這是我最喜愛的歌曲之一，完完全全營造出地球毀滅末日的氣氛，大氣磅礡，隔著螢幕的震撼力已足以抓著每個人的神經，更何況是現場的懾人威力是何等驚人，相信在他2019海口演唱會現場可真正感受到。
很敬佩他獨特而帶有使命感的音樂理念，將音樂帶至另一層面高峯，打破純粹抒情娛樂的舊有框框，重新改寫了音樂的可能性與定義，無邊無界的創意於他的音樂湧現，締造出音樂藝術之絕美境界。
期待下一首的“降臨”，完整顯現這系列史詩式的創作。
谢谢你们反应这首歌！我认为这是华晨宇最有艺术性的作品之一，整首歌像一部大制作电影，像海啸一样汹涌磅礴，充满画面感。花花说神树和降临一定要一起听，循环听，因为它们是阴阳双生曲，一个是世界末日，一个是万物重生。就像阴阳太极图，前者在毁灭的同时孕育着希望，后者在生命的降临中潜藏黑暗。既包含了环保的主题，但又不止于此，是很有哲理深度和艺术风格的作品。顺便，歌曲里面的背景和声是华晨宇亲自设计和录制的，下一首降临也是，所有的和声都是他自己变换各种音色唱出来的，太了不起了！

海口那場我剛好在現場，上完廁所來不及回位置，低聲單音鋼琴持續蕩漾在整個體育館，我自己是非常喜歡，壓抑又澎湃

推荐2019海口演唱会的版本。因为体育场的空间非常大，这首歌的效果才真的体现出来了，虽然收音没有歌手版的清楚，但是声效和感觉更棒！

I prefer the concert version of "God tree", the whole stage was like a giant tree in that spacious stadium, Hua stood high above (the middle part of the tree), looking down and singing. I bet you would love that performance, too.

Enjoyed all of your reactions and comments of Hua’s performances. You give great perspectives and creative ideas on where he could perform his songs. Yes many of his songs are made for big and or special events and he is bold enough to showcase his creations on a competition shows. It’s his chance to show how one can compose music in a unconventional ways and to learn from other great artists. Less concerned about the outcome.
Always so excited to see your interpretation of Hua's art! You guys have really good points to discuss. I loved when you said he should perform this on a cliff, he actually went in Ireland last year and I believe he said he got inspired for "God Tree" there.

When I first heard 华晨宇 sing this song, it really scared me. Extremely dark, extremely heavy and foreboding. Very disturbing images. Yes, images of the 2004 catastrophic tsunami came to mind.
The feeling of being surrounded and being crashed and being cold! Bone-chilling......
华晨宇 was at another level when he sang this song at the Singer 2020. But strangely he came in 5th?! 🤷♀️

Great insight and observation lads👍👍 thanks for checking out “God Tree/Sacred Tree”. He has this innate ability to just emote vocally without moving much and his body of work since his first album has been bold, progressive and provocative in the face of Chinese mainstream audience. You have reacted to “Seven Personalities” right? He performed that to end his Singer 2020 journey 😆. That’s how bold he is in terms of music and art.
Hua Hua was very much influenced by British rock bands like Muse, Radiohead and Queen. Can you believe that he performed Muse’s “Knights of Cydonia” in his first concert in 2014, after winning Superboy 2013? That time he hasn’t yet released his debut album. The confidence Hua Hua has in terms of music is very appealing.

It’s very possible the lyrics were changed because of censorship, the names of his songs Madhouse and 7 P were both changed because of censorship in Singer.
I really hope you react to Arrival next as it’s so totally different, I really liked the Singer version. Hua composed Arrival in 2018 I think, anyway long before he composed Sacred Tree although he designed Arrival as a sequel of Sacred Tree.
Sacred Tree is about tsunami, reckless destruction of earth by humans, Arrival is about rebirth of everything after destruction. 3rd song is New World.

Love the cave idea. I could see him performing in an Indigenous canyon like on the Navajo reservation. Maybe somewhere on sacred grounds, of course tribal approved. Is there somewhere in China like this? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antelope_Canyon OR maybe at the biggest wonders of the world. I could also see him performing in destroyed by humans places. He is magical and could bring so much attention to the destruction of the earth even more by doing this. Risky I know, just a thought, probably not possible as all countries hide these areas.

They're referring to the Chinese lyrics on Singer 2020. The English translations are pretty accurate
Yes, there are some lyrics, what he sang is not same with the lyrics shown on the screen, maybe the lyrics are sensitive? So It was changed by the show.
Such as: 1"45"-1"48": The lyrics on the screen are 无疑心愿（undoubtedly wish）
The correct lyrics sung by Hua Chenyu is "无一幸免" (no one survived)
2'38": The lyrics on the screen are “孩童被问”（childen being asked）
Hua Chenyu sings "孩童被困” (children being trapped)
The meaning of the lyrics are totally different.

@@ThreeMusketeersReaction like you said maybe due to sensitive lyrics. HuaHua likes to sing according to his feelings, same song with many versions. Another thing is he admitted sometime he do forget the lyrics😅 so just sing what feels like right 😆. Mandarin speaking Martians always teased him during his concerts.
