In this video, I’ll show you everything you need to know to get started with DaVinci Resolve.
There is a paid version of DaVinci Resolve called Studio that gives you professional options, but we’ll focus on the free one for this video.
Here is the 10 step process for creating a video with DaVinci Resolve.
Step 1: Create a project
Step 2: Importing Media
You may want to get an external hard drive to organize everything and not take up all the space on your computer.
Step 3: Basic Editing
Adding clips to timeline, re-ordering clips, split clips.
Step 4: Adding B-Roll
Step 5: Transitions
Step 6: Adding Text
Step 7: Working with photos
Step 8: Adding music
Step 9: Colors and filters
Step 10: Exporting - Jak na to + styl

Do you know how to crop a video? like ik that it is the square to the left but it wont actually let me lock in the crop
, or at least I can't figure out how to.

Great video and loved the way you taught through every step. I just started using Davinci resolve and now i am facing a problem of not being able to import audio files, can you help me with this
You make it look so easy! I'm just starting out but can't import my video with sound in to DaVinci Resolve. It imports the video without sound. I'm using VLC Media player and converted my MP4 to Video - H.264 + MP3 (MP4). I've also tried importing them separately, so converted the file as a Audio - MP3 also. So now I have both in Resolve, but battling to link them again. Is there a easier way? I can't see myself battling with this weekly.

Is there a maximum file size you wouldnt go beyond, when Importing video files to edit. Say for example you have 12hours of footage to sift through, totalling 32GB over 12 clips. Would that be something the software could'nt handle?
Hi i cannot shift a clip to the point like where you inserted at the end point. why is that? ok i got it i have not switched on the red point button
