  • Have you ever heard about Camino de Finisterre? The end of the world?
After finishing Camino de Santiago (Portugues way) I couldn't stop walking so I decided to be a pilgrim for 3 more days and walk from Santiago de Compostela to Fisterra/Finisterre.
Camino Finisterre is my favorite Camino, it was so lush and beautiful and definitely the most challenging one. Galicia is a mountainous place with many hills, ups, and downs.
Thank you everyone for watching my videos, I appreciate every single one of you! I sometimes feel like I am not a solo traveler as long as I got you!

...just discovered your Camino clips, Diana... I love that you think and share so much about how you feel, and whats going on inside of you... the end was so heartwarming - I got reminded of how I felt, when I arrived at Finisterre at the end of my first camino (I've done 2 by now)... and there was a goose-bumpy moment: this very morning I posted a cartoon of Charlie Brown on facebook, where Peggy says to him: 'It takes a long time to understand nothing', which I amended to: '..after long and intense studies I eventually found out, that I don't know nothin'...', - a bit jokingly, but there's that deeper truth behind it... and here you are, with your final thoughts at 'the end of the world', that we humans once knew... I so felt with your tears in that moment... 🥲

The shots of the velvet dawn and the view from the end of the earth are stunning, and silly Diana is adorable and funny. But the reason why I think you're such an amazing person is not that you can make beautiful videos and vibrate the affection that is felt by anyone who watches your videos. It's because when you see something beautiful and powerful, you let it in with its entirety, overtaking and overwhelming you so you become one with them. That's how I see you: brave and courageous enough to be vulnerable and emotionally connected with everything you experience.

Diana, you created another wonderful video. It was amazing to see how your videography and narration skills improved during this journey. The ending of this video was absolutely perfect. The photography was impressive and your ability to express your emotions was impactful. Understanding exactly how little we know is the first step on the journey to wisdom. Congratulations on this achievement and be well.

You are an inspirational young woman. I was already planning on doing the caminho Português next June but your videos have given me confidence that I can also do it. I lost my wife of 34 years in 2020 and have been walking in a fog since. My walk goal is to reconnect with my faith and not be angry for losing my wife. I also want to come to terms and accept that my wife is gone and gain the courage that life is worth living. Thank You for you videos . I hope you know they have a positive impact on many people. Best wishes for many walks for you and many adventures in your life

      Hello dear,
I’m so sorry to hear about your wife. Nobody deserves to die or go through the loss of their loved ones at that age. Thanks for your vulnerability, since you are open to talk about your pain, maybe the next step is to start healing and I wish you all the best! Camino is a special place for people who want to heal, I met an addict who is now 3 months sober, I met someone who also lost a spouse, someone who recovered from a serious injury, etc. Walking is a Theraphy and Camino makes it very special!
      Take care
      Diana

I wanted to stop in and say I don t know your true pain, in that I m not here to tell you how to feel. But my heart knows love and I think she would want you to live for her. Take her with you and set out on adventures and have people in your life to help you achieve peace. She 'll never leave you, so let her walk with you. Live an amazing life and know she s very proud of you. Good luck to you.

The Cape of Finisterre, I cried there. But OMG I cried even more as your Camino story (at least the walking part) came to an end. You flooded my heart with memories of the magical experience. Yes it is difficult perhaps impossible to explain why this happens, it just does and it's ok for it to simply be that way.

Thank you for doing such a great video so that it reminds me of the feeling of being on that path again. So many hills!

What a great video you made there!😍 You´re a natural storyteller. And a touching end with the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Apropos Bach: last week I actually visited the church in Leipzig, where Bach played music for many years and is buried. We completed that one in 2018, did the Primitivo in 2019 and did the Way of St. Francis from Florence to Rome in 2021. We are feeling the pull to return to Spain, but definitely want to do the Portuguese way too. Hopefully we can next Spring and we will do your route. Can’t wait. I am so glad you had such a powerful reaction and experience on the Camino. It truly has been a gift in my life, and it’s a blessing that keeps growing stronger. I too, just need to walk. And there is no better way to “see” a country than by walking it. I really like the Camino Finisterre. It definitely has a relaxing vibe, especially if you ever do it after walking the Frances during a peak month.
I guess I'm one of those "Camino addicts". I just walked my 7th one this past September-October when I walked a portion of the Frances from Pamplona to Santiago. I have over 3000 Camino miles on my legs and feet. I gotta admit, watching your videos made me a bit emotional about the Camino and longing to be on it again.
and yes....snoring in albergues sucks (sometimes I fear I have done it before 😬). For those who it may keep awake, bring some good earplugs. Well worth it.

Wow 3000 miles?? Which is your favorite Camino?
I have to admit, Wax earplugs got my ear infected. I had to see the doctor 🥲

@@dianawanderlust For the vibe and community/friendships etc I would say the Frances, and for me especially the stretch from about Pamplona to Burgos. For the scenery I liked the Camino Portugues central route, all the way into Finisterre after a rest day or two in Santiago.

@@dianawanderlust You will like the Frances. I'm no introvert on the Camino but it definitely can get overly crowded at times, but if you time it right you can dodge a good percentage of the crowds and of course having an open mind and relaxed nature helps. Even the couple of times I walked it when it was more crowded I still enjoyed it and met many cool people and made friends I still have contact with.
