- Many people have been asking about the place I stayed during my last skiing trip. The video is finally edited! Although the ski season is coming to an end, I highly recommend this accommodation. While it's not located on the hot spring street near the station, it's right next to the Iwahara Ski Resort. You can open the room window and enjoy the view of the ski resort! The scenery is beautiful, something you won't experience with accommodations near the station.
From Tokyo, it only takes 1 hour and 15 minutes by Shinkansen to reach Echigo Yuzawa Station. If you stay at "Shiro Shiro Inn," you can rent equipment at the nearby Seitatsu Ski Gear shop, as both establishments collaborate. Upon arrival, you can leave your luggage at the ski gear shop, head straight to the slopes, and they will transport your luggage back to the inn. After skiing, they'll take you back to the inn to rest. When checking out, you can leave all your equipment at the inn; no need to return it separately! Even though it's not right next to the station, transportation is not an issue. The inn can provide a ride if you want to go to the station for dinner.
The significant advantage is that it's managed by Taiwanese, making it suitable for beginners. You can chat with them about skiing during the shuttle ride, providing an extra sense of security. Highly recommended for those planning to ski in Echigo Yuzawa next time!
