HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US. We have been at Moorparks for 5 years from July 15th 2020.
We moved from Reading in 2015 loaded up with our furniture and Napoleon the cat. Napoleon was the closest we had been to having livestock!.
This clip shows how the cottages were when the LAST owner bought Moorparks. It is they that converted the run down barns you see into holiday cottages.
When we bought Moorparks Holiday Cottages the property had been empty for over a year as the new owners had moved to their new house.
The cottages needed some work before we were happy to rent them out again., We replaced the floors with solid oak, bathrooms were redesigned and replaced with walls moved. Broken tiled flooring needed taking up along with the damaged floorboards beneath. Full decoration throughout and then new furniture to go in.
The outside needed work too, after all it had been empty for a long time and everything seems to grow so quickly.

We very quickly realised that mowing grass is great on a ride on lawnmower for othe first few times and then the novelty fades....quickly. The had the first paddock fenced and bought three sheep, then three alpacas...then more sheep and chickens and alpacas and chickens and ducks etc.
We welcomed holiday guests to Moorparks Holiday Cottages in March 2016 and then the cottages were marketed with an agent.
