I usually just do the same process for 808s tbh. Eq, bass boosting vsts, leveling

what if when you turn the veolicty up on the kicks and the 808's all the way it makes it disorted and just way too much? do i turn it down on the channel rack or mixer? or just leave it and put a soft clipper on the master?

Yeah, lately I have just been boosting my 808s but I still keep this up because it can still be helpful in certain circumstances

Dope so you add nothing to the master track? I keep it at -6 db then bounce to wave form and then boost it up with ozone not sure if that’s good haha and I’m on logic not sure if it knock like FL...

Please if your new learn about gain staging to get cleaner sounding mixes when you clip without gain staging it ruins the whole dynamics of a beat
