Hi Rick. Silly question, yet world wide web search (and contacting avantek) to no avail. My intention is to use the wireless version device as a chime for when a control stick is activated (on an open top car would you believe). The ambiant noise is a problem in that car and the sun blocks out lamp indications. Modern cars don't use relays either, just a weak loudspeaker somewhere near the steering column. So no luck to tap into that. Nor is it practical to tap into the wiring harness of the car with buzzers of doubtful volume. So, the idea is to use one of these. The lever would lean on the "button" and so be occasionally "pressed" for up to twenty seconds (like a child might do while waiting for the door to open). What does the Avantek do? One chime only or repeating? or repeating with some pauses? If this works, I'll be hardwiring it in (the battery version receiver is 5V). [Sort of thing that could serve for occasionally open/closed doors and so forth, depending on which way someone wants it to alarm]. Cheers; Matthew. Sorry to write here; I'm not on any social media.
Can this also be used with another receiver as someone stole the transmitter off the wall. I buy this one but I had already have 2 receiver in the house so would want to use all 3 receivers with the 1 transmitter.
Does this light up at night? My Grandparents just got it but you can’t see it at night outside
Unfortunately it doesn't since the button is battery powered. If it was backlit, it would run the battery down quickly.
