Oh wow, CZcams suggested this video after I had watched the most recent one with her. What a learning curve! This house is already amazing but the house she has built now is just perfection and pure inspiration. What an amazing lady. ♥️
Can you give me a reference to that video please?
@@jennyc1846Shaye's tiny house
They had me at "rescued chickens". Thank you for giving the battery hens an opportunity to live their intended lives!
Coming back here after I watched shey’s tiny house.. She’s incredible❤️. P.s. Thank you everyone for the likes..😊😘
Same!
Me too. :)
@Michelle Lopez - Yet, none of you bothered to provide a link regarding the video you are discussing. Not cool.
@@theway5563 search shey’s tiny house.. you’ll find it..
All you had to do was go to the most recent🤭🤗🙏
Down to earth lovely couple. Happy to discuss the husbands toilet habits. No pretentiousness there. Thanks for revisiting Bryce.
ya nice and genuine .............lively couple
Agreed, so many say 'it's fine' but that's it. Plus this is the first vid I've seen that lifts the lid. Quite a shock. I don't know what I was expecting, but that wasn't it.
5 years later I want to say add teaspoon sugar to your chick peas and it will reduce the gassy effects. If you use canned chick peas rinse rinse rinse to cut down on the matter that causes gas so you’re not bring gaseous clay in the loft. 😛
Am I only the only one just melting away with the baby's cuteness 🥰 and lady's beauty
Anyone back here from the new video? 🤚
Yes, and sad that they are no longer together, what happen to them
Yes...n I can see how strong and independent she has become!
Her new house and the small little girl are cute..❤
@@amnesalemmbarak7305 curious as well...praying mantis syndrome? LOL my bad !
Laura Murden Hi do you have a link to the new video? Thanks
👍
The baby was talking about her experience in the tiny house.

Probably trying to say,; "from a tiny house to another tiny house"
Sophia A. The
The baby was saying "I'm hungry" or "I want a snack." lol. You can tell by her putting her hand and such to her mouth coupled with her insistence.
dang look at the baby's eyes.. so blue. just like her dad.
watching Shaye swaying with the baby totally brought back memories from when my own children were babies... i often caught myself unconsciously swaying even when i wasn't holding them hahaha that becomes such a natural, ingrained movement for moms of babies... so sweet! love this house, too! definitely has a cute cottage-y feel. the large window in the kitchen is beautiful!
I must admit it annoyed me after a while, I have trouble focusing on her face!
I couldn't stop staring at the baby the whole time, she's so cute omg! But yeah, that's a splendid house!
Catherine great tiny house and small family.
Catherine Adorable house but in love with that little sweetie pie Hazel ! My babies are nearly 22 and 13... sad😣💗👭
Good Lord, that woman has a fine husband, a cute baby, and a gorgeous house... I love her life. LOL You go, girl!
and she's also beautiful!
@Andy Orbet who hurt you?
She looks like a flirt!!!! I hope I m.wrong.. I m not usually wrong though! One more thing it's important to guard that baby not to fall from the top.
@Andy Orbet
Hope you're having a better day today. Mr. Cranky was showing himself when you first commented here.
They've broken up and the girl has a new home now.
Does that child ever cry? She's so happy!! That usually doesn't happen for such extended periods--she was just gurgling and joining in the conversation!! What a lovely family, and what a beautiful home--I wish them nothing but the best--but they already have that!!
It's the environment
what a cute little girl Hazel is, love how she is trying to join in the conversation...the worm farm is brilliant, the garden is wonderful and the young couple are such a beautiful family I totally know why you keep going back there...would love to see another episode on them as Hazel learns to walk and how their tiny house works with a toddler...thanx for all your shows, wonderful to watch and so many brilliant new ideas...have a blissful day :)
+Zephyr Starsand aren't they moving to the cabin though? this is what im trying to grasp. I don't want to imagine her falling down those stairs...
yes, I think they did move...don't remember which video it is on :)
***** that was the point of the question asked...to show us how they made those adaptations.
lol folks not to worry! large homes were not the norm when I was growing up! large families and small homes Was the norm!!! Boys room and Girls room!!!!! mom and dad had the smallest room or their bed was in living room!! That was the norm!!! This little lady will grow up being taught and guided in her world and as all little ones that have never known any different learns the same way as any child in the McMansions!!! in my opinion its more attention and less dangerous then too much space!
try 11 in a 14 x 20 with two bedrooms upstairs ;)...no mcmansions here...extra space looks like extra cleaning to me ...country kids just play outside ....never had any trouble with the stairs except the day the kids brought the nanny goat in and tried to get her upstairs ;P
This is by far my favorite tiny house couple..Many blessings to this family and thank you for letting the world see the beauty of off the grid living.. 😊 💕
😆😘☃️🇨🇦
I think they're still on the grid
I agree! This is definitely my favourite of favourites! Its totally cute but still really spacious, well planned out plus, the cottage decor is just as sweet as you could get!
