Having watched season 1 and 2 a million times, I would 100% say the manga is worth reading, especially considering season 2. The OPM manga is not only great because of the story of course, but it also has some of the best looking manga art of all time. I never read manga before either, but waiting for season 3 made me read it all, and like I said it is great and arguably better than the anime imo

So I couldn't resist and watched the manga for the first time in my life and it was insane
it's nice I watched the manga 200% worth it 🔥 like manga is +3 seasons ahead of anime and with opm sechulde it will take 12+ years 💀 to catchup

Yeah the manga is a plain 10/10 read and its really easy to get into, the art is at the absolute top level and overall it is sooooo easy to read it feels kinda addicting. I think season 1 is a really good substitute to the manga and even enhances the experience by a lot (voice, music, animation just the package of an anime adaption) while season 2 loses out on A LOT of the source material so if you would like to start reading the manga I think starting at the end of season 1 is fine aswell and you can always go back to read what season 1 covered.
Facts. S2 doesn't entirely carry the sense of scale from the manga.

While you’re waiting for Season 3 to come out I’d highly recommend watching Mob Psycho 100. It’s written by the same guy and the animation is fantastic.
I'm now happy when they got to see the utter magnificence of puri puri prisoner in that part of the episode. It always cracks me up.😂

I’m a diehard anime > manga with most series, but the OPM manga is just incredible. It honestly feels more animated than season 2 at times. The artwork is insane.
The manga now is starting to reach top tier power scaling, even above that.
The series is so good with its power progression and scaling.
The manga for One punch man is stellar. Absolutely stellar
season 3 has a trailer out, should be late this year!
no release date, it was just a PV Announcing that they just started animating it this year. the earliest its gonna come out is middle of 2025, if its 12 eps, i hope they do 24 eps so they can keep the hype rolling from start to finish

@@sliferskydragon9798 S3 was announced 2 years ago, when JC-staff had 15 animes they had to animate. and the PV showed us the fight that would take place in the 2nd episode that is animated by their best animator Aoki just for the sake of promotion, that fight will animated differently in the actual anime.

it wasn’t “budget” per-se was time constraints. the team only had around 6 months to fully complete this season. thankfully they have had a lot more time for season 3

I hate reading books but I love reading manga!!!! I’d highly recommend reading the manga!! Its just like watching the show, the story flows so well that it’s like your watching a movie or something which is probably why i like reading manga more then reading books. I even enjoy it more than reading comics, which I used to enjoy greatly…till the stories started being stupid!!! Like what they did to the punisher…I’ll never forgive them for that!!! The one punch man manga panels are insane and it probably does take forever to draw & adapt it!! I feel extremely bad for the ppl who has to do the next part of the story!!! Cuz it’s the craziest part of the story with all kinds of scenes full of destruction & monsters & hero’s fighting! It’s crazy!! I can’t wait to see it!!
Something you have to understand about animation across the board is that they all use still shots, they all recycle shots. There are people, with lives, and families to return home to. These animators already sleep at their desks. If there is just talking, we don't have to watch them talk, its cheaper and easier to have two characters talking but never show their mouth. Its just tools of the trade and you should take that into consideration before saying the animation quality is bad. Its not lol.
if you like one punch you will definitely like JOJO's. it's a top tier show and definitely up there with seinen shows like vinland saga.
nah, there’s a lot different between opm and jojos. liking one doesn’t equate to liking the other.
and from a creator standpoint it just pulls way less views

9:11 Yeah this was season two's biggest criticism by the fans. You can't cut the action in an action anime. Even when it's on screen, sometimes they just show the after effects of Saitama's punch rather than the punch itself :/

About the beginning debate, I do not watch OPM for a deep story, it's story is fine at best, because it aims so be a parody of most concepts.
It's really not that serious, it has some meaningful moments, but that's it. The deepest thing about OPM is the emptiness Saitama feels as the strongest.
So what I'm saying is, even if season 2 had season 1s animation, I'd still prefer season 1 because of Boros alone.
Boros vs Saitama is such a beautiful fight. I just LOVE it visually so much. And season 2s grander plot hasn't gotten anything like that yet, maybe season 3 will, depending on the pacing, but OPM never had pacing problems so I believe season 3 will get to the JUICY stuff, and if that got animated as well as Boros vs Saitama, then yes, it would be the better season.
But because OPM is not that much about a deep, interesting plot, I value sheer wow factor much more than I do in other series.
Like, if JJK didn't have such good fight animations it would still be a PHENOMENAL plot. If OPM didn't look so good, it would be an average comedy anime.
So I value the visualy of OPM as the most important thing in the anime.
That being said, I think people cry too much about season 2.
It's the same propblem as Avatar the last Airbender vs Korra. Korra is a good series, it has it's problems but is overall pretty good.
But it is VASTLY overshadowed and obviously constantly compared to the first series.
OPM has the same issue. Season 2 looks totally fine, but season 1 overshadows it and makes it look worse than it is in the minds of people.
