Just wanted to put a comment here to say thanks for the reaction, I really appreciate you taking the time to go back and listen back through the lyrics and actually try and work out what Billie is trying to convey
The "My Lucifer is lonely" line refers to that picture where you have an angel on one shoulder and Lucifer on the other side. When your Lucifer is lonely you are not torn between these two sides anymore but you follow the wrong path (environment destruction in this case).
This song is about climate change. If you listen with that in mind, it all makes sense. She said the Christian grannies really came for her on this one bc it was interpreted along those religious lines. Edited to add that you got there after I posted my comment. Also, the “venom” is oil. She’s feathered and landed in an oil slick. Just like animals in the ocean when there are oil spills. She talks about the hills burning in Cali, and also she mentions “when the water starts to rise” as in when the glaciers melt and the sea levels rise. She said “you can’t be my friend without the greenery “ and a lot of people thinks she means money, but it’s greenery as in trees and forests, which man is destroying. Billie’s whole family is vegan and she’s also a huge advocate for helping prevent climate change and for saving the planet.

when she references god she means mother nature, hence the "i warned you" and "hills burn in california, my time to ignore ya". also the "all the good girls go to hell" is in referenve to the fact that all the good girls or people who try to rise up against the environmental injustice go to "hell" as in...hell on earth, because even god (mother nature) herself has enemies. but once the water starts to rise and heaven (capitalistic heaven and natural resources) is out of sight, god/the good girls will want the devil (the one who created this entire global warming mess, alluding to people in power) on her team. because that would be the only way to bring climate change to an end. so in a sense, if the good girls protest against the ppl in power, instead of befriending them...theyll regret it later, because it wont bring forth real change. so become allies with the devil, and play him at his own game.
