- This is the almighty Brabus 720 911 Turbo S!
That’s right, whereas once Brabus was synonymous with working solely on Mercedes, it’s now venturing out to work with other manufacturers, leading to the creation of this incredible Porsche!
So let’s take a look at what you get over the standard 911 Turbo S. Starting with the design, there are a number of exterior tweaks over the standard 911 Turbo. Around the back, you’ll find a large carbon fibre wing, a carbon fibre rear diffuser, and 3D-printed exhaust tips! Up front, you’ll also find a new carbon fibre front splitter, and naturally, there’s Brabus badging across the car.
On the inside, you’ll find leather literally everywhere - including the floor mats and in the door bins! There’s also the option to add additional carbon fibre trim.
Brabus hasn’t just worked on the design, though. There’s a choice of two upgrades available for the engine - the 720 or the 820. The latter is the range-topper, where the power output on the 3.8-litre twin-turbo increased to 820hp and 950Nm of torque. It’ll hit 60mph in 2.5 seconds and has a top speed of 211mph!
In terms of price, well, it’ll cost you… the 720 costs £150,000 more than a regular 911 Turbo S, while the 820 costs £170,000 more! So is it worth it? You’ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

One of the things that I love about the 992 Turbo S is how clean, simple and understated its design is. It has all the performance you need but stays under the radar and doesn't get unwanted attention. The Brabus, for me at least, is counterintuitive.
It's a porche, it's gonna be fast. If it was a skoda Octavia it would be understated.

There are a lot of standart 911 on the road and the turbo S doesn‘t stand out as much as other cars in it‘s price range.
Of course everybody knows that Porsches are fast and expensive, but I think they would still be surprised by the Turbo S‘es performance

The 911 Turbo is about unassuming understated presence and epic performance for sensible money (compared to other cars at this performance point). This mod nulls both of those attributes.

So true. You can get the Litchfield LM820 tune complete with exhaust etc., do the interior with Porsche Individual and save ~£150k on the Brabus. And have a better looking car at the end of it.

You can't possibly say what's "about right" since you don't have the numbers. Obviously, this is the first Brabus Porsche, hence there will be a shitload of development and legal costs, tests to run for road permissions etc. Especially in Germany. Even with those number you couldn't tell what's "about right", though, since you don't know their business plan and the other costs. This stuff is complex. You can't just add up the part costs and think that's the price.
@@dieterdohlen6386 Their business plan always has been targeting super riches mainly out in the middle east with their "limited and exclusive" marketing theme. While we may be way off on the metrics wise, I agree with Chris because these "upgrades" can't just be slapping on a few carbon fiber pieces and badging/upholstery replacements because it just simply doesn't justify the $170k price tag from consumer's perspective even with other minimalistic mechanical upgrades (wheels/exhaust/suspension, etc.).
But again, like many other luxury "tuners", Brabus is only after the riches who doesn't give a F paying the money as long as they get to have that no one else has.
Basically it’s a Miami Beach pimp-out package with a tune. I can understand wanting a mild tune on a Turbo S, but go with a reputable performance tuner like Ruf and keep the baller bits off this beauty

The Brabus Badge simply doesn't fit Porsche. They have completely different approaches of what this car needs or wants to be.

Brabus is a shitty company, which got popular just because of caloborations with mercedes and youtubers, their tuning, for which they ask 50-150k its fking hilarious, you could get much better one for 10-30k basically everywhere

I even think the stock turbo S wheels are much nicer than the brabus items.
Brabus need to do this type of upgrade to more cars like this (Audi R8 and Mercedes GT-R). I would love to see a drag race between this and the regular 911 Turbo S Cabriolet. Awesome review there carwow. All the content you've been pumping out the past few weeks has been extraordinary.
They actually do for many mercedes cars, it is upto to the customers. If u have a Merc GT-R, you can send it down to Brabus and they'll do it.
R8 is N/A so can’t get hardly any more power out of it

It's a turbo s known for being quick. Also it's almost 200k stock. Brabus charges almost 200k for these upgrades. You better be able to feel it if you are basically paying for two cars.

Everything about the exterior and interior is just so right. Not like other tuning companys, that make the cars look like hot wheels cars. The negatives are no feeling of extra speed or excitement and the big cost.

WOW!! So incredibly expensive for just some wheels, tune, interior and body kit. I'd rather get a Turbo S and swap the turbos, intercoolers, exhaust, tune, E85, and wheels myself. The interior and stock body is nice enough.

Brabus have a great way of tweaking their cars to a degree that's stand out yet still relatively subtle and not too shouty. You know it's a brabus but it isn't over the top. They really do a fantastic job.

90% styling and a remap - i dont know why they state it gets new turbos for 820 when litchfield get 820 from an exhaust/intake upgrade and a remap - also whats all this talk about a piggyback ecu - surely they mean a tune?
@@scott7024 No, I think they do mean piggy-back ECU. These boxes are notorious for underperforming - which is rather implied in the review when Mat says he can’t tell the difference…. They also add a blow off valve - which I couldn’t hear…. It’s all very ‘chav-tastic’ in my opinion. The leather floor mats are one of the stupidest ideas I’ve encountered. All in all it makes Porsches own (extensive) options list look reasonably priced - which it definitely is not (only Porsche could get away with charging extra for a rear window wiper!).

911 is my all time favourite cars, combined with brabus that just sounds like perfection. Ide love to see what brabus do to a mecan or cayenne, should be coming soon ide imagine and I think that will be something special like the g wagon brabus.

I mean, shaving 0.1 seconds of a sub 3 second launch is difficult. As you can see, it took a 25% increase in power just to be 0.3 quicker.
Having owned a few 911 turbos ,there is no such thing as a 911 turbo that needs more power .
You can always use more power, maybe it's not the car for you

If you think 600bhp isn't enough you probably shouldn't be driving anything. This isn't for me. I love the Porsche 911 Turbo S just as it comes out of the factory and it also comes with Porsche badges and branding. Much better than the clumsy Brabus badges.
