because i used to be obsessed with buses
I have emailed both First and Stagecoach about late bus services within the past year and I get a fairly reassuring response from Stagecoach every time explaining reasons for the late arrival (including informing me that they have looked on the GPS location tracker) as well as refering my complaint to the depot management team to make changes and improve the service at the next service change date.
First on the other hand reply with a fairly general and bog standard response similar to the screenshot you show in your song around 1.20 minutes explaining that it is sometimes difficult to run to timetable due to issues out of their control and then informing me that my complaint is closed without even refering it to the depot management team.
So, I can totally believe the response email shown in this video song as I have had one very similar.

In the past drivers have given me wrong tickets, gone the wrong way etc - I could go on for ages. In most cases it was with - you've guessed it- first bus plus a few a few incidents with arriva
Great! I started an e-petiiton which has over 3,700 signatures and First is holding a review of their fares. However want to keep pressure up, spread the word via youtube and make sure they deliver!
When I rode on First Solent which is ALSO the same First division in this video it was a nightmare, the traffic was bad, the passengers were rude and I think I remember the bus struggling to start too. This was in 2019/2020.

Haven't got a bus with first bus for years but my local station is run by South western railway (a joint venture between first and mtr corporation) and my local service is awful.

Cracking video Ben. I would like to update you and everyone else about FirstBus themselves. If you are not already aware, FirstGroup have put their UK Bus Operation FirstBus up for sale. They are transferring operations to North America so with a bit of luck, whoever takes over the FirstBus routes in your area might improve.
In Manchester, Go Ahead have bought the Queens Road depot in Cheetham Hill and Rotala (Diamond Bus) have bought the Bolton Depot. The Oldham depot however has still not been sold and FirstGroup are still running the Oldham, Rochdale and Ashton services from it - there is however rumours of interest from Transdev who don't want to take over such as big depot/operation as Oldham Mumps so First are apparently cutting back the services to satisfy Transdev so the sale can be completed.
Apparently They Have Scrapped That Idea Due To The Growth Of Their Rail Department.
As a daily user of First Essex, I can say they spend more time raising the fares than they do making sure their buses come on time

I get on a bus which is every 20 mins. I want the 19:59 bus. I get on the bus at 20:50. Apparently the 19:59 went the wrong way!!! Ha, good excuse. The 20:19 was the bus I got on. For once, a driver admited. And again there is another bus which runs every 10 mins. I waited 1hour and 27 minutes exact for this bus. Very bad First bus, very bad. (Bristol)

The First bus drivers disliked and citizens, and other company bus drivers liked.
They keep putting single deckers on a route that always gets full, they do it for the sake of it here in Sheffield.
Then they give the emptyest routes the biggest buses they have
a few weeks ago I reported a first bus driver for dangerous driving and aggressive behaviour towards passengers. First apologised and said "because of the Nature of the complaint we have sent it straight to the depot manager" I haven't seen the bus driver since

In Wessex and Dorset they are always early and sometimes it says 10minutes on the screen and it appears after 2 minutes

Sorry the last change was confusing. It was a big change and we do recognise that it can take some time to get used to new things - especially when the change is so significant. Let us know if things still aren't working for you after the alterations take effect. Best thing to do is log things with customer service as that way they help us build a picture which we can look at when we're reviewing routes etc. Thanks Ben.
Still bad today!
I have a lot of complaints for first and other companies. Here are more reasons I don't like them
1 Some drivers are not polite
2 If they're late, some drive slower than usual on purpose
3 Hardly any new busses have air conditioning for COMFORT
4 Mostly in winter, their bus exteriors are filthy
First always go, "Oh, new busses is about the future of comfort and extra seats". WTF, X30 Aircoach withdrawn coaches and replaced them with single deckers and now there's about 20 seats. What about air con for hot days. I mean, I like this video but would be better if it was sang like the LU song to show that you really hate busses for some reasons.

first bus in bradford is crap. just abolished alot vital bus services.always late and mostimes dont turn up. weve just visited Newcastle and has far more efficient bus services reliable. bout time first packed their bags went.tlc run better service!
First bus is more reliable at my place but Yorkshire Tiger is actually the worst operator buses don't show up and most of them run hourly so maybe you have to wait 2 hours or maybe free for the next bus. D:
My local service 114 operated by FirstGroup. It is a circular route which involves hill climbing with the worst buses ever. A B7TL Plaxton President up a 30% steep hill? It won't make it. So, that's how FirstGroup South Yorkshire make the worst routes and delays up to 20 minutes.
At least you do not get streetlites...

Did I actually read a comment that says First is 'awesome'????? Get real or get your head examined, please!!! I had the misfortune of working for this shower of shit for two years. What an outfit. Total lack of organisation, hellish vehicles and, in some areas, a literally non - existent and appalling service usually serviced by almost life - expired vehicles. Total disgrace. I returned to coach and lorry driving.......tried the bus thing and believe me........First are the Worst!!!!!

i just changed my name We have a lot of StreetDecks and Streetshites in Leicester and I still get a good experience with First there, slightly better than Arriva.
At least there not as bad as ulsterbus they are nearly 1 hour late

First bus are a girly company and awfully run
Yorkshire transport fan and more Arriva Midlands Wigston seem to have a tradition called Friday Afternoon Picnic which throws organisation out the window, particularly on the two routes I’m trying to use, the 84 and 85. Last Friday, it took me almost an hour to get from Countesthorpe to Whetstone, which as a distance of a mile-and-a-half.
