---- About the Pattern ----
Daiyu is a pocket-sized baby dragon amigurumi pattern. It fits snugly in your palm and is the perfect birthday gift or holiday gift for any dragon lover or fantasy creature enthusiast. Daiyu’s name is Chinese and means “generation” and “jade”, and was designed for the 2024 Lunar New Year of the Dragon!
The PDF pattern includes photo references to guide you through the doll making process, links to the complete step-by-step video tutorial, and a printable coloring sheet to help you plan out your dragon’s colors. It also has two different ear options.

Height: 4.5 inches (11.5cm)
LEVEL
★★☆☆☆ Familiar beginner. Requires familiarity with stitches used (below), changing yarn colors, attaching yarn, and sewing pieces together.
STITCHES & TECHNIQUES USED (US TERMINOLOGY)
FO = fasten off
YO = yarn over
sk = skip (a stitch)
ch = chain
sl st = slip stitch
sc = single crochet
inc = increase (insert 2 sc in same st)
dec = decrease (sc 2 sts together)
dc = double crochet
dc-inc = double crochet increase (insert 2 dc in the same st)
BLO = back loops only

Thank you for the crochet along, It certainly was a bit more difficult than what I was crocheting until now but not impossible for a beginner, Daiyu came out super cute!

The two-colored ears (webbed ears) version is in the PDF pattern! Link to the PDF pattern is in the description box. The free version in the video includes the single-color, no-sew ears.

Does anyone know how much roughly it would cost for the material used in making one dragon please? 🐉
Hello!
I'm not a professional or anything, just a thirteen year old, but I do sell my crochet products so I have a good idea of what materials cost.
It depends on the size of the skein you're using, and also whether or not you're using the plastic safety eyes like in the video.
But say for instance you are using the size yarn skeins that the lady in the video is, and safety eyes, one dragon would cost around $4:00, roughly.
Don't take this as exact in any way, because yarn comes in all sorts of prices that vary from size to company to store.
I based that cost on skeins that cost about $4:99, by the way.

If you don’t have any yarn it could cost you $4. A. Skein but you would get many out of those , eyes about $3 a box stuffing about $3 a bag … could sell for $8 - $12 each is what I’ve seen online but so many are selling them so you might have a hard time finding buyers

Because you get multiple dragons out of a few skeins of yarn, a box of safety eyes, etc, one, just one dragon, would cost about $4.
Again, that is what you mentioned already, but just to be clear.

Did I miss how to do the sew on ears?
Ears were made in other part directly on top of the head
They're crocheted onto the head without sewing! :)
