Hockey Stick Length: how Long should your Stick be?

There was a time, when it was cold here in Germany, and I had a backyard rink on which I practiced and shot videos every day. Well, this winter my backyard resembles a swimming pool, but there's one video from that cold winter which I've never released, until now! The proper hockey stick length: how long should your stick be? And is there an exact, correct stick length, or is every hockey player a bit different?

OnkelVini das ist wirklich Geschmackssache. Für 100€ solltest du einen ordentlichen Carbonschläger für Anfänger bekommen, egal welche Marke.

Why didn’t you just do the arms straight at the side move your hand closer or further away from the heel or blade of the stick til your blade is flat on the ice test? … you were close to expressing that with your too long and too short examples but just didn’t outright say it. For me it turns out that in order for me to have a blade flat on the ice in my proper hockey stance my stick is only around 60” long. Which is up to around mid chest with skates on. All people are built differently. I assume mine is like this cuz of my super long arms. Proper length stick has done wonders for my game.

Because I don’t have my arms straight at my sides when I’m in my hocket stance. They are slightly bent.
Yeah I’m about a 61” stick.

Yeah that’s what I said. Most NHLers can rest their chin on the knob of their sticks
