Thank you so much for sharing this. 🙏 I always seem to 'round-out' the edges of my gravers with the GRS Diamond wheel, when trying to sharpen/re-sharpen them by hand. Also, thanks for the tip of placing a wooden disc under the Ceragloss polishing wheel to keep it flat and stop it flexing. Now to find all those dull/broken old burs and practice!

I purchased a machine but its not easy to calibrate. Perhaps time and practice lol So please if you don't mind what equipment do you use?

I need to replace the wooden disc with a metal one with the same or similar diameter as the yellow disc. It will work better that way.

No need for heat treatment (quenching) after filing the tool ?
What is the use of the curve under the blade?
Not for this one.
It works better this way.

Now re-temper it since your grinding heated enoughthat it's no loner tempered in the area.
This one not hot at all.
If he had accidently heated it too much it would've just curled up on him on the first go. Talking from experience since I've done that myself lmao