And, that worm farm idea is brilliant!!!
Also, that garden is so amazingly beautiful!!!! I Love Love Love it 💖💖💖
Stella Bella it is a nice house but where is the baby gonna go when she gets bigger
@@noahsduck4109 noahsduck 4, Pretty much wherever she wants, before they catch up with her!👪
here after seeing her latest build and lucy, this woman come so far and its lovely to see baby grown so much xx
So cozy. And with a new baby it almost creates an extended cradle throughout the home. The bedroom with the babys "nest" is so perfect!
Isn't this interesting that they've reduced their indoor living area, yet possessing sooo much outdoor space--7.5 acres?! Not all tiny houses are, but this couple's is simply a different lifestyle in my opinion ... their choice of making a tiny house is not because of a limitation in space but their wanting to live a closer-to-nature lifestyle.
I'm working on a small house on 9 acres. I have cleared as little area as possible. It's my way to reduce my footprints and conserve natural habitats.
Living the good life right there. I need to get out and put my condo up for rent. Then build a tiny house in my elderly parents back yard so I can care for them a bit easier.
mistermatsuda ... a nice result for everyone. Go for it!
I think I would get clostrophobic. Especially sleeping in a loft upstairs....no way! But they are cute

Hi
Your baby seems happy and content. You seem like a very happy couple, I wish you the best in life.
just watched her new house and looks amazing. Now she was separated with Tom and living alone with her daugther Hazel. So sad but life goes on. Thanks Bryce.
I love the simple living trend. Your little house and your family are so wonderful. I'd certainly love to live in a house like that....now. I say now, because I lived in tiny "homes" as a kid. Trailers and really tiny houses. One of the trailers was a homemade trailer that looked much like yours, but not as colorful. There were 6 of us...one, a new baby. It wasn't so much fun then, when times were tough, but I love them now. We even lived in a railroad boxcar which was set up on a private property. Wish I had it now. Your little Hazel is lucky to be raised by such aware, loving parents, with a garden, chickens, etc. This is the way kids should grow up; not with dozens of brightly colored plastic toys. Thank you so much for posting this video.
This space is WONDERFUL!!! I love love love all the windows on the one side and the double door as an entrance!! I can't say enough about this home. My husband, who has no desire to live this way, may see the light after watching this video!! Awesome job!!!!
Their use of windows, including the bank of windows in the kitchen, along with the roomy lounge makes this one of the most inviting tiny houses I've seen!
Its so sweet to see Hazel as a baby. Now 5 in a the recent video. Precious.
Gosh home sweet home they've really made it comfy.
***** Yup, they sure have! The whole space really has such a great feeling.
This must be my most favourite tiny house video yet, and what a lovely couple! 👫🌸 saving chickens, growing veggies, raising a lovely little baby! They look like they have it all in a loving, spiritual, non materialistic way. ✨
These people know what life is about. It's not about stuff. You can't take stuff with you when you die, but you can live life and be happy now while we are here.
I love people like this.
the family, the house, the baby, the chickens, the garden it's all PERFECTION!!! God bless you and your family.
I have been watching tiny house video's for several months now ! This particular house and family , are definitely my favorite ! really cool house and even better people !
Rasa - really appreciate your camera skills in all these videos. Lovely home and family. Thanks Bryce.
They're not part of the tiny house exactly, but soooo glad you squeezed in the story of the chickens. Beauty story helping them recover and "learn to be chickens," and enjoy *their* new, thoughtful and creative home as well!
Of all the TH I've seen this too is my favorite. I'd be very interested in their small cottage; what the transition is like and how they compare the pros and cons between the two once they've lived there a bit.
O
Such a lovely couple: pleasant, optimistic, extremely capable and adaptive. Surely their successful transition to tiny house living is a result of all that....but their story is very impressive and inspiring. Best of luck to this charming and innovative family.
