It is so cool to see that the mactelecats are helping to make these videos
Watching this connected to a U7 Pro Wall 😂
lmao same
same
Sameeee hahaha
Same over here bud
Really wish they made a paintable cover that could fit these w/o having it flush. I have no drywall and would like to have a paintable cover. This isn't an option right ?
Why is the upload speed always half the download speed in these speed tests. I see the same at home. Is it a Unifi thing, a phone thing or a wifi thing in general?
The Ubiquiti videos show this in wall installed high on the wall. I wonder how much of a “performance hit” if mounted low where a “traditional” wall outlet is especially if a desk is up against that same location. That desk mount is a good idea
Thank you for sharing your experience with new equipment🎉
Any word when the 8-port ultra Poe switch is getting that outdoor enclosure?
Love mine U7 Pro wall, not so hot as U7 Pro, using it with stand (helps with heat a lot), and wifi is awesome fast (need to get pro max switch to have 2.5glan) as atm cabel is speed limiter
Will this work at the ceiling? or is the radiation pattern not adequate for that?
Do you have any plans to demo the new softphone features added the Identity app? Its something I am very interested in but don't want to go all in on hardware until I have seen a demo and can't find one anywhere.
I hid my u6 in wall behind a painting… better than the paintable wall mount imo
U7 pro is working great. Vlan speed has been resolved per the recent firmware upgrade. U7 enterprise likely comes out this fall?
well i have a full unifi network from the USW PRO 24 switch to a U6-LR to 2 U6 Extender as i have a huge house that needed a 2nd 1 :( also a USW-Flex-Mini attached my to tv center my wifi does reach to the road full house even in the basement Wifi6 is crazy fast i don't see the need in getting U7 for many years I run a local docker of unifi-network-controller Unifi is great and easy to IT support love it. next upgrade will be the SFP+ to RJ45 Adapter x2 as my 1 server has 2.5GB & my PC has 2.5GB I like to use the 10GB ports on the switch......
They need to standardize and commit to a wall mount bracket that can be used for all future devices so I never need to drill new holes and patch the old ones before I mount anything on the wall
What about heat dissipation?
You shouldn't turn off the other frequencies for the test.Wifi 7 uses MLO (multi link operation). This combines all 3 frequencies to work together as one. I also noticed on their website that this feature is coming soon so the speed should be faster after they update it. 🙂
MLO isn’t available yet that’s why I turned it off also I don’t think the pixel I have supports mlo
@@MactelecomNetworks ok thanks for sharing 👍
Me wants too see the new ai pro tingy and the intercom wire setup 🙏🙏amazing video tho cheers 🥂
Can pro wall 7 use an older dream box ?
I wanted to get one of these to replace my current ISP router (I don't want to rely on their buggy webUI that crashes all the time and has no backup options) but I can easily get over 1.7 gigabits over WiFi 6 on it (it's a ZTE F8748Q that has the 6GHz band disabled and a really weird implementation of MLO). I can't see any reviewers talking about the fan noise of this model though, ahhh. (I've heard that it's really audible at night on the normal U7 Pro)
What about finally trying something else than unifi? Mikrotik devices are also great
Are these wall type mounts designed to primarily broadcast in One Direction? Would you generally want to always put them on an exterior wall so they faced inward?
Well, got it facing one direction and signal is decent behind too so i guess it can handle area coverage a bit
Why is the ping so high if you didn't leave your home network? I was expecting something in the
There’s a table stand for U7 Pro Wall but not for Intercom Viewer?
I said the same thing watching this video lol. It would be great if Ubiquiti would make a table stand for the Intercom Viewer.
@@eastkentuckylabs I’m currently working on a 3D printed stand. I’ll upload it to thingiverse when I’m done.
@@_intrepid Thank you!
Does this have a fan onboard? Wondering if this is audible. Looking for on wall installation but still in doubt.
Yes
I hope they come out with a U7 Mesh.
Coming soon!
I hope the release an upgraded USW-Flex with 2.5GbE ports on it.
Can you say something about the unfi nas rumors?
It’s a rumour 😃
Expected better performance, can get those speeds on U6-Enterprise
If you have something that can run the internet test utilizing a 320 mhz channel width, you should compare it to the test in your video.
That painted cover makes it to me look like crap, just leave it as designed or flush mount. I do like the desktop mount as well for different applications.
You weren't first!
Never said I was
@@MactelecomNetworks No, I meant all of the other people that want to claim first to comment. 😀
Ohhhh hahah ok I got it I didn’t see any of those comments
Watching this was kinda cringe. Especially using the most expensive RJ45 ethernet cable for an in wall. lol.
The more expensive the patch cable the faster it goes
nope nope nope fan in AP ? pass no way
