A 38 yo playing in the pl is too much honestly. Every single game is played at a cup final intensity. He did well in the first season but i think he ran out of energy in the 2nd season. Just too much to handle week and week out at his age. I've always said he would've done brilliant in a lower league. He should move back to lisbon.

Lack of support from manager ( ten hag) and teammates. Now hes getting that support . Al nassr s team and manager are treating him good. So he's able to provide. Same goes to Portugal, Fernando Santos didn't support him in wc benched him. Now Roberto Martinez is supporting him so he s doing good

It is crystal clear that why he was struggling to find his form with United this season it was due to lack of support from the manager plus he was also mentally upset after all he lost his child. I am still so pissed that Ten Hag treated Cristiano in such a disrespectful manner especially in period where he needed the most support. Plus in World Cup Santos disrespected the man by benching him during the most crucial period. While people said his decline was due to age I had this believe that it's not just age there were so many factors behind this! Tbh he has never truly lost his talent. He just lost confidence. In this league he gets to try more dribbles and build up confidence. He also gets to score more from outside the box.