I loved it the first time I saw it but I love it even more now... it's such an inspiration! I'm still in the design phase but am soon to finalize it because building starts in a month! So now that I've been reminded of their layout, I've got some new ideas. I'm digging the worm bin with the tube just below the kitchen window...brilliant! Their ceiling paneling is stunning - it's amazing how just one detail can pull the whole look together. Love it!
I really enjoyed watching both videos back to back. I have to agree with most of you, this is a great tiny house. The layout of the space, materials use were great choices. One of my favorite things are the double glass French doors and how they open out onto their covered deck, then the amazing garden and outdoors are just right there!! They have done a wonderful job designing the house and how it fits into the land. An awesome family and an awesome tiny house!!! God bless!
Love the name Hazel! Tom and Shaye have built a lovely home together!
Their little girl is going to have a beautiful childhood living there!
Yes! I look at these homes and think Little House on the Prairie
I am starting my small home this year
KLee Palmer Yes she is!
I was wondering why 4 cups??!! then I was like Ahh the Cameraman !! lol
No one ever thinks of that!
Camera-girl😊
😁😁😁😁
The cameraman is Bryce's wife
@@michaelgerald5628 Why would you tell me that that gorgeous hunk of a man is married? :D
I love this! You can tell that they have built their home exactly the way they needed to! A lot of people are commenting about how they will handle a toddler in the space - but when you watch the whole video, you can tell that both of them are very responsible and capable people (and parents) and so however they end up handling that, I'm sure they will do great! I loved the chickens - that is so great they were able to rescue them! I've seen a few chicken set ups - and that is probably the best I've seen! They provide quite a bit of space for them and that's wonderful. The one question I have is whether they have a blog? If so - it would be really nice if that was included in the description. It seemed like Shaye may have had a blog pulled up but I couldn't be sure if it was hers or someone elses.
I saw that, too, and it was theirs: it's at diyhousebuilding dot com/
mctcurious Thanks! I'll check it out. I wish they had put that info in their description box - I appreciate when videos give credit to those they are talking about/interviewing, etc.
Jessica Showalter It is in the description box. If you follow the more info link their website and a link to their plans are listed there.
Living Big In A Tiny House Ahhh, illusively placed in that instance. Thank you for your response, and pointing out that there is a direct link on your website. I have nothing against those who claim their material (obviously the video and the review/overview you link to, are owned by you/your website exclusively). However, when a video such as this (or article - though your article obviously credits them better than the video here) is posted, whereby the information given is through an outside source (Shaye and Tom), it is both considerate and appreciated when there are direct links to that source (if they are available, in this case, they are). Especially when it comes to smaller websites/companies.
It's not a huge deal, and I am not trying to nit pick (though I suppose I'm doing a good job of it). I just appreciate when sources are properly credited - but even more so - directly and overtly credited, especially when the source could otherwise remain ambiguous (for instance, had I not noticed the blog in the video, I probably would not have known they had one). Obviously, I could have followed your link, but I was not so much interested in your website, as I was theirs. I do understand your motives or purpose (or what I would assume them to be), as you (your website/company) obviously want traffic and business, as well. But offering a direct and overt source (when available) is considerate, and most appreciated by those who wish to pursue that source.
I appreciate your videos (I find them to be of better quality than similar channels on here). You seem to show great admiration for this couple and their achievements, but that is somewhat stifled by the fact that you don't credit them more directly here on youtube.
Jessica Showalter
Bryce is such a calm and sweet person. I love his expression every time when he enters a tiny house- I see a spark😍👌🏾.
I m huge fan of this channel and Bryce ofcourse!
So wonderful to return and see how this family is thriving. Thanks for sharing. Smile!
I could imagine waking up and going to sleep to those beautiful blue dreamy eyes. She is one lucky gal.
It is really cozy, it looks bigger inside because of the color of the paint. The arrangement is perfectly done. The height make the house spacious. They have a lot of space for gardening and makes the outside more beautiful and relaxing. Very inspiring especially when you are planing to make one for your family. Make more video for tiny house. Thank you.
By the way I want to congratulate the couple for having a very beautiful daughter, it makes the family more colorful and happy. An ideal couple to follow. May your family multiply and have a wonderful life ahead.
I love that baby. She insisted on joining in on the conversation.
What a beautiful family and I like some of the ideas in their tiny house. Great video! Wish them the best!
Nice house . Love the flooring on the ceiling over kitchen .
Paul Walker lives ...
Omg yes. I thought the same. He looks just like him
JM DF OH GOSH I WAS THINKING THE SAME! Or at least a relative.
still my favourite tiny house and my favourite couple too.
Love this couple, they are so candid and sweet! And I love their new addition....baby Hazel is adorable! Thanks for all the wonderful tiny house episodes Bryce! We love you!! :D
I really loved this house the first time around and I think it just became better. Very happy for this revisit. And I love the accent :)
What a nice and lovely couple!
Wow, that baby will be 9 years old now, what awesome childhood memories she'll have ❤❤❤❤
This is probably one of the most amazing places I have ever seen ☺️
A very good interview. Very nice family, beautiful tiny home, idyllic surroundings -- I hope it remains the "dream come true" for them for many, many years to come :)
This is my favourite tiny house - so practical and yet so attractive on the eye. The garden also is inspiring me to get going on mine. It’s given me the idea to empty my magnesium bath water onto the garden instead of down the drain.
This is lovely. It's nice to see a small family "living" in a small space like this. So precious and admirable.
Their home is elegant and beautiful enough to grace the pages of a magazine. What an amazing house and property, and Shaye and Tom have set the standard for Tiny Mobile Homes throughout the world. Thank you for allowing us to visit.
Lovely house and a lovely couple. I like the garden and everything now that it's finished, well done, one of my favorite houses!
baby hazel is adorable! love her! great house guys
The woman seems so much more happier than last time - probably just the stress of finishing and getting the tiny house ready, but she seems much more relaxed and at ease now.
They'd only just moved in in the first video. ✌
When I talk to people about tiny homes and they give me an odd look, I should send them to look at this home. It's so beautiful. I love the kitchen's ceiling, how the home is decorated, and that garden.
can we have a link to their cottage build please. I love this tiny house.
This is how it's done! A lot of people, could learn a lot of things, from this lovely couple. A fantastic stress free start to life for little Hazel, and a do-no-harm approach to life that is a wonderful guiding principle, and great legacy. Good luck to the family, and thanks also to 'Living Big In A Tiny House', for bringing this to us.
And now they're broken up but still really good friends and her new house and location look AMAZING
Ikr. I almost want a tiny house like that one.
I am wondering if you will be going back to film their cottage once it is finished? You wet my appetite with a couple of shots of the cottage. I would like see how it turns out. If it is anything like the tiny house it should be spectacular.
This is my hands down my favourite! I can't get enough of it!! Now I want my own little house just like theirs!
Wow, it was so nice to this family one year later. They made their small house so cozy. TFS. Cute baby Hazel!
They are such a lovely couple and they had such a good idea!
...mom still looks great... ...and so does the house.
love the place, love the family...
Coming from the 1st video and I love how the house looks after they finished 😍 And a baby girl 🥰 Let see how the cottage looks 🤗
Beautiful place to raise a child. It's like living outdoors without getting wet. Best of luck to the family.
The open pantry 😂😂😂Wait until you kid crawls 😜😜
SurfergirlKH we never closed up our stuff, you can actually teach a baby/toddler not to open everything
SpecialK you can always tell how old a family’s kids are by how high they’ve had to move the little and dangerous stuff.
We used the trade option. Take away the unwanted item with a good item, saying trade, plrase. The no's did not start until age 4.
congratulations for this awesome people, thanks for share the way you living I saw and your eyes the peacefull you have, GOD BLESS you all the time and congrats for you baby,..........
This is great to see how their home has transformed in this time and how the space suits them well. I really love the added desk space, it works so well. And my fav part I think is the lounge room area. So great to re-visit this place, as it really stuck in my mind after the first time I saw it, as it seams to be such a great design.
What a beautiful family in a beautiful tiny house and a productive garden!
The guy looks so much like Paul Walker!!
Yes thats exactly what i thought. He does look like paul walker
Very
Even sounds like Paul
Thoroughly enjoyed both the video's of Shaye Hazel and Tom ,you did a great interview of their place and ideas Living Big -I subscribed -gave you all a like and saved this to my favorites.
I'd like to see their small house if they'll have you back a third time.
Good luck in your build.
Cheers! Yup, we will certainly be back to check out their small straw bale cottage once it's finished. Thanks for watching and subscribing! :)

+Living Big In A Tiny House have they finished their straw bale cottage?
If you visit them again, please take a look in their cottage too! :)

This is one of my favorites! I'm so happy you went back to visit them again. I hope you will go back when their little cottage is finished because I'd love to see that too.
What a gorgeous garden! Love the chicken rescue. :) Such a lovely family.
This is for sure my personal favorite as well. They done such a beautiful job! I would love to see their cottage they are currently building when it's finished and I would love to see my tiny homes with families with kids in them :)

I love the house and you have a very beautiful daughter and family
I really love the family and how close they are to each other. I love their lifestyle and their home-it just radiates joy and describes the family's character so well. Great job choosing this family, Bryce!
The husband said something very important (to me)...he doesn't miss, or remember, any of the things they've gotten ridden of. That is such a freeing thought. Less is more.
I absolutely love this idea. I really want to have a nice tiny home to live in. Awesome you're able to tow it, so it's not as if you need to move away from it if say a better job comes up some place else. It puts into perspective the things you need. Unfortunately I'm really into music, so my speakers and computers, guitars, and keyboards would require customization, but with that comes uniqueness which I think is definitely a good thing. I like how the money required is far less than a normal sized pre-built home which allows for greater investment into good property, whereby you actually have land to have healthy chickens as well as to grow crops and what not. Love love love the idea.
Is it me or does the guy look a lot like Paul Walker.
Haha. A lot of people say that!
I thought the same thing...... its the eyes
too soon.
lol....too soon for what?
Yes, the blue eyes
Shane and Tom, it is so wonderful to share your dream! thanks so very much - it is especially nice to meet you new addition Hazel - and that growing garden area amongst the amazing magical place called tiny little home.
Great to see the family glowing with health and confidence.
such a beautiful family wow and lovely home and sweet baby!!!!
I have been waiting for this video for 1year now love them, i really feel like this is the best tiny house ive seen so far and ive seen alot :) my personal favorite to :)
This was really awesome, one of my favorites even though it's an older video and I'm just seeing it now. I love their garden, their attitude, the design of the house, everything.
This is hands down, my favourite. Love the layout, materials, finishings, the inside and the outside. Fantastic turnout. And an utterly charming family to boot. thanks!.
This made me so happy! And the chickens!!
what a cute baby
I really love, how they make everything work for them. they have a beautiful house! and their little baby girl, is adorable as well! I'm so happy that these chickens, finally get to be chickens! I know we eat them, but I believe battery cages are very cruel. I love how they figured out the perfect way to reuse resources, recycle everything, and just use everything around them. great job guys!
Shaye and Tom's has always been my favorite. I'm so glad you revisited bc I wish they had a bigger presence on youtube. They've done such a beautiful job. Theirs is my dream set up!
I've lived in less than 500 square feet for a decade,,, coming from a 6 bedroom house. I find I have more room than I need. Less is best.
Its a gorgeous wee space. I'm just wondering what will happen when wee Hazel gets up a bit? Will they make the lounge area into a converted bed space for her or themselves? Or is the other building they are making going to help with that? Its a beautiful plot of land they live on, its so lovely to see it and the family thriving. Lee x
there have been other tiny house families with small kids apart from adding in some safety screens find their kids grow up in the environment so learn about using stairs etc; But guess by the time that th baby wont be sleeping in their room they may have moved into their new tiny home they are building.
helen Beee Hi Helen, thanks for the reply. I wasn't sure whether they were moving out into the other tiny house or whether it was going to be an extension so to speak....like the kids quarters or something, lol. There's one thing for sure though....the couple won't have much privacy with their new addition so maybe a kids quarter wouldn't be the worst idea once the wee one gets up a bit, lol. Thanks so much for letting me know. Lee xx
Crafty Loops oh I see you meant the little oft area over the sitting area could become a sleeping loft but would need a ladder which might introduce new problems. Hopefully we will get to see further updates over time would be interesting to see how they deal with it if they stay in "Lucy" (the tiny house name!).
A cupboard bed with storage under would work well in the lounge too
I find the functionality the most Beautiful part of this revisit! AMAZING! Thanks so much for sharing this.
Aw bless them for rescuing the battery hens! The chickens are so cute! They must be so happy now! And Hazel's cute of course :)
I want to know how she managed those stairs pregnant. Center of gravity is completely tossed off. I never would have made it. lol I really enjoy watching these videos. My husband and I have been married 15 years, we have 3 kids, and we've rented our entire relationship. I am leaning, more all the time, toward trying to get a piece of land and just living small (read: within our means). A place of our own would be so worth giving up the clutter.
